Forty-six

Christmas Eve~

It was 4:00 in the afternoon and it was now about time to start getting ready for Auntie Hana's Christmas dinner.

Taekyung was in the shower while Jaehyuk was quietly wrapping a present for Taekyung and quietly tip toed to put it in the trunk of his car.

When Jaehyuk came back into Taekyung's room, Taekyung had come out of the shower with his towel completely covering his whole body.

He walked over to his drawers and looked through his clothes, getting ready for the Christmas dinner they were going to be joining.

Jaehyuk walked behind Taekyung and slid his arms around his waist. "Just put sweatpants on."

"What? But didn't you say we have to wear fancy clothes?" Taehyung asked.

Jaehyuk pulled out his phone. "Well yeah. We are supposed to but..."

"But what?" Taekyung asked still confused.

Once Jaehyuk had found the messages, he handed Taekyung his phone to explain why he wasn't letting him get ready.

Turns out Auntie Hana had texted Jaehyuk earlier that day. She asked Jaehyuk to make sure that Taekyung didn't get dressed because she already had an outfit prepared for him at her house.

Taekyung shook his head laughing, "Do I dress that bad?!"

"Not at all, baby. It's just that she wants to get you all dolled up." Jaehyuk said kissing the back of Taekyung's head.

Taekyung nodded his head and sighed. He grabbed some underwear from his drawer and a big T-Shirt.

Suddenly he realized that Jaehyuk was behind him and he was too scared to change in front of him.

He turned around to see Jaehyuk already looking back at him smiling. Taekyung shyly mumbled, "Jaehyuk, could you uh... ya know... leave the room.

Jaehyuk pouted and his eyes sparkled like a puppy's. "But I wanted to watch you change."

Taekyung pouted too and his eyes went sparkly just like how Jaehyuk did, "Please, Jaehyukie. I'm so shy."

Jaehyuk glared at Taekyung annoyed. It's pretty obvious that Jaehyuk's puppy eyes are mostly effective but Taekyung's puppy eyes are always effective.

Jaehyuk groaned and whined, "But why, baby? I've seen everything already!" He did his best pout and pulled Taekyung close, rubbing his face on his towel, "Lemme see it."

Taekyung pushed Jaehyuk's head from off of his stomach, "Jaehyukie, seriously."

Jaehyuk pleaded with Taekyung. "Can't I just turn around?!"

Taekyung let out a breath of defeat and made the signal with his finger to let him know to turn around.

Jaehyuk turned around happily, knowing that the way the TV was faced meant that he could see Taekyung's reflection in it.

But he cursed as soon as he saw that the TV decided to have a bunch of smudges on it making it impossible to see Taekyung through it.

Taekyung slid his sweat pants on and put on a shirt. He told Jaehyuk it was okay to turn around and Jaehyuk turned around still disappointed that he didn't get what he wanted.

Jaehyuk got up annoyed and smacked the TV. Taekyung looked up and furrowed his brows, "What was that?"

"I fucking hate that TV." Jaehyuk said sadly and walked to his room to change.

(^o^)

Jaehyuk and Taekyung were in the car on their way to Auntie Hana's house but the car was filled with mostly silence. All the sound that they had was the music playing on the radio.

It's not that there was anything wrong with the boys, but Taekyung was just scrolling through his phone while holding Jaehyuk's hand while he drove.

There was some traffic on their way to their Auntie's house since it was Christmas Eve and people were driving to spend the day with loved ones.

Jaehyuk broke the silence because he started to get bored after all that traffic. "So turns out today you're finally going to meet my Uncle Teddy."

Taekyung could tell that Jaehyuk was bored so he put his phone away. "Is he nice?"

Jaehyuk tilted his head and hissed, "He's polite at least. When I was 13 and Christian was 16, we walked in on him and Auntie Hana kissing. She got really flustered and he told us to leave the room while laughing embarrassed... That was the last time I saw him smiling."

Taekyung felt bad. "What happened to them?"

Jaehyuk sighed and let his head hit his seat, "Auntie Hana found out he was having an affair with his assistant not long after."

Taekyung widened his eyes and turned his head to Jaehyuk completely shocked. "Why is she still married to him then?!"

"They decided to stay together because at the time Jay was having a drinking problem and they didn't want to make things worse for him." Jaehyuk said as the traffic began to lighten up.

Taekyung's mouth was open because he was so mad and confused. "But that was so long ago! Why is she still with him even now?"

"I think she just stopped caring. They sleep in separate rooms, don't speak to each other, do as they please, but just live in the same place." Jaehyuk said not even understanding himself.

Taekyung took a glance at Jaehyuk's face. It was obvious that Jaehyuk wished his Auntie better than the shitty luck she's had so far.

Taekyung shook his head and just decided to change the subject for Jaehyuk.

"So you and Christian were friends when you were younger?" Taekyung asked smiling.

Jaehyuk nodded his head. "One day he just kind of... didn't want to talk to me anymore I guess."

Taekyung nodded his head a bit overwhelmed with all of the drama and sad events that involved this family.

Jaehyuk changed the subject realizing he's never really asked about Taekyung's family. "So who does your family include?"

Taekyung thought for a moment and smiled at the memories and familiarity. "There's my mom, obviously, my grandma, but she died a few months before I moved here, which is really sad because she was a big part in raising me, my three cousins, and their parents and... that's about it."

Jaehyuk bit his lip, debating with himself whether or not he should ask Taekyung the question that he wanted to ask him. "Hey, Taekyung?"

"Hmm?" Taekyung replied looking out the window.

"W-... Where's your dad?" Jaehyuk asked suddenly really scared that he was offending Taekyung.

Taekyung looked over at his boyfriend calmly and confused. "Have I never told you?"

"No." Jaehyuk replied a little more relaxed.

"I don't have one. When my mom was 23 she decided she really wanted to have a kid but only on her own. She didn't want to be with anyone at the time, so she got a sperm donor and later on had me!" Taekyung said making a flower with his head and hands cheerfully.

Jaehyuk didn't know if that was a sad or happy thing. "I'm... sorry?"

Taekyung laughed, "Don't be sorry. I've never really cared for having a dad. For a long, long time, it's only been me and my mom. It was fun, and I'd be lying if I said I don't miss it sometimes."

Jaehyuk pouted, "But you like life with me, here more, right?"

Taekyung giggled and kissed Jaehyuk's hand gently. "Yes, Jaehyukie. Life with you will always be better than anything else."

Jaehyukie was taken aback by Taekyung's sudden cute and loving gesture. He couldn't handle it.

"Ah!" Taekyung suddenly yelped when Jaehyuk made a sudden sharp turn and pulled over when they were literally about a block away from Hana's place.

Taekyung turned to Jaehyuk as he put the car on park. "Whatthehellyouliterallyalmostkilledme-"

Taekyung widened his eyes when Jaehyuk pulled him into a long sweet kiss.

Jaehyuk pulled away smiling, completely satisfied, while Taekyung was blushing madly.

Jaehyuk pulled Taekyung in again, this time just to kiss his forehead smiling deeply in love.

It was hard for Taekyung to look his boyfriend in the eye because of the adorable, loving faces he was making.

Jaehyuk brushed the hair behind Taekyung's ears smiling at him. "I'll never stop loving you, baby."

Taekyung's face instantly got redder and he looked at his hands awkwardly. "Me too, Jaehyukie."

Jaehyuk put his thumb on Taekyung's chin, making him look up. Jungkook booped his boyfriend's nose twice and winked at him before getting back on the road again.

Once Taehyung's heart calmed down, he playfully rolled his eyes and Jungkook and giggled, "You just had to do that?"

Jungkook nodded laughing.
