Chapter 7 This Is Why You Are Single And I Am Not

" Surprise!!!! " spoke Valeria as she presented herself.

Grandfather Su and Father Su had stood up the moment they saw her.

" Unfilial child" reprimanded Grandfather Su and sat down again.

Valeria was dumbfounded. She expected a welcome home and a love everywhere situation. Who would've thought that she would be reprimanded at her sudden arrival?

But Grandfather Su had scolded her for a better cause. She knew this in her heart.

" Abuelo, I am sorry" she apologized in Mandarin and then looked at Father Su and Su Yanhua. " At least, you should welcome me" requested Valeria.

Father Su laughed at her request and then replied " Of course you are my dear niece".

"I wonder what's the occasion? Even though you gave me a call about it but even a toddler could tell that other than the part about Chinese Mafia the rest is all crap". Father Su questioned. Especially the part about opening up a brand. That was utter crap. Father Su wanted to know the truth. The news Diego running away had already reached his ears so he suspected her arrival had something to do with that matter.

On the other side Su Yanhua and Grandfather, both were furious. Why didn't they know anything about the call? They didn't care about the rest conversation because their minds were stuck on the word 'call'

Grandfather Su cleared his throat to attract their attention. He managed to succeed.

"Why didn't you inform us before arriving. We could've picked you up from the airport" Grandfather Su questioned. It was obvious that he had decided to act clueless about the situation.

"I informed Uncle about my arrival but it seems that he forgot to tell you" Valeria blurted. She unintentionally sold her Uncle out.

'how insensitive', the thought crossed her uncle's mind. Keeping all the familial relationships aside what Valeria did was rude.

And Valeria was aware of that. She said it without thinking. She decided to apologize later.

"You will the stay here" Grandfather Su ordered.

"If you allow, I'll stay here forever" Valeria expressed her loyalty and laughed awkwardly to dissipate the tension in the atmosphere.

She turned to Su Yanhua who was lost in thoughts. She snapped her fingers at her.

"Oi, you" Valeria suddenly spoke. Su Yanhua came back to reality and pointed a finger at herself looking at Valeria in askance.

"Obviously you, do you see anybody else in this room" Valeria asked the obvious. Su Yanhua looked around the room and looked at her.

Valeria looked at her and sighed. She thought to herself ' She wasn't the one who was drugged I was, how come she is in trance'. "Go and get your mother" she ordered haughtily while waving her hand indicating her leave.

Su Yanhua felt a bit offended and proceeded to leave the room.

"Wait, while you're at it get me a real cold drink, being me is hard" she added.

Su Yanhua was flabbergasted. Grandfather Su and Su Yongbo(Father Su) looked at Valeria and chortled.

" Now that you are back in the country, how long do you plan on staying?" Father Su asked her.

"Forever" she looked at Grandfather Su with infatuation and flashed a bright smile at him.

Grandfather Su laughed at her as if she was telling a joke. "only if your words could be trusted" Grandfather Su remarked. Valeria pouted.

"She is serious this time, she is here to look for your son-in-law" a middle-aged woman entered the room while talking.

"Auntie!!" Valeria sprung up for her seat and hugged the middle-aged woman tightly. The woman hugged her back while patting her back and head.

Grandfather Su felt a bit jealous when he saw his maternal granddaughter and his daughter-in-law being so intimate. When people get old, all they needed was companionship. But at the same time he felt satisfied seeing everybody together.

"Stop hogging my mother" Su Yanhua expressed her discomfort upon witnessing them when she entered the room.

"Yeah, let my wife go" Father Su chimed in and pulled Mother Su(Auntie Su) out of Valeria's arms. Valeria felt aggrieved and picked up the glass of juice while placing herself back on the couch.

"But don't you have a fiance?" Father Su expressed his confusion

The moment he spoke up all the juice from Valeria's mouth was sprayed on the carpet. This news was never made public, why did he know about it. Grandfather Su was still in a state of confusion by what happened and Mother Su thought she was pitiful. Su Yanhua let out a mild chuckle

Valeria wiped her mouth with a tissue and explained to them the whole situation.

Cunzai Corporation, Beijing

Evening

PA Wan entered the gloomy looking office. Long Yuehan was seated on sitting in the center of the office with a gloomy face. PA Wan gulped, involuntarily. His ink black eyes that were usually cold contained an indiscernible sadness. He had a dark aura surrounding him. Anybody would feel scared to approach him. PA Wan was no different.

"CEO, Miss Ortego is at the Su Mansion" she informed him. Long Yuehan looked gave her a complicated look and suddenly asked her a question.

"Has she sent someone to look for me?"

PA Wan didn't understand what he was talking about. The events of last night surfaced through her head. PA Wan felt indignant on Long Yuehan behalf but she knew feelings won't help. Practical action would, her eyes shined with feelings of compassion for Long Yuehan's unhappy romance.

"Nope, but I am sure she will send someone to look into your identity soon" she reassured him.

Long Yuehan took a look at his assistant's shining eyes and felt that she was up to something. He warned her not to make unnecessary efforts and excused her to leave. After confirming that she was gone he called Mu Shaohui.

"Could it be that living in Europe for a long time corrupted her thinking. How can she not care about losing her virginity?" he asked on the phone.

"What if she didn't fall for it? Let's discuss this over some drinks tonight. I am busy right now" a reply came from the phone. Long Yuehan agreed with his suggestion and hung up the phone. He stood up to leave when the door was knocked. His assistant entered the room. She wanted to say something but was feeling hesitant.

"Say whatever you want, but hurry up a bit," he said to her. She nodded zealously and presented him with the book.

"CEO Long, I have worked with you for three years, watching you experience an unrequited love has touched my heart. I am officially declaring that I am rooting for your success, which is why I am giving you my secret weapon. This book is the reason why I am not single yet you are." PA Wan declared. She compared herself to him but she never expected that her love story would end in the next few weeks.

Long Yuehan was dumbfounded that he was mocked for being single but also a bit happy. He would do anything to get his childhood sweetheart back. Long Yuehan only felt that because he hadn't seen the title of the book yet. When he grabbed the book, PA Wan dashed out of the room in the fear of being scolded.

When Long Yuehan read the title, the expression on his face turned dark and menacing. He really did look like the Ashura for a second but he took a deep breath and regained his composure. he took the book and left the room.

Su Mansion, Beijing

Evening

Su Yongbo's Study

Valeria's face was dark and her expression was sullen. Both Uncle and niece were looking at each other with the same expression. Suddenly Su Yongbo smiled at her and reassured her " You don't need to utilize any manpower to look for my nephew. My people are already looking for him, rest assured"

I want him alive and kicking so that I can kick his ass" she replied while waving a fist in the air. Su Yongbo laughed at her gesture. Valeria was standing in a brightly lit room. On her side was a shelf that was filled with books in German, Italian, Russian and Spanish. In the corner of the study, there was a small table with an electric stove on it. Water was being heated up on it.

The sound of boiling water was soothing her nerves. Valeria was wearing Su Yanhua's loungewear. Her waist-long black hair with a hint of brown was loosely tied up into are bun with a pencil, two strands of hair were placed on her face which made her look delicate and petite. Her mystic blue eyes were filled with panic and worry.

"No matter what happens, he is still my brother. Now that you are going to handle this matter, I can deal with other stuff". she added.

Su Yongbo nodded at her and she left the room. She took out the cellphone from her pocket and called Richard.

"Stop looking for him, and look into this Li Yuehan for me" she ordered. There were no greetings or warmth in her words. It was just one cold blooded order. After putting down her pohone she redid her bun again and thought to herself. 'Now it's time to deal with that fake friend, Lu Anyan'
