The 5th OutCast

QuickShot:

"Three shots are all I would need to level this city," Silent told me. "The energy cannon. I can't let him get a shot off."

Pulling back the bowstring, I let go and fire a bunch of arrows. The arrows hit the cannon over and over, causing Silent to miss.

"OutCasts," I yell, stopping a little to catch my breath. "Onward."

Wiping my forehead, I reach for more arrows and fire them at Silent. I hit Silent with a volley of trick arrows. Slime arrows burst and covered him in green slime. Explosive arrows land all over and engulf him in thick black smoke. Net arrows wrapped around Silent and weight him to the ground.

"He's down," I shout, dropping to a knee. "Attack him. Hit him before he had a chance to fight back."

SpeedBlade:

"I understand," I yell. Running toward Silent as he tries to rise his arm, I myself try to cut off his metal arm. However, as I swing my sword, it bounces off his metal arm. "Ahh, I hate technology."

There isn't even a scratch on the metal arm, and because of my failed attack, Silent rises his giant arm and swings it. Hitting me, I find myself flying through the air before falling back onto the street.

Shaking my head to regain my sense, I pick up my sword and charge back toward Silent.

"Incoming," Ms. Justice screams, she and JumpStart running toward Silent. Still pinned to the ground, Silent prepares to use those mini-rockets from before. His shoulder opens and the same large box moves up.

Justice and JumpStare are too far to do anything against the large box. Instead, I jump into the air and once more, swing my sword.

Screaming as I swing, I slice the box right off Silent's shoulder. Hearing Silent screams as the box falls onto the ground, I skid to a stop near the two.

"Thanks for that," Justice says after bumping my arm.

"No need for thanks," I say, rising my sword. "I was looking for a weak point and found it."

Silent:

"The OutCasts are troublesome," Dr. Cho grunts with glowing eyes. "Why didn't your pathetic men destroy them? Unstoppable. Nitro. Burning Ice. All of your men are pathetic! And so are you!"

"And yet," I say, my hand still deep within the Iron Fist Armor. "I'm not the one controlling the armor."

Despite Dr. Cho's eyes staying the same blueish-green, I can see them turning red.

"Pathetic," she shouts again. "All of you are pathetic! Machines are superior! Machines are better than humans! Machines are--"

Before Dr. Cho can finish her ranting, I pull out some more wires and her ugly face vanishes.

"Finally," I say, "She shut up."

With Dr. Cho now gone, I reach into my pocket and pull out some small bombs. Activating them, I then throw each and every one of them into the open panel. Looking around, I see the cover I pulled off and grab it. I put the cover back on and slam my shoulder against it.

"A broken shoulder follows by smoke inhalation," I think. "Yeah, this is going to be painful few minutes."

Ms. Justice:

Raising my shield high into the air, I bring it down and slam the doorknob off. Grabbing and swinging the door open, the first thing to greet me is a wave of thick smoke. I have to step back for a second to catch my breath.

Grabbing my shirt collar, I hold it over my nose and enter the half-destroyed building. Running up the emergency stairs, I scream and check every floor to make sure they're clear.

"Hello," I shout, grabbing and opening a door. The whole floor is a mess. There are desks and chairs thrown everywhere. Also, since there's a small fire from the hole in the wall, the sprinkles are on and everything is soaking wet.

"Hello," I shout again, "Is there anyone in here? Can you hear me?"

At first, there isn't a sound. I'm about to leave to check the other floors when I hear something.

"Help," a voice shakily sounds. "Help me."

Looking back, I turn and run into the floor. Jumping over a fallen filing cabinet and sliding across a desk with a broken leg, I come to a stop when I see a young man bury under some debris.

"Help me," he says weakly, struggling to pull the debris off himself.

"Here," I say, dropping to a knee. "I can help. Watch out."

Grabbing and throwing most of the debris to the side, I uncover the main problem. It's a part of the wall. It's pinning the man's foot, making him stuck. Even without touching it, I know from its size it's too heavy for me to lift by myself. I have to think of something else. Remembering the shield I have on my arm, I get an idea.

"Watch out," I say, "Again."

Slamming my shield between the floor and the piece of the wall, I push against it.

"Pull your foot out," I say, "Hurry."

As soon as the young man pulls out his foot, I step back and watch as the wall falls back down.

"Are you okay," I say, offering the man a hand. "Can you walk?"

"I'm fine," the man says, taking my hand. I pull him up and he thanks me.

"Get out of here," I say, pointing toward the exit stairs.

He nods his head and runs. Watching as he reaches the stairs and disappears, I look around for any more trapped people. As far as I can tell, this floor is empty. About to run to the stairs and check on some more, I hear an explosion coming from the outside.

"QuickShot," I yell, running to the hole in the wall. "SpeedBlade. JumpStart. What happened?"

I don't know what I was expecting, but what I see is very confusing. My friends are all standing at least six feet from Silent, but for some reason, Silent is smoking.

JumpStart:

"Did I do that," I ask, "Or did you?"

I point at QuickShot with my stun batons.

"We didn't do anything," QuickShot answers. She shows me her bow with an arrow still in it. "What's going on?"

"I do not know," SpeedBlade says, "But whatever is happening, it's given us an opening. The smoke is blinding Silent. Charge!"

SpeedBlade then runs toward the giant robot. He ducks under a wild swing and thrust his sword upward. QuickShot and I watch as SpeedBlade hits Silent right in his big metal head.

"No way," I say, watching with my own eyes as one of the eyes on Silent's robotic head comes flying off.

"SpeedBlade is right," QuickShot says, shooting an arrow. Her arrow hits Silent in his elbow, the arrow getting stuck, and causing the arm to get stuck itself. "JumpStart, quick! You see that giant blaster on the right arm. You need to disable it before it can charge again!"

"On it," I say with a nod of my head. Doing the same as SpeedBlade, I run toward Silent as he keeps on smoking and spinning. Waiting for the right moment, I jump and land on the right arm. Raising my stun baton, I stab the weird-looking blaster and turn it on. Electricity pours out and the blaster starts to shake and lights up.

It doesn't take long before the blaster itself starts to smoke as well. Taking my baton back, I jump off and land on my feet. Looking back, I see the blaster breaks right off.

Dr. Cho:

"No, no, no," I say, slamming my hands down over and over. "The energy cannon! They destroyed it! And what did Silent do? Why is the inside smoking?"

No matter what I do, I can't seem to see the inside of the Iron Fist armor. Silent must have finally pulled the right wires.

"That idiot," I say, slamming my hand down again. "No matter. I control the Iron Fist Armor. It is mine, and I still have a few targets to destroy."

Using my power, I order the Iron Fist Armor to eject the pathetic pilot. I can only imagine the fool's face as the body opens up and kicks him out.

"Enjoy being an outcast among the OutCasts," I say.
