Elijah's next paragraphs dried my blood

"The gem was found in a building which was under fire and the gem fell into the fire but astonishing thing was that nothing like nothing not even a black mark was on the gem. It was completely safe and the most important thing is this gem was never ever seen. It is the first time we are seeing this gem."

It completely felt like the remote gem. I looked at his face clearly and actually his facial structures matched with the one I saved that day.

Elijah said "Now why are you standing here? get lost."

I went back to my seat.

I now heard a familiar voice wishing me "Hello, Ari."

I moved my face up and saw "Leonard!!!"

He was wearing a white shirt fitting him too perfectly and a black coat in his hand.

He said "how about having lunch together?"

"sure."

I went with him to the canteen and we laughed like really good friends. He was such a joke, I mean he talked like in so much speed that sometimes I didn't even understand what he said.

"...then he was the one punished😂."

He was telling me all the funny incidents about him and his brother in school.

He said "actually even if in school he was funny and happy now he is not."

"But why?"

"Beacuse now he is grown up and he has insomnia from about last 6 months."

Insomnia? I asked Zoa

"what is insomnia?"

"a sleeping disorder where a person because of some stress can't sleep."

"ohh might be that is why he feels like devil."

Leo continued "He lost his mother in young age and somehow he doesn't exactly remembers what happened. He had some vague memories and those memories show that his mother's death was his mistake."

"He killed his mother."

"highly possible but....I don't believe that. He is a simple boy with no memories and his vague memories can't judge that incident."

I kind of sympathize with him. He was just a small kid then what could he have done?

"Also that my mother wants me to be the CEO though I like singing. My mum wants to put me in the place of Elijah and for that she can do everything literally everything."

Wow fight between brothers for the company? well that was kind of new to me because in my planet people don't have any siblings. So, not a biggie. Though the gene matters a lot. Having a pure genetics like C15 and having not exactly pure genetics like me.

I now saw a familiar face coming from behind Leo. It was Elijah who came and took a seat beside us and asked in his cold voice "what are you two discussing?"

"N...nothing bro."

He seemed to be kinda scared of Elijah. After all he was a devil boss. Literally who wouldn't be scared of him.

Leo went silent as soon as his brother came and I wanted to say what a mood buster. He was eating in silence.

I ate a little too fast and food got stuck. I started coughing when both of them pulled a glass of water for me.

I definitely didn't understand its meaning so, I picked up glass and said "cheers!!!" everyone thought it was to avoid the awkward situation.

They also said "ummm.....yeah...cheers!!"

I was happy and started eating.

I was eating in a very dirty manner with my hair interrupting. I was trying to take it off my face but couldn't when Elijah got up his seat and lowered himself towards me.

It felt like the moment stopped and I missed a heartbeat. I was looking at him constantly and blinking very slowly and again the hormones instead of affecting me were charging me.

I felt a current when he touched my face to remove the hair from my face. He moved his fingers all over from eyes till my ears tucking my hairs behind ears and then right from there me moved his finger till my lips to wipe off the sauce on my lips.

I felt like the wind was blowing faster even faster than the morning. His side curls were slightly dancing in the winds. The moment for us stopped right then and there. I felt connected.

He now pulled back himself and sat back on his seat. It was like nothing of this beautiful moments were affecting him.

I heard people gossiping

"Is he leaving Catherine again?"

"I don't know but I feel like they are dating."

"But why would he date such a girl?"

"you never know might be for taste change."

And many more. The list doesn't get over.

It doesn't affect me now but it somehow did a lot earlier.

I stood up from my seat and walked away. As I was walking away I saw Catherine looking at me. She didn't seem frustrated even when I was getting intimate with her man for some reasons. But still she was staring me.

She walked down to Elijah and I again heard gossips

"omg, did she hear?"

"if she did I will appreciate her for not slapping that mistress."

I didn't concentrate and walked back but forgot my phone. So, I went back to take it. As I came back to the table I saw Catherine again charming the boss.

I entered and the spell broke. I took her hands in anger and said "we gotta talk."
