(Chapter 15) Surprised From above

For the following weeks Ellehishs has been much of a blurry. Having spent training with Gersg, which had still not increased her spearmen ship at all but had made her more comfortable in using it. while on evening she would either work more at the tavern or spend it with Arnovai exploring. They haven't gone anywhere dangerous but mostly in the more crowded areas of town.

On there first outing together Ellehish had ran out of Mp, it had been on there return from the docks. Having had to hide in a alley, her heart had been racing like a war horse after a charge. During that time they had to wait for a few hours for her mp to refill up to half. Damn it tooks so long, she would have to work on that. Sadly she hadn't being have any dreams during that time period so she wasn't able to connect with her pass self.

------------------End of a four week recap-------------------------

Second of Sun Dawn Year 433 Of the Third Era

Groggily she had awoken before dawn right next to her in bed was Arnovais sleeping figure trying her best to not wake her she moved her limbs over the girl and pulled herself out of bed. Grabbing her work clothes she left the room as quite as possible.

"Yawns" Her mouth stretching a bit as it forced it's way from inside her. The solf sound of cracking as her hands stretched above her head. Today she had promised to go Hunting with Alawion. She was surprised when Gersg had told her to go with his mother, muttering that she was being stingy about buying meat. instead wanting to hunt it herself.

"Finally wake, I feared id have to go wake you myself" Teased Alawion who was currently fixing a quiver of arrows on her back. If Ellehish didn't know any better she would say that the arrows seemed to be made of bone and the bow definitely was. It looked like it was made with antlers of some kind of creature.

"Well don't just stand there staring and grab that and get changed." Alawion was pointing behind her with her thumb at a set of clothes resting on the table with a bow and quiver. Moving towards the stack she grabbed it and was about to head back to her room when she was pointed to use the trap door room as it would be faster and she wouldn't wake poor Arnovai.

She headed down and began to change into some furr armor with leather gauntlets and boots. As she grabbed the bow, she noticed it was shorter then the one she saw on Alawions back. It seemed to be made from a large tusk. Maybe it was from a horker if she had to guess. As she climbed back up and closed the hatch Alawion had tossed her a bag. Fumbling a bit before finally catching it.

"There's some light breakfast, Try to stay close once we get out there. Step where I stepped" She said as they both made their way out of the sleepy tavern. As they stepped out and greeted the early morning in to Ellehishs noticed a symbol of a diamond with to circle connected over it on the side of a pillar, that made a part of the tavern.

"I ...Um... I've never actually used a bow before...." A bit embarrassed Ellehish said once they were outside. They sight of morning folk set up there stalls while other where heading towards the docks with rod in hand. The look of tired Guards patrolling they streets, who's eyes landed on her for a moment before moving up towards Alawion. Who simply nodded towards them. They yawned as the turned there looks away and continued on there way.

"Really... I had thought..... well no need to worry you will learn today. If anything I'd recommend asking Arnovai if I'm not available. The lass has been learning from me the past few weeks. And has become a decent shot." Alawion replied as her eyes looked Ellehish up and down before staring at her ears for some reason.

Ellehish had made sure to turn off the crown while in her room as to make sure she had mp and not have another accident like before. It had surprised her how cost efficient it was with mp usage for illusion. She doubted she would have been able to keep it up as long if it had to be her.

As they walked in silence towards the gates the crisp morning air flowed across her face and gently forced strands of hair up into the air. It was a refreshing feeling, Though a bit chilly but no where as cold as it was when she had first arrived in tamriel.

Soon enough that made there way past the gate, Standing behind Alawion. They followed the road down for a bit before turning and heading into the woods. And for a few minutes they walked ever deeper into the mountain Forrest.

Motioning with her hands Ellehish moved closer to Alawion who was crouching down and looking at something in the dirt. "Tell me do you have any idea what these are" She said while pointing to a set of prints. Moving closer Ellehish leaned in and traced it with her fingers.

It had two points for prints that were flat. "Hmmm.....Maybe deer" She replied unsure.

"That's right, there deer and from the look of it, it appears to be a small group of them. I'd say no more then four." Alawion said while looking around them. " No signs of other types of tracks so I'd say we might not have much to worry about. However always remember that to listen to nature." And Ellehish did just that. The sounds of bird songs while the rare movement of tree branches above them. Looking she saw squirrels moving from branch to branch.

It was almost calming for her, but a gentle tap on her shoulder grabbed her attention. Both moved to follow the tracks up wind. The faint sent of deer reaching her noise.

"What we hunt we eat, we do not hunt for sport." with a stern voice Alawion said while keeping her eyes alert as they walked. Suddenly she stopped and motioned as she crouched down and began to sneak. Ellehish trying her best to move in her steps as to not cause sound. Soon they reached a large boulder and as they climbed it and moved up slowly they say them. A group of deer, 3 female and one male. They were grazing while the male stood on watch.

"We are down wind of them so they won't smell us coming" Alawion whispered as she drew her bow and positioned hers. Mimicking her movement Ellehishs did the same but noticed a ever growing frown on her teachers face. "Move your grip up a bit more, relax your shoulders and breath slowly. Don't hold your breath." She corrected her. Pointing down towards the buck she waited for Ellehish.

Slowly her hand made it's way to her quiver and pulled out a bone arrow, it's tip seemingly made of a fang. As she placed it onto her bow again she was correct and told step by step what to do. And as she drew back and released the arrow it zoomed past the buck by a wide berth and struck into the ground. Spooked the deer began to run away.

"Come on don't just stand their!" Alawions voice shouted as she sprange into motion and ran after them. A bit surprised Ellehishs took a moment before following behind her. her heighten sense barley managing to help her keep up. The herd has spilt in two. Still she followed her teacher. Rushing passed Large trees and over stones they followed them towards a cliff side. Alawion Pulling on her bow and releasing a arrow. With a whizzing sound it flew in the air and struck the buck right in the back of the head.

It slamming into the dirt and sliding towards the sheer mountain stone wall before colliding there.

"That was amazing" Ellehish said as she breathed hard. moving pasted her teach and towards the dead stag. As she crouched down next to it running her hand through it's furr and up towards the arrow.

"MOVE!" And as she hears those words everything seemed to be in slow motion. Turning her head up as she heard the sound of something falling down. It was a bit of a blurry but she could still make out it's brown fur and muscler arms. Rolling towards her side just in time to avoid getting crushed.

*CRASH*

Dust was everywhere as she moved even further away. the sound of limbs slamming into the ground before a loud rawr. As she turned to look at her teacher she was already shooting arrows into the dirt smoke screen. for each arrow she shoot out they were followed by the sound of grunts of pain. A large troll rushed forward towards her teach. who all the while looking calm but extremely focused.

Ellehish grabbed her own bow that had landed a bit away from her due to her rolling away and tried to shoot. It was ether luck or bad luck that her arrow had managed to hit. Landing right on the trolls ass cheek. With a yelp of pain it turned and rushed her. and as she reached to pull another arrow only to feel nothing. turning her head to look she saw them scattered around the ground. Her eyes turning a deep red as her fangs grow larger and strands of hair grew on her eyes, Causing the Illinois to shatter.

Large tenddrels of tree roots reached up and out of the ground grabbing the trolls limbs and digging into it's flesh. Turning to see her teachers eyes glowing a bright green. she had not noticed her and Ellehish had not noticed the illusion had despelled it's self she raised a up both her hands feeling a energy making it's way towards her palm. As frost shot out and at the troll. As that happened she regressed her transformation to only half state. where only her eyes had turned. More roots where pricing it's body as it struggled to break free. Howls of pain slowly died down as its body when limp.

Mp 200/ 400

Caching her breath from the excitement she turned to look at her teacher as she lowered her hands and began to pick up her arrows.

"Well I'd say that was a great first lesson" She said before laughing. Ellehish couldn't help but join her as her hands trembled.

Both looked into each other's eyes as they then turned to look at the troll they had killed. "It's a juvenile, must have been kicked from it's nest not to long ago." Alawion said as she pulled out a large talen and popped out it's eyes.

"Uh and dear.... your ears are showing." She said while removing anything useful. Panicked Ellehish moved to touch her ears, it was true but she didn't remember turning off her crown. Taking a few steps back Ellehish wasn't sure on what to do.

"Don't worry Ellehish, I don't know if you had notice but I also have ears" She said while moving them. "Though I'm not sure if your one of my people or from the summer set Ilse, but whatever reason you have to hide your identity I'm sure you have a good reason." And as she finished those words she lifted her hand and a green energy swirled around in her palm before a large portal blinked in and out. two humanoid Tree folk each standing at 6'5. Both moved towards Alawion and lifted the trolls body. "Alright I think that's enough for now go grab the buck and let's head back.
