sorpresa

"I have a plan." I announced while devouring the delicious food. "Mmhmm. You and your genius plans. The last time you said you have a plan, you got us into trouble." Asher stared at me blankly. "Shut up ! I was 6 !" I fumed and snatched his piece of chicken away. "Hey ! It's mine !" he protested. "Whoops..." I smiled innocently and chewed on it. Then I cleared my throat, "Anyways, I was thinking of sneaking into our parent's house-" "ABSOLUTELY NOT !" both Xan and Asher stood up. "Geez. I didn't know that you two were so cooperated. Hear me out first." I glanced at them. They both sighed and sat down. "I know, it sounds like a crazy plan-" "It IS a crazy plan, chica." Xan interrupted. Asher nodded, "I agree with blonde." I rolled my eyes and waved my hands, "Let me finish my sentence ! Yes ! We are sneaking in, but we are not provoking them. I just want to ask and confront them about the whole 'I killed her child' thing. I want to tell my mother that I'm sorry." "You found out what happened ?" Xan asked. "Yes. Akïla's mother originally had triplets. But Kïls swallowed the fetus of her sibling, so there were only twins. Ophelia blames it on Akïla." Asher informed him. "But it's not your fault, chica !" Xan exclaimed. "That's what I've been telling her..." Asher grumbled. I shrugged my shoulders, "Well, a part of it was my fault, even though I wasn't even born. I want to take responsibility for that." "No...don't. It's really not your fault. Stop thinking about it." "Yeah, forget it Kïls ! You don't have to waste your time on this..." Asher and Xan tried to change my mind, but I wouldn't budge. "Guys ! Enough ! I know you two care about me, I appreciate that. But I've already made up my mind. I'm going, and there's nothing that can change me. You two can either help me, or stay out of my way." "Would it kill you to stop being so stubborn, eh ?" Asher asked, irritated. "Yes." I replied, looking at him in the eye, deadpan. Xan sighed, "I'll help you, chica. Just please leave when there's danger. Don't let your emotions cloud your judgement." I nodded and turned to Asher, "How about you, Ash ?" He shrugged, "I guess a little fun won't hurt..." "Atta boy !" I grinned and slapped his back. "On one condition !" he held his hand up. "Say it" "You need to read for 2 hours starting from tomorrow." I groaned, "Fine...We're setting off tonight."

OUTSIDE PARENT'S HOUSE...

"I'm starting to think that this is a bad idea." I muttered while looking around. "Ha. You don't say ?" Asher commented sarcastically through the earpiece. I can already imagine him rolling his bright brown eyes by the way he's talking. "Geez, really needed the encouragement. Thanks." I crouched down and snorted. "You're so annoying, Kïls. Did anyone tell you that ?" "You little-" "Alright guys, enough ! You two are unbelievable..." Xan interrupted. "Asher, please tell me you have hacked into the power and security system already." "Oh of course, blonde. While you were flirting with my sister, I've already got it done." Asher replied in a monotone. "What the ? How did you know that ?" I spluttered. "You should always remember to turn off your microphone, chica." He giggled. "How dare you ! Ugh. Whatever, let's go inside. Stay connected, Ash." I turned on my flashlight and sneaked inside. It was eerily silent, with no movement at all. "This way." I tugged at Xan's arm and lead him to my parent's bedroom. "It's locked." Xan whispered whilst fumbling at the doorknob. I pulled a bobby pin from my hair and inserted it into the keyhole. I jiggled it a few times and the door clicked opened. "Let's go." I motioned him to follow me into the lion's den. We tiptoed around the room and saw my parents sleeping soundly. "You go to my father's side and cuff him. I'll do the same." He nodded and followed my instructions. I dragged a chair next to their bed and sat down. Aw. They look so peaceful. Time for some trouble. "WAKE UP, DOUCHEBAGS !" I shrieked on the top of my lungs. "Was that really necessary ?" Xan jumped and asked. Both my parents instinctively reached for their weapons on the nightstand but the handcuffs stopped them. "Looking for this, papa and mama ?" I twirled the gun on my hand. "What the fuck Akïla ? And Xanvier Mayhem ?" Ophelia spatted. "Hello, crazy parents..." Xan murmured. "Hm. Nice to see you too, Ophelia. Miss me ?" I smiled and crossed my legs elegantly. "Tell her I say hi, Kïls." Asher said through the earpiece. "Oh, Asher said fuck you, mom." I giggled. "Ungrateful brat ! You bit-" My father yelled. "Hey hey hey ! Don't you dare say that to her after what you two have done !" Xan narrowed his eyes. I cleared my throat and put on my serious face, "Why did you shoot me ?" Eric (Akïla's father) rolled his eyes, "Not again... No one's answering your stupid questions..." "Answer her question." Xan took the gun from me and put it on his temple. "Fine fine ! I shot you because we hate you, okay ? Happy ?" Eric said impatiently. "You...hate me ?" I repeated blankly. "Is it because I killed my sibling ? I know what happened. Please forgive me, mom. I didn't know. Is that why you hate me ?" "Kïls ! Do not ask for forgiveness ! It's not your f-" Asher screamed but I took the earpiece off and stepped on it. "That's only the part of it, Akïla. You were a problematic child, always refusing to obey our orders. Always screaming and arguing with us." Ophelia scoffed. "Am I really your child ? Or am I just a tool for your job ? At least treat me with some respect !" "We sent you to the orphanage when you were 8. We couldn't handle you." Ophelia continued. "You two promised to come back for me after a year. You promised. And you broke it." I growled. "I received a call from the orphanage, saying that you burn the whole building down, with multiple deaths. You escaped." I rolled my eyes, "The nuns were exaggerating. I did burn the building but there were only injuries, no deaths. Hell, I needed to be free." "You are a devil child, you know that ?" Ophelia groaned. "Like mother, like daughter. What are you trying to say ?" I asked, bored. "All I'm trying to say is... even though you are not a perfect daughter, papa and mama loves you so much."
