A storm is coming

"Done. I am ready to go. Whatever challenge I have to face, I hope it will end well" Yuki is on her way to their school after Sato called her. She is feeling anxious about the tone of Sato's voice over the phone.

I finally reached the premises of our school. Everything seems to be in great shape. Or so I thought. I saw Sato running away from the school cafeteria with Aiya.

"Sato! What's going on?" - "Yuki, hey, you better come with us! Quick! I have something to show you!" So, I assume it's gonna be about the great convergence. What could be this time? An evil professor trying to kill everyone because he's a serial killer on the other side? It's possible but, let's hope it's not.

We approached the park behind the main school building and I cannot unsee this.

"W-what's that?" - "We don't know. I am pretty sure that thing wasn't there yesterday" Sato's voice is clearly shaking. He is really nervous about this. He is thinking this might be a threat.

What we saw, is a weird-looking monument. I can say it's weird because it's glitching. We all know that the school doesn't have this kind of monument. It's like a sharp-edged pillar and blooming flowers around it. I have to admit, it's quite nice to look at but the question is, how? I mean, is this even possible that an inanimate object just pops out of nowhere? Pretty sure it's possible but I don't know why.

Students keep on taking pictures of the monument. They are pretty calm about it. What I mean, why do most of them, don't know about the monument? I am sure that some of the students have different memories and remember this monument in their universe. "Well, in this case, neither of your reality has this kind of monument. I, myself is also confused with what's happening" Even Yoh is uncertain about this. Then, what else can I do? Even the "god" that is guiding me, us, doesn't have an idea about this.

"Hey Sato, what do you think about the monument? Are you scared about its existence here in our world?" - "Of course, yes! I am really terrified. I mean, I have this strange vibe going on. This monument gives me chills and that chills hints me about a great storm. I don't know why I thought of that but, I am pretty sure about this. That's why I called and visit the area. You might have an idea about this or it could give you hints" Ok Sato. Did he just mention about a storm coming? How could he foresee such events? Well, he's my friend and I have to trust him about his conclusions from his strange feelings.

I drew the attention of the students to go back to their respective classes. Well, of course, I am a nobody in this school so no one ever listened until there's a strange man approached the monument and make an announcement.

"Hello everyone! I am professor Kato. I know this may sound really weird but, leave the monument for now. I ask everyone to go back to your respective classes. If you're in your free time, please leave the area for now" Woah! Professor Kato! I always admire his speech skills.

"Yuki, I need to talk to you. Come with me" Professor is on to something and why me? "Can I bring my friends with me?" - "Yes, sure!"

We head to the science laboratory and we were greeted by other science-major professors. What do they want?

"Yuki, we noticed you for some time that you are not affected by the transition of this great convergence. We researched this strange phenomenon and the two parallel universes may have a chance to merge as one new universe" - "Yes, you're right about that sir. I can also hear someone through these tough times. He has a masculine voice and he's always there to guide" I can feel Kiara's sticky eyes. She's spectating me again.

"You say, there's someone who can contact you through your thoughts?" Another professor asked. - "Yes sir!" I respond. They seemed puzzled about the situation. Do they have something to do with this strange monument?

After a few hours of discussing what can cause about the monument, a sudden breeze of wind strikes the laboratory window. Is this the storm Sato was talking about earlier? Out of our curiosity, we head back to the lobby so that we can have a better view of what's happening. What we saw today, is mesmerizing and terrifying. A large spiraling clouds formed outside. I say it's weird that the "eye" of the storm is right in the exact position of the monument.

"Yuki, Sato, and Aiya. Get inside. This doesn't look good. Keep yourselves safe. We are done with the discussion and most of us agree that the monument was from another universe and not from our alternate universe. I know, it sounds really weird but we have this conclusion that if ever the great convergence happens, there's a mere chance of another universe will collide with ours. The convergence creates a wormhole portal and can suck some information of the universe from one place to another. It's either our universe or any other universe that has at least 12% similarities" - "What do you mean Professor Kato? This monument doesn't belong to our exact alternate reality?" I asked. - "Yes! And the worst part about that, this creates another phenomenon that can lead to severe devastation of the area. I mean, this was not meant to be here and it manages to appear here. The consequence is that, a storm. This is not our typical geological storm. The swirls of wind were not from earth. It's from space"

Woah! Hold on a second. THAT'S REALLY TERRIFYING!! The storm can lead to severe devastation? Does it mean, it's gonna be the end of the world?

"No. This will not end the world, Yuki. This will damage the earth for sure but, everyone can survive this with minimal casualties. The devastation he really meant is the affected area. The place will never look the same. It will constantly glitch because the area was not meant to be merged with ours. Keep yourself safe. Whenever you feel glitchy around you, you better move out quickly and find a spot that feels safe. You are the only one who can feel this strange sense of glitch"
