Left With No Choice

While thinking this, he was thoroughly confused. Just why did this girl suddenly give out so many imprints to other students that overblotted when it would endanger her life? Just what was her connection to the vice-dorm leader and the other dorm leaders? Just what does she want with those powerful people of the school?

"I didn't think that you guys would tattle on me while I was stuck fixing some problems on my end."

Raaji spun around in surprise upon hearing that familiar voice, "L-Lotus!"

Lotus stood before him with her arms cross over her chest lightly and a shameless smirk on her face. Lotus hadn't really heard the entire conversation. She's only heard a part of what had been said, but, aside from that, was it really fun to talk behind her back?

"Um... Y-you heard all of that?" Raaji said awkwardly.

A-Cong sighed, "Are all of our students like this when they leave the dorms?"

To be fair, Hei Hui was the only girl in their group of three, including that roc. However, Hei Hui didn't linger on that fact any longer and said with a curious yet courteous smile, "Bringing a student with you. We naturally thought that you have already told him."

"I see." Lotus sighed in disappointment, "It seems there was a misunderstanding. He is an acquaintance, but, friend or not, I would not disclose something to important to others in this school. As long as they are from this school, the closer I am to them, the more reluctant I am to not tell them."

"It seems we have offended you." Hei Hui said apologetically with a frown, "As the two of you had entered our home, we naturally thought he would know, but we did not think that he would be clueless about this fact."

"There was no offense to giving away this secret." Lotus shook her head reassuring her, "As long as Raaji keeps a low profile, they would not even think of coming after him for information and this dorm is your responsibility. Aside from that, I've finally subdued the blot long enough so that Yuu and the others can have enough time to stop him before it got too serious."

"She actually managed to suppress the blot from all the way here?!" Raaji's jaw dropped in bewilderment when he heard this, "But, the overblotted person usually needs to be present in order to suppress the blot, right?"

"Who says that I've returned Jamil to normal?" Lotus frowned as she folded her arms together, "I didn't even interfere with him outside, how could I be able to snap him out of it. I only protected the blot from tainting his soul with irreparable damage. I can't do anything else from there. Right now, Yuu and the others have arrived and have already started working to subdue him."

"However, the overblot over the vice-dorm leader is severe." Lotus stated to the two guardians rather displeased, "Even if the overblot is a matter that you cannot intervene with, you do realize that, as a student, you were not able to protect him from the blot. I can overlook the fact that you can do nothing about the blot, but you were also unable to protect your students tonight... If the other guardians heard of this, I can't say what the guardian of Ignihyde would do since they've already disregarded where an exile should go when exiled. Would they become shameless enough to bring trouble to your front door too?"

From her understanding, the guardian of the Ignihyde dorm are self-centered group. Aside for their own benefits, they would care less if they made the other guardians around them have a harder time due to their actions. Just like this, they have survived making others care for the consequences of their every actions and decisions. One of which was this pup that was left at their doorstep and caused a life threatening commotion!

Hearing this, A-Cong scowled. It wasn't their fault to begin with and there was clearly nothing they can do about it, yet this girl came in and solved their problems with ease saying that they were still at fault?! To think she would have the audacity to accuse them from not doing enough!

"You just want something out of this, don't you?!" A-Cong scolded the girl harshly.

He feared that, if they were to comply, they would both lose their reputation and be robed in broad daylight. He will not stay still for something like that either!

Hei Hui had been around for many years with this guy, so how could she not guess his thoughts? It was obvious that this guy was thinking of something stupid again. She opened her mouth and said to this young girl, "True, we have known about the overblot that would occur and could do nothing to stop it. However, could you take this into consideration of the circumstances with the rules having overlapped one another?"

"If the overblot had put me in danger, then I naturally would not have gone lightly with this." Lotus sighed in disappointment, "However, what I am speaking is on behalf of the students in Scarabia dorm. By not being able to fulfill your duty, you've placed nearly a hundred students in danger and five more students outside of Scarabia. How can you make it up to them?"

"That's..." A-Cong was at a loss for words. She was right. They can't get involved with those mortals as part of their rules. Though it would be different if they were to know about them without the guardians telling the students, however, they can't even get involved with those staffs outside of the dorms! Girl or not, Lotus and Raaji do represent the students and, if they were correct, Lotus should be the only other human student living in Ramshackle dorm with the supervisor. If she were to leak out information that these students were under the protection of guardians but allowed overblot to occur, they would be held responsible regardless of the circumstances. He knew that this was also a world where the strong also value the laws and one of the laws and social stances were to avoid violence and meaningless slaughter and violence. So, how can they fight back against this, much less those vows?

Hei Hui had already thought of an idea and spoke up, "Perhaps, we can hand something over to the dorm as an apology?"

Hearing this, Raaji was dumbfounded. Can they really ask for something from someone so powerful but suppressed so brutally?

"Yes." Lotus nodded with a couple of ideas in mind, "It could work, depending on the weight of the price, though."

"Then, what would Lady Lotus like in return?" Hei Hui questioned curiously.

"I would like the antidotes to the poison from you and Mister A-Cong." Lotus responded.

"What?!" A-Cong's eyes widen in shock but was stopped by Lotus.

"I didn't finish." Lotus continued, "I do not plan to keep this poison myself. I only wish to hand them over to the dorm leader and vice-dorm leader. With this, the vice-dorm leader knows what to do and will mass produce it specifically for their dorm and dorm students. Of course, this also requires your permission. However, having jeopardized the students' lives before, I believe that you will be willing to hand over the antidote and permission to them."

"Of course." Hei Hui responded without hesitation and getting A-Cong to reluctantly give her a nod though she was also feeling rather disappointed having to give up this much, "However, though we have A-Cong's antidote, we have yet to come up with an antidote from my poison. If you give me a few more days, I can naturally produce an antidote from my poison for the dorm."

"Hm..." Lotus frowned, "I'm afraid that my time in these outskirts are limited... It would be difficult for me to return to this place without the dorm leader's and vice-dorm leader's knowledge. Knowing the Dorm Leader, he could create a distraction, but I have a feeling that I could be brought into it if I were to ask him to let me travel the desert again..."

"However, we're not powerful magicians. We cannot create an antidote at a snap of a finger." Hei Hui persisted with a sigh, "Please understand that we desperately require that length of time to create the antidote."

"I understand." Lotus heaved a sigh of dismay, "Then, I'm really left with no choice..."

Hearing this, Hei Hui was disappointed as well seeing that she had such high hopes for this girl to be some outstanding cultivator only to be blocked by the factor of terrain and laws.

"Then, I'll make a trade as well."

"Huh?" They looked to her in surprise as she pulled out a small porcelain bottles.

"Inside are some Alchemy pills I created for my spiritual beasts. However, since it's come to this, I can only ask to trade them for permission to create an antidote myself."

Normally, she wanted to just sneak back into the dorm with her ability and meet the guardians herself. However, she can't promise that the vice-dorm leader won't become suspicious is Raaji continues to miss the time he would usually meet up with Kalim and she requires a Scarabia dorm student to be present should she have anything to discuss with regarding the dorm's situation. Raaji have to be their only representative for the dorm if that were to happen.
