Hello. I am Nanimonai Atsukii, a 23 year old retired photographer. 5 years ago, I planned to come to the country and start my photography career. That never happened. Instead, I work at a low rated cafe called Loftis Cafe. It only pays $10 per hour and the other workers are just plain mean. I live in a poorly managed apartment with moldy walls and rusty pipes. One step into the door, and you can smell the dead bugs and heat of the summer as though you stepped into a place where crickets chirp at night and old men smoke cigars on their porch. When there is a breeze, the old smell of mold and rust follow where the wind goes like a game of "follow the leader". My name means nothing, as it translates to nothing. But I own nothing. I own no pets, I own no family, and I own no friends. I have no one to text late at night, no one to savor a meal with, no one to love, and no one to share my pain with. Just as I was to end my life because I thought it meant nothing, I met a boy on that same day. He showed me comfort, my flaws and strengths, how to have fun, how to enjoy life, how to live, how to love, how to late night text, how to savor a meal with a friend, how to share pain, and how to feel pain. Hello. I am Nanimonai Atsukii, a 23 year old retired photographer. And this is the story of how I met a boy on the day my life was to end and took me from nothing, to everything.
