He shook his head and sighed after having thought about it carefully, "Nevermind. This is Kalim we are talking about. The idiot isn't thinking of forgiving me again, is he?"
"I doubt it. But if it's that guy's personality... If he's so forgiving, then I assume that he is also apologetic for placing you in that situation enough to forget to even hate you for what you did." The girl shook her head with a trace of disapproval, "That guy is also not alone. It would seem the Octavinelle and the Ramshackle dorm have come to help him as well. So, they're all outside fighting to wake you up, but here you were snoring away."
"Huh?" Jamil looked to her in surprise, "Is that true? They're all here?"
"You can tell whether I'm lying or not when you awaken, right?" The girl responded bluntly, "Anyway, I'm just here to help you out. Geez, I've never been so busy in all of my lives! Though, I bet it can't be helped now..."
He looked to her in confusion as she simply glared back at him and pointed, "Now, listen! I'll only say this once, so listen cause I won't repeat it twice! I've placed a bit of my mana in you which can help suppress the blot at a level to prevent you from losing your life to it. It's buying time for the others to come in and wake you up before you succumb to it. If they don't wake you up in time, you will die and your overblot would continue to run on a rampage."
"This..." Jamil looked to her in surprise when she said this.
"Can't you see my form right now?" She responded bluntly, "This is the form I take in your mind using the mana I used to suppress your blot. In the future, if this happens again, I'll help you one more time, but that's it. Don't think it's because I don't want to, because I definitely wouldn't be helping you now if I wanted to. It's because this is how an imprint works."
"An imprint?" Jamil looked to her in confusion, "This is an imprint? What is an imprint?"
"Imprints are basically mana from within the body inserted into another and it would act on their own as long as there is a trigger." The Girl responded, "In here, because you overblotted, my imprint activated and it suppressed your overblot. However, don't think that this is just something you can rely on and run amok with your magic freely. Once. It can only aid you once. Then, it won't work again."
Hearing this, Jamil was surprised, "You can actually do this?"
"Of course." The girl responded, "If it were for any other reason, I still would not have given you that imprint no matter what reason it may be."
"I get it." Jamil grumbled in annoyance.
The girl pouted before him and muttered, "At least, act like you're a little grateful. If you hadn't thought for number one, you wouldn't be in this predicament."
"And, why can't I be number one?" Jamil scowled, "I so clearly have the capabilities, yet nobody acknowledges my capabilities."
"Nobody?" The girl raised a brow in confusion, "What do you mean nobody? Aren't you just lying through your teeth at this point?"
"What?" Jamil looked to her in uncertainty, "Everyone is just looking upon Kalim, but never at me! Everything was for Kalim, but never once had they thought for me!"
"Ah, so you are lying through your teeth..." The girl frowned, "So, you're a loser and a liar."
"You-!"
"They keep you down because you are talented."
"What?" Jamil was left baffled when she spoke these words.
"Am I wrong?" The girl huffed, "The entire reason they tell you this is because they acknowledge that you are better than Kalim in almost every aspect. You're smarter than him and more talented them him. If not for your status and your unique magic, you would be revered as a tactician sultan with your ambitions. However, that isn't possible for another reason and that's is because you are blind and is not fully aware of the details of the bigger picture."
"I'm blind to the little details?" Jamil whispered this in shock.
"They tell you to tone it down because you are talented and rumors will naturally spread affecting both your family and Kalim's family and it would bring all sorts of trouble into both of your childhoods. They tell you to stay below Kalim because nobody would think of targetting you as much as they could to Kalim and, to protect Kalim, they also have you to step in to help him out of sticky situations with your quick thinking. Thus, this system was made. The fact that the two of you are from different status helped reinforce the two of you to stick together. Did you think talent and schemes are all there is to survive in the future? Without charisma, nobody would listen to you as well. Without a kind heart, nobody will come to your aid. However, without the ability to fight off these underhanded schemes and talents, Kalim is also bound to fall as well. That's why he relies on you because he doesn't have the knowledge to tell between which is wearing a facade and which is genuine. One is the brain and the other is the power. The fact that you don't know this makes it all the more reason that you're a loser! Hmph!"
With this in mind, she sighed in dismay, "Seriously, you are too much like the tactician of the sand."
Though he had planned to refute, he was surprised to hear the word of him being similar to that of the tactician of the sand! Shocked, he questioned her words in confusion, "What are you trying to say?"
"You're just as blind as the tactician of the sand." The girl responded bluntly.
Jamil's face stiffened in disgust when he heard this, "How can you say that about the Tactician of the Sand?! He was so talented and smart that he became the sultan and even a genie!"
"Of course, he had the brains like you do." The girl said with a scowl, "He had the brains and the skills, but he never had the heart of the people or was born into the position he ended up with. Did you really think that being a Genie was all glorious. You get trapped in a lamp for thousands of years until someone actually comes by to awaken you, then you have to abide to the wishes of all who has his lamp in their hands! Nobody would listen to his own wishes."
"That's..." Jamil grimaced, "But, there's no concrete evidence that he became a genie in the end."
"Then, why did you think he was able to become sultan when the former sultan has a daughter he so cherishes and spoils?" The girl pointed out with a frown, "Would such a person who takes the daughter actually become a good ruler? If you think of it, the sultan is still a ruler and, aside from abilities, he is also a father. By the time his daughter is at a marriageable age, he would've been in his later late thirties to forties. Would the sultan really have agreed to such a marriage, even if they were friends? The sultan has a good will, but he still relies on his grand vizer for decisions that are to be made by him. Without him, the sultan would not have attained his ruling position or helped maintain a prosperous kingdom. But, after he became sultan, he became like how your overblot was and indulged himself too much whilst making poor decisions. In the end, a thief had to be the one tricked him into becoming a genie which allowed him to be given the hand of the princess by both the sultan and the princess herself. However, you don't have such a thing for yourself just as you don't have the charisma or compassion for individuals because you are too busy to figure out who means harm and who doesn't. Why would you want to snatch the first place when you already have a set up that can ensure all of this and can first place really give you everything you wanted? To gain is to lose. You will certainly lose more than you gain if you are not careful in life."
Suddenly, there was a bright light that flashed in the distance as she yawned and responded, "Okay, it looks like they managed to help you, after all... Come on. Let's go."
With that, she grabbed his wrist and pulled him across the ink floor with the sound of bells that followed each of their steps. However, he was surprised to find that, not only had the weight vanished, but the ink had gone from him as well! It was as if she really was a fairy that can grant wishes. However, he had yet to comprehend everything that was given to him when he had awoken to the startling sight before him.
.....
He thought for a while in deep contemplation. Since he overblotted, he had been having these strange dreams and nightmares.
