Chapter 49 - July The Robot

With all that water training.....she almost became an aquatic being after her gruesome training in the water tank. It did help increase her powers exponentially. even in dry land she was able to control her speed well.

After which a new kind of training began. the genius Clive invented a karate robot, for goodnes's sake.  with each bout the robot named July, analysed her movements and improved itself. Even with her speed, it was harder and harder to defeat it.

"You chub, get up and attack him again." Clive shouted via a microphone. He was sitting in just a foot away, protected in his bulletproof room.

"Hey...let me stretch my muscles," she whimpered, holding her aching waist. just that day she was tossed about almost twenty times.

"Break over, start the bout in three...two.. "

"Wait, you bloody bastar...." Reya held up her hand in surrender.

"One.... July attack." Clive whispered. his voice echoed and the robot jumped rapidly towards her.

"Shit," Reya jumped to the side, dodging the attack by inches. Just then, the robot which jumped passed her, knelt down and kicked her feet.

Reya lost her balance and tripped. But soon she gained control of her body and twirled around on the floor. accelerating her leg, she kicked July's robotic legs. it shattered upon impact, but the robot still insistently fought her.

"Clive, your shitty robot won't stop," She shouted to the person who was calmly sipping his tea behind his glass walls.

Clive threw her a casual glance. "She is programmed to do so. Fight her until she is in pieces," he said in a monotonously.

Reya bit the insides of her cheek and glared at him. "Isnt she your precious," she dodged a punch, "Invention. why do you...  want to destroy her." the robot kicked her midriff. Reya did not dodge this time. she accelerated her knees and side kicked it.

July's left hand shattered upon impact. its parts flying around.

Sighing, Reya finally squatted on the floor. the robot in front of her twitched and trembled before finally loosing its life. "Its dead," she shouted.

Clive calmly walked out and collected the pieces one by one. "July is not a living thing Reya. she does not die,"

Reya rolled her eyes and helped him collect all the parts. "your gonna rebuild her?" in her heart she kept chanting, 'Please say no. please say no,'

"I'm gonna rebuild 'It,'" Clive corrected her with a small smile.

Dejected Reya sighed. "I hope it takes long to build," she mumbled softly.

"What did you say?"

"Nothing," she chuckled awkwardly. "So what's for dinner?" she changed the topic.

Clive glanced at her with his eyebrows raised. "I know you worry for July. she will be ready in two hours," he said, collecting the bag with all the pieces.

"Darn," Reya mumbled.

With a loud laugh, Clive left the training hall. Lucas stood outside with a tray of food. "Master food is here. Miss Reya would be famished," he said with a soft smile.

"Dont tell her yet. she just finished her training. she has yet to do her coll down exercises." Clive warned and led him to his own study.

Lucas placed the food bowls carefully on the table and covered it so that it retained its heat. "Little Clive, dont starve her too much. let her eat on time," he whispered.

Before he could answer, his brother Mark and Reya's mother jade walked in, hand in hand.

Clive peered at them. "Are you guys a pair now?"

the pair blushed hard and Mark nodded.

Clive shrugged and went back to rebuilding the robot. Then suddenly his busy hands paused. "Wait...if you guys are together...am I Reya's uncle?" he whispered with his eyes wide open.

Just the thought of the possibility mortified him. "Me an...uncle? darn," he mumbled and glanced at the mirror in the corner. His bearded face and his overgrown hair was all he could see. "I do look like an uncle! Oh god, but I'm just eighteen," he mumbled and started prancing around.

Jade and Mark gazed at him with a grimace. "Is he going to be okay? because.....he might....have feelings for Reya," Jade whispered softly.

Mark grimaced more at this fact. "That's incest...is that okay though?" he mumbled.

Clive who was busy fretting about his looks did not hear their outrageous comments. "I need a haircut!" he shouted all of a sudden.

Mark nodded with his mouth agape. "He finally wants to cut his hair. Something really is wrong. He might have feelings for Reya," he whispered.
