Identity

I am Geoffrey Gold. I was just an ordinary adventurer until my presence was requested by the Commander of the Japanese army.

I lived in a small village in the northern part of the world, everyone inside the village was friendly and respected each other with great care. If someone needed something, someone would happily give it to them! I was a student of the Elder Guardians, they help protect the world from dangers and disasters that can lead to the destruction of the world.

One day, however, the Elder Guardians were killed. A woman had infiltrated the building, killed all the Guardians and burned it down. I had found the only remaining one who later died.

"Listen, my boy, start an exploration shop. Protect the world from the danger that is soon to unfold." He said

"Understood, what about the Elder Guardians?" I asked

"They are now a myth, they never existed. Now you are the protector of this world!" He replied. He then died and evaporated into yellow balls.

A few weeks had passed from the event and I had built my shop and opened it for business. I had decorated it with shelves and tables to display any trophies I earn and put up posters of mythical monsters. I also had created a tapestry which held the Elder Guardian Commandments.

People came by looked at the posters and asked about what really happened to them or how did this happen, but no one ever asked for help, well almost.

I received a letter from a Japanese Commander named Akimasa Yamamoto. He had requested my help as a vital farming village was being constantly attacked by the Fire Cracker! The Fire Cracker was a deadly dragon which if it became an adult could destroy entire civilisations!

With this being my first offer to help with a problem, I happily agreed to help!

I travelled through P.B.S, a humble boat service, to get to Japan. When I had arrived at the docks, there were two men in Samurai Armour holding a sign saying 'ジェフリーゴールド' and underneath in brackets was 'Jeffry Gold'. It was close enough to my name for me to know, so I walked over.

"Hello, I'm Geoffrey Gold," I said, they looked down to me confused. They clearly didn't speak my language, I had to get out my language book and translate for them, "こんにちは,ジェフリー・ゴールドです"

They looked at me, laughed, and said "私たちと一緒に来て,あなたの輸送は準備ができています" I still had no idea what they meant so I just followed them to an ox-drawn carriage. I got inside with the two men and they started talking about something funny.

"トムがいつその川に落ちたのか覚えてる?(Remember when Tom fell in that river?)" A tall and strong one said

"ハハハッハッハ!はい,それはおかしかったです,彼は魚のように10日間精錬しました!(Hahaha! Yes, that was funny, he smelled like fish for ten days!)" They continued there conversation for the rest of the ride, I felt so awkward!

It took us probably 2 hours to arrive at the camp, there were guards and warriors all over the place. It had lookouts with bows and guards with staffs. The two men got out of the carriage and walked away. This tall, but the thin man walked in front of the door stopping me from leaving.

"日本語は話せますか?か否か?" He said I looked at him confused, "Well I guess you don't!"

"You speak English?" I asked

"Well, I had to learn since a foreign explorer was coming to our aid. I'm Eiichi, who are you?"

"Geoffrey Gold, glad to be of service!"

"Please, follow me."

He walked away from the door towards a tent, so I followed. Inside were soldiers, which were coming with me to the fight. There was one man who was stood at a board which had the plans.

"ご存じのように,活気のある農村は,致命的な火のクラッカーによって攻撃されています!獣を止めに,共有の心を取り除き,その体に地獄を解放しなければなりません!" He said

"He said: As you all know, the vital farming village is being attacked by the deadly Fire Cracker! To stop the beast you must remove the Heart of Searing and release hell onto its body!" Eiichi said to me

"あなたとジェフリーは最初の挑戦に挑戦します.続行するには,ダイヤモンドを見つけてそれらをスケールに配置する必要があります.次に,骨と同じくらい硬いスケルタルウォリアーを倒す必要があります.その後,橋が形成され,火の祭壇は最後にあるはずです.ハートを抜いてモンスターを殺せ!"

"You and Geoffrey will venture to the first challenge. You have to find diamonds and place them into the scales to proceed. You then have to defeat Skeletal Warriors which are as hard as bone, should we say. A bridge will then form and the Altar of Fire should be at the end. Remove the heart, kill the monster!"

People walked out and prepared for the journey, Eiichi was coming with me to translate for me and the warriors. We passed other villages that all had vital resources. It was a lovely place, lovely pink trees, emerald green grass, it was just beautiful.

We arrived at the gates of the mountains. The cliffside was indented for us to walk, but if we slipped or were pushed, we'd fall to our doom. We got to the first challenge

"さて何をしようか?" Someone said

"What do we do now?" Eiichi said

"Tell them to search for diamonds and place them into the scales up there." I pointed up to some stairs where a tray was.

"ダイヤモンドを検索して,そこにあるスケールに入れるように伝えます." Eiichi told them

"わかった!" They said

We all searched for several minutes trying to find diamonds. It took some time for us to find one, it was hidden under the scales for the diamonds. The doors behind it made a loud noise and then slowly opened!

We walked through and along the bridge to our next challenge. I and Eiichi were the first to step onto the floating island. We were slowly followed by the other warriors. We stood looking around to see what would happen here. We heard a click and the bridge had collapsed, the warriors who were still on there fell to there demise

"あぁぁぁぁぁぁぁぁぁぁぁぁぁぁ!" They screamed

"司令官栄一,骨格戦士!攻撃すべきか?" Someone exclaimed, Eiichi turned around and saw warriors slowly rise from the ground

"攻撃する準備をしてください!" Eiichi said drawing his sword

He ran to aid his friends, underneath me one last warrior crawled out. He was taller, stronger and powerful.

"Finally, a feast for me and my friends!" He said

"What are you?" I asked

"Sergeant Antoni Calla of the 479th Battalion," He replied, "Sadly we never made it through to the Heart, as we have melted into bones!"

"I didn't ask for your life story!" I said annoyed, but this annoyed him more causing him to slash at me.

I grabbed my sword and fought back. I blocked some of his shots and dodged others. I hit parts of bones denting them. He swiped at my shoulder, cutting it. I pushed my sword into his body breaking through his spine snapping him in two. He shined a blue glint, it slowly rises off of him. His remains turn into dust and blew away in the wind.

I saw the pedestal with the Heart of Searing inside, but before we could grab it the dragon was on its way.

It landed above us, staring down at us. We looked up at the beast, it began to create a mist.

"村に!!" A warrior shouted running towards it

"No! Don't engage!" I exclaimed, but it meant nothing. They had all ran towards it.

The gas was now so thick that we couldn't see anything. People scream and slowly get quieter, they had been knocked off the side and into the depths below.

"Geoffrey, I need to help them!" Eiichi said

"Understood my friend!" I replied

"幸運を,我が友よ!" He said and ran it the steam!

I saw this as the perfect opportunity to get the Heart. The bridge to it had crumbled and left only small islands to cross over.

I jumper to the first, the second, the third. I touched down onto the fourth, but it was crumbling. I nearly fell, but I jumped in time.

I ran up to the Heart and ripped it from the pedestal. The smoke of the dragon slowly dissolves and left the battleground empty.

I ran at the dragon and jumped above it. I sliced off its right horn and landed on its back. I stabbed inside it and gas bled out of it. It screamed in pain, making its temperature rise massively. I swiftly get off of it so it didn't burn me, I got underneath the dragon and started cutting through its stomach.

"炎を投げろ!" Someone shouts, I see arrows launched with fire on them. I run out from underneath. An explosion occurs behind me.

The dragon explodes sending acid around the island. People dissolved into nothing, but a green spirit flew around and inside Eiichi.

"Listen close, Geoffrey, you are not who you think you are, you are not Geoffrey Gold!" he said before the spirit corrupted his body, killing him

Many people had died, some had survived. I returned back home with the lovely payment of 20,000 Kren!
