Chapter 04 : Let’s go on a set up party (?)
It's been already 2 months since our class started..
Me, Gyeong, Ye-jun, Min Ae-ri and Jung Ryung became like a mini gang. I feel really comfortable with them.
Min Ae-ri's cute and soft nature, Gyeong's mature attitude, Ye-jun's serious in front of others and become silly in front of his girl behavior -everything is really refreshing. Even Jung Ryung's show off seems cute to us now. Ye-jun time to time roast him because of this, it's really fun to hangout with them.
But these classes!! All of us become like corpses during class. Lab, assignment, class tests seriously at this point we all kinda regret taking this subject------
After the lab class, I was talking to Ye-jun about our class, Gyeong was doing something on her phone, Min Ae-ri was zipping her bag, we were really tired and were planning to head straight home, when Jung Ryung put his hand on Ye-jun's shoulder and said,
- "Cheer up~ Today I'm going to treat you guys ,I've a good news to share"
The shine on his face was brighter than the sun itself, he was looking really proud and we all knew he was gonna brag about something.
"Wow!! A good news? What is it?" -Min Ae-ri said it with excited, sparkling eyes.
Me, Geyong and Ye-jun looked at her with a pitiful look, thinking- [She sure is naive!]
Jung Ryung then continued,
"You guys remember the sunbae-nim noona we met last month, when Jihoon sunbae-nim treated us at the bbq place? The one from the English department?"
Actually 7/8 of us kinda forced Jihoon sunbae-nim to treat us with something good. For no reason.
We met him when we were heading back after class, we were hungry and so we demanded a treat as hoobaes. And Jihoon sunbae-nim agreed______Sunbae-nim is too good for this world. There we met some of his friends and that noona was one of them.
- "The pretty noona from English department?" (Ye-jun)
- "Yes~"
Gyeong glared at Ye-jun. Ye-jun panicked, "What!She was pretty? Why are you looking at me like that?"
"I've been talking to noona on online after that. Yesterday I told her that I like her and now we are officially going out."- Jung Ryung said with a really happy and proud face. He was blushing---
Min Ae-ri grabbed Jung Rung's hand, "AHHHH~ WoW~ really? Congratulation Jung Ryung~"
- "Thank you~"
- "So that's why you didn't hangout with us
yesterday...." (Ye-jun)
"But weren't you dumped by a girl from another college recently? You were crying like a kid.You said you are never gonna date anyone ever again"–I said with a confused and doubtful face.
Gyeong narrowed her eyes, "I was thinking the same...."
Gyeong and me looked at each other , Min Ae-ri and Ye-jun looked at us and then the four of us looked at Ye-jun.
Ye-jun sweated-----

[We came to eat anyway... Never say no to free food]
"Why would you guys bring her up? I was so heart broken when she dumped me. You guys are so cruel~" - Jung Ryung whimpered.
I was kinda feeling guilty, so I said- "Ah~ give it break..We already said sorry."
- "It was real love!!" (Jung Ryung)
Ye-jun mockingly said, "How many times did you fall in love till now?"
Jung Ryung frowned and they were about to fight when Min Ae-ri said, "Yeee~ the food is here~"
- "Come on let's eat.. Are you two kids? Tch- ", I laughed at them, then we all started eating.
We ate a lot. One round of Ye-jun roasting Jung Ryung session happened , they started fighting and as usual Gyeong stopped them. Min Ae-ri and me always enjoy this little show.

After that we were going back home, Ye-jun took drunk Gyeong which was pretty normal, me and Min Ae-ri was heading to the same way. and Jung Ryung's home was at opposite direction to us.
When me and Min Ae-ri was walking to bus stop, she said something that had me shook.
- "Jin-ae let's go on set up party."
What in the world---- "What are saying?"
- "Why? Is it weird? Ye-jun and Gyeong are dating, Jung Ryung got a girlfriend, only the two of us are single."
So all this time, Min Ae-ri was thinking this? Min Ae-ri is a very shy girl, I didn't think she would be interested in something like this.
-"But why a set up party?"
It's not like no one likes Min Ae-ri. Someone from another dept. confessed to her last week and also Young-jae, a guy from our class likes her, we all can see that. I looked at Min Ae-ri for an answer.
- "Um.. Actually I know Young-jae from our class likes me, but I don't see him more than as a friend. I'm not specially interested in anyone from our varsity. My friend Bo-ra asked me to go on a set up party with her few days ago. I was not sure before (she hesitated a little) but I'm not really confident in myself. I want to be more like Gyeong, a confident girl. So I want to meet new people. If I find someone there then it would be really nice. But even if I don't find anyone, I would be at least able to talk to new people and become a lil' more confident in myself" , saying this Min Ae-ri looked at me.
I knew she was a shy girl, but I never knew all this time she was thinking something so similar to mine. I also feel anxious talking to new people, I can't talk properly when too many people look at me at the same time. I fear to be judged by people. I lost my self confidence a year ago.
- "My friend Bo-ra has a friend in Seoul University, he told her that he will bring some of his friends and it will be his treat. He asked her to bring her friends too." - she looked at me with eyes full of
expectations .
-Will you go with me Jin-ae..? If you come I will be really happy...Please~?"
- "Okay."
