Chapter 47 - No soup

"Come on Aphro let's go," Artemis walked slowly and got into the chariot behind her. Taking one last glance at the human, she soared back into the sky to her home, the red planet.

Noticing a weird occurrence in the sky, Clive sat up. 'Are my eyes deceiving me? Or is that....' he was sure that he saw a chariot fly out of his mansion. As to who was in it or why they were here in the first place was a complete mystery.

He threw Reya a thought glance. 'She had said that she knew this Goddess...emm what was her name again...ah Artemis! Reya even had her blood. Does she know them personally? Is that the reason for her gifts?' he wondered.

"Cli--ve I'm done....next...what," Reya panted and sat on the empty chair opposite him. Taking a bite of the nearby pastry, she moaned softly. "Blissful indeed," she mumbled with her mouthful of tart.

"Reya, mind if I ask you this, but...what is your relationship with this subject named Artemis?" he whispered whilst crunching on a nugget.

"Nothing much. I helped her out when she was in a pinch, and now she has paid me back with the info about the test." Reya said without looking up from her plate.

"What kind of help? Why would a presumed Goddess need a....mortals help?" Clive whispered with a baffled look.

Reya finally gazed at him. He had a thoughtful look on his face  so dazed that his glasses were slipping off of his nose. "She was hurt I bandaged her," she whispered without any thought.

Clive on the other hand gasped. 'The blood, that's how she got it! good job holding onto it,' he thought as he glanced at his pupil proudly.

Ryan's eyebrows twitched from just the unblinking stare he was giving her. his beard covered almost all his face and his hair flopped on his forehead, only revealing his shiny eyes. "Okay.....that's creepy. let's agree that you never, ever stare at me like that. I felt like a lab rat under a microscope," she whispered.

"You are indeed one of my subjects," he whispered and adjusted his glasses.

"What!" Reya shot up and glared at him. "ah man, why are saying stuff like that. it really gives me goosebumps," she stretched her hand out and showed him the goose pimples.

Clive chuckled and plucked a few of her arm hair. "Thank you for proving more testing same,"

"you...you.. I hate you," she shouted but the young scientist waved at her without looking back.

"Likewise darling, so run," Clive shouted.

Reya bit the inside of her cheeks to hold back the cusses. this was the third day that Clive was training her. and the fact was....it was a torture. the first day went by quick due to exhaustion. but the next day the devil he is, Clive increased her run from 4 to 10. she softly panted and ran around.

But the benefit was that she had brought her breathing under her control and her muscles were not aching that much.

The real torture was drinking the bone soup. That....thing was so disgusting that her poor guy could not handle it all.

Just thinking about that atrocious thing, she gagged. "I want pizzaa~" she cried and slowed down.

"Reya, you can do it!" Mina shouted from the first-floor balcony. She was holding a small towel with the words 'Reya Rocks' on it.

it was her sister's encouragement that brought her this far. "Yes my princess. I will definitely save you from the dragon," Reya shouted and sped up.

Mina giggled. "Reya you silly snail," she shouted.

After her morning run, Lucas brought over a cup of orange juice and some biscuits. "Lucas, you are a lifesaver," she said and ate the scrumptious biscuits.

"I'm happy that you like it, young lady," he said with a bow.

"Reya," she corrected him with a smile.

"How was your morning? Is there any help you need?" she says, wiping her sweat with a clean towel.

"I need no help dear, I have made casserole and some pastries for you," he secretly said abs walked away.

Reya giggled. "Looks like I don't have to drink that dreadful soup," she laughed and rushed after the butler.
