Two more years have passed and he had a massive improvement in all terms whether it was his body, chi, mana, or elements' manipulation. He had also once again started practicing his fighting technique, consisting of boxing and Muay Thai.

Even though, in a sense, Layla Miller was not his real mother. His mother had managed to grow on him. He treated Layla as his mother right now. He was alone in his house right now. Since today was Noah's birthday, Layla had gone out to get a cake which she had ordered in advance as a surprise for Noah. However, It was no surprise for Noah as he was clear on his mother's character and habits.

While he was waiting, he suddenly heard a knock rang on his door. With his powerful soul, he could sense something had happened. This was an instinct born from his powerful soul. Soon, he would hear something that would crush his heart. He opened the door with a heavy heart.

"Hello! Are you a family member of Layla Miller?" A policeman was standing in front of him. The man felt bad to tell a bad news to a small child like Noah.

Noah began to fell something was wrong but he braced himself. "Yes, I'm her son, Noah. What can I do for you?"

"Noah, can you call out your dad or any adult in your home. I have some news for them."

"I don't have a dad. I lived with my mom alone."

The policeman felt dejected, "Noah, your mom was involved in a car crash."

The policeman's words stabbed straight through his heart. His stoic fast was totally tensed. He bit his body to keep his quivering body calm. "Wh... What happen?"

"A 4-years-old child suddenly ran out to the busy road in front of your mother. And there was an incoming car that did not notice the child. At this point, Layla ran and pushed the child away. However, she could not avoid the crash. She died on her way to the hospital.I'm very sorry for your loss."

At that point, Noah did not hear the rest of the explanation. A single tear flowed out of his right eye. He was in a daze from hearing such terrible news. This pain that had been stabbing his heart was worse than any suffering that he had received in the void. The pain of losing you loved sometimes overwhelmed any other physical pains.

He cried, mourned and sobbed. Finally, he wiped away all his tears and stood up and accepted the policeman's kind gesture to send him to the hospital. From that point afterwards, it was a blur for him. His life that has been colorful at his mother's side since his birth after countless years of suffering, had been severed by this accident.

Two days later, the funeral was arranged for his mother. The ceremony proceeded without any problems.

Noah did not cry even a single tear. His face maintained the same daze look. Everybody left and only Noah and a children service's officer remained. She was responsible for Noah. She was supposed to bring Noah back to an orphanage managed by the children's service after the funeral. However, Noah requested to go back to his house for one last time. She did not have the heart to reject the already dejected child who had just lost his mother.
