CHAPTER 123

OPHELIA'S POV

"I'd rather eat my own hand than be your fucking family."

I couldn't believe I had said that out loud. I looked around and saw him staring at me. I took in a sharp breath and moved a step back, as he began to walk toward me.

Xavier immediately step in front of me, before Luco could get to me. My hand was safely placed on the gun that hung from my waist.

"Did you say something dear?"

I tried to give him one of sweetest smiles but I'm sure it didn't matter, because it came out weak. I shook my head as I remembered the question that hung in the room.

I saw Alexander walk out from the shadows, this time more armed than before. He walked right into Xavier and took him away from me, so that Alexander could get a better access to me.

I heard Xavier struggle against Alexander, but the sound of it soon got covered by Luco's nearing footsteps and my heart beating loudly against my chest.
