Chapter 25

Ow, her back was in pain, her hair disheveled and her arms they felt numb. It felt like it was years since she got up. Fluttering her long lashes, she looks around. The place had felt unfamiliar when suddenly-

(Footsteps running)

"Your majesty,...She woke up!!" A young maid called out in the hallway.

'..What had happened?'

Her young curls were gone and her arms and legs felt long and slender at the blankets that covered her. It felt like she had awoken from a dream.

"Where am I??...her voice sounded husky and dry..." How long was she asleep?

A man walked into her room, an overwhelming presence it was and familiarity lingered in her skin. Icarus. She was sure it was him. Tears welled up in her eyes at the sight of Icarus. He had grown up into a fine young man and he was breathtakingly seductive just by standing. Did she leaped through time again?

"...Icarus? What happened?" She asks furrowing her eyebrows in confusion. But she had gain relief in the sight of Icarus.

Icarus, disheartened at her sight, sat beside her and embraced her. They stayed this way for a moment, and Ophelia inhaled the calming scent Icarus had given.

"Look here..." Breaking free from their embrace. Icarus showed the scar he had on his chest. The scar had symbolized a contract was made by a light mage, it was the same scar with Roselia. Who did Icarus made a contract with?

Suddenly a masked man appeared by her door. It was the same mask she had always seen and pondered. Duke? Slowly, approaching the bed-ridden Ophelia. The mask was finally removed by the hands of its bearer, revealed the grown-up man who was a year older than his half-brother.

"Duke?"

Upon hearing the words escape from her mouth, Damen's expression turned sad and slightly awkward. Ophelia couldn't see his features clearly and had assumed it was the Duke.

"It is I, Damen, my lady" He tilts down his head to introduce.

Her head had throb in pain and she needed time to cope with her new situation.

"Ophelia, I can explain everything for you..." Icarus began but was cut off abruptly

"Can you give me a moment?" She looks up to meet his amethyst eyes. Ophelia couldn't deny it now. There was certainly a calming aura between them. A connection that bonded them as if to keep things in balance. She felt that Icarus was her other half as she glanced down on the same ring Roselia used to wear.

The two noble lads left for the door and a maid came in to assist Ophelia. Cleansing her emotions, she took a long bath and had only noticed how her body had changed. She looked 18 or 19? How many years had passed? Her hair had grown a darker shade of chocolate and was longer than she thought it would be. Her curls were mostly gone but her blue eyes remained beautiful. Her bosom had fully enlarged and her hips were delicate and soft at her touch. Not only that, she also felt extremely powerful as if something had awakened in her.

'…I'm finally myself…'
