It also made him realize many things, such as why the Crimson Mage Tower could be built so quickly, and why he could make the president of the Alex Chamber of Commerce and Duke Storm's apprentice, Winnie, treat him kindly.

The reason for all this was that he had a powerful master, one who was about to break through to the Transcendent realm.
