Chapter 9

Copper's POV

What I don't comprehend is the way an individual can let you know endless falsehoods and never fell terrible about it. Xenon, you can easily be fooled by anyone. All this would not have happened if it were not because of Devera, your Mother.

I don't want to hurt you but I can't do anything. Devera never felt sorry for the people I love in my life even the angels we were under she killed mercilessly.

I went to a secluded place. Dark, quiet and scary. I rolled my eyes around to make sure no one was spying on me.

When I finally saw the whole area I immediately released my wing. My whole being is angelic and godly. I can't be compared to creatures like Xenon who looks really a monster.

"Where did you go?" the man who had just arrived at my place immediately asked me. I smiled before I faced it.

"Why are you smiling like that?" he question frowned at me. I walked closer to him then I kissed him tightly. My tears immediately flowed as I hugged it completely. They are unaware of my grief and great longing for this angel, for the angel I love the most.

We also haven't seen each other for a long time. I also haven't hugged and kissed him like this for a long time because of Devera.

"I'm glad to see you, my love." I calmly say it. It returned the hug I had given him. Its coldness is a sign that he is really a ghost of memory.

"I'm glad to see you too, dear." I heard him say. That voice I will never forget. The voice of the person I love the most. The voice that made me fall in love so much. That voice, I miss so much.

It was also a decade ago when we last saw each other. Ever since Devera came to our Angels home we have been estranged from each other by Isaiah.

Isaiah is my dearest. Isaiah is the only one I want to be with for the rest of my life. Just Isaiah but because Devera took over and destroyed everything in our area Isaiah disappeared.

It's all in the past now, it's all in my memories. Only its soul is here.

I saw Isaiah slowly disappear from my arms as I hugged him. My tears flowed at the loss of it.

I want to shout. I want to get lost. I want to be angry. All the people I love are consumed by Devera.

That monster devoured all the angels in our realm. I am the only one who survived because of Father.

Xenon, daughter of Devera. I'll make sure she will get hurt too. I will make sure Tan loses him.

I will make sure that those two are separated and at least sometimes not together like the two of us and Isaiah.

Wait for my reward. Wait for the reward of an angel named Copper. They will all pay for what caused me to be alone, for what they'd done.

I went to a stream to cool off. I sat there and closed my eyes for a moment to feel the breeze I had long desired.

"I wasn't wrong." I heard in the distance. I was suddenly stunned when I heard that voice, a signal that I was not the only person in the stream today.

I searched for where that voice came from but I could not even see its shadow completely. Is that true or is it just me?

"Copper." it said then appeared in front of me causing me to shout very loudly and spew it out.

She was sitting on one side but she was just smiling so I just frowned at her. Who is she? What does she need from me?

"The last angel." pronounce it to me.

My eyes just widened when it suddenly changed its position from its previous position. It moves fast, super fast.

"Who are you?!" I shout. It stopped in front of me and approached me.

"Xanthan, Xenon's sister." How did Xenon have a sibling?

"How can you prove your sister is Xenon?" I ask her.

"I'm Devera's child and here's my mark." it said to me then it showed its mark on its arm.

I didn't know Xenon had a mark like that but it might be telling the truth. There is no reason for it to lie to me.

"I'm going to ask you now, what are you up to with Xenon?" its intriguing question. Why is she interested? What is its hidden agenda in my plan?

I just didn't answer her.

"If that's your plan. Make it fast." she said with a smirk on her lips.

"Why?" I ask her.

"As Xenon's power grows, you won't realize later that it will kill you." she said to me.

What does it really want to happen?

"Why are you saying that, aren't you sisters?" I asked her.

"She was just adopted by my Mother." she said. Does that mean Devera isn't her mother?

"Ops! I'm too talkative to you and I've been able to give you information I shouldn't need to give."

"What did you say? She was just adopted?" I asked again.

"Yes. That Princess shouldn't be found by everyone so if I were you I would kill her sooner ---" she just stopped speaking when I suddenly stabbed her in the stomach.

"In that case, that only means one thing. Xenon isn't Devera's daughter." I said to it as I watched her making her own blood burst out outside of her mouth.

"You made a mistake, Copper!" she said angrily then shouted very loudly.

She removed what was I placed on her body then she moved away from me.

"Do you think you can just knock me down? I'm Devera's real child so I'm one of the most powerful creatures." she yielded at me then it spun around to change her form.

Her appearance now looks like a demon burning all over its body.

It quickly rushed to where I was and then stabbed me with a sharp crystal made of its blazing fire.

At first I did not respond to every stroke but later I began to feel pain and weakness.

Is this my end?

"Any last words?" she asked me while holding a crystal shaped moon.

I was just shocked and she when suddenly crystal bubbles from above hit her.

"Xanthan! Who told you, you can touch my love ?!" she said angrily to her sister, Xanthan.

Xanthan immediately released me to avoid being stoned by Xenon in our direction.

"I own this place, Xanthan. You have to leave my territory before I forget we are sisters." she said to her.

Xanthan stared at me wickedly as if she wanted to kill me.

"We're not done yet." she said then disappeared in front of us.

Xenon came down from above and then it approached me.

"You can't keep everything from me, Copper." it starts as it gets closer and closer.

Did it know that I wanted to kill her? That I longed for its death?

As it slowly approached me my heartbeat quickened. Signs that I am afraid of Xenon.

"You can never hide everything from me, Copper." She told me when she get closer.

"What are you going to do? You're going to kill me too?" I asked her. She didn't say a word but she touched me and then turned a blind eye.

Gradually my scars healed and I regained my strength because of what Xenon did.

It is indeed capable and powerful.

"You can't deny that you're Isaiah's girlfriend." she said. How did she know?

She smiled at me.

"Isaiah loves you so much that he asked me for help."

"How ---" I was just surprised when Isaiah came out of the darkness with a sweet smile on his lips.

"Xenon ..." I mentioned his name.

"I know." she said.

"Reverse magic is what I used on him. I could use that as well but it's not yet the right time for that." she said.

I was in tears because of what it said. How did I think to do that to her? I know Xenon's temperament is bad and scary but I don't know its kindness to a creature like me.

"Xenon ..."

"I knew when I first met you, Copper. By the time you get my attention I already knew. You're not just an ordinary creature. You're just inside the body of that ordinary creature." she said.

I can't explain how I feel right now. She smiled at me after she said those words.

"Copper." said Isaiah.

I quickly ran in its direction then hugged him tightly as the water slowly flowed from my eyes.
