Fall Of The Pitohui Assassin, Promise Kept

The wolves all wanted to take a stand. However, every one of them could not move as they could only lie there and watch bitterly as he made his way to the dorm. As they watched, they could not forget the vows that their leader followed with his life on the line to protect the students of this dorm. However, now they couldn't do anything and this villain will now destroy the dorm right before their very eyes!

As the alpha glared at him in frustration, he couldn't help but remember that one child that had promised them with her appearance and with her life on the line. Where is she? If she doesn't appear soon…

…..

As the cultivator walked out of the darkness and to the stairway of the dorm, he paused with a scowl, "Another array? And an ancient one at that!"

He recalled that feeble body and a contemptuous smile came over his face as he laughed, "As I thought… we have a traitor in our midst… Huo Wei… good, very good! You dare hide your abilities from us!"

"What's so good?"

The man frowned and spun around with a look of surprise to find a girl in black before her with crimson red hair!

"Who are you?!" The cultivator narrowed his eyes in bewilderment.

"Who I am… Are you worthy to know it?" Lotus responded in an aloof manner.

The cultivator in blue frowned as he stared at her till his eyes rested on hers. Purple pupils with the strange mark!

"You! You're still alive?!" The cultivator stared at her in disbelief as she stood before him in horror, "So, the Hui household gave birth to a daughter instead of a son… Hmph. It would seem that the information was inaccurate… Whatever."

He immediately rushed up at her in a blink of an eye and reached out. However, the girl instantly avoided it. Surprised, the man stood there in bewilderment and lunged at her again. Yet, the girl was fast and simply stepped away from him before he turned around and tried to grab her only for him to realize that he could not see what was before his wrist!

With the realization, pain accompanied as he tried to move his fingers in his desperation. However, there were no more fingers on that arm. His hand!

Horrified, the man screamed in pain and tightly clutched the tip of his bloody wrist in horror and shock. He glared at her in hatred as he saw her pick up the hand and spat out at her, "What did you do?!"

"What do you mean?" The girl responded with a curious look across her face.

"Don't joke with me!" He snarled, "What did you do to me?!"

The girl raised a brow as a silver dagger appeared in her hand, "Huh, I was only taking the hand that dared to try touch me and poison me."

She stabbed through the hand with the dagger before burning it away, "The mark of the Pitohui bird clan does not have such a weak person like you in their clan."

Hearing this, his face quickly ashen in horror as she stumbled back in disbelief, "Where did you-?"

Knowing what he wanted to say, she huffed a frown and responded, "Do you deserve to know where this one heard of the clan? You do not even deserve to even hear of an ancient clan. It's a shame that their people have become so weak and pitiful as to merge into the human race…"

Without hesitating, the man lunged at her again through the pain with a knife in hand. However, the girl did not dodge this time and simply grabbed the blade with her bare hand as she muttered under her breath, "Pity... such an old blade…"

Suddenly, the cultivator heard a horrifying muffled crack before he noticed the dagger's blade had been broken away from the handle. He moved back in horror before standing there in shock. She crushed his dagger with her bare hands!

No! It didn't matter! As long as she comes into contact with the dagger that was all that mattered the most! However, seconds passed when he noticed something was off. The wide smirk from his face soon vanished from his face as he stammered, "What-!"

The girl raised a brow and responded with a frown, "What's... wrong? Are you... shocked? The eyes of an assassin shouldn't be... this pitifully astonished. Hah… What a fool…"

"But, you're poisoned already when I poisoned you!" He cried out in disbelief. With two poisons in her body and her frail body, she should've already died!

"A poison?" Lotus folded her arms and sighed, "You call that pathetic mistake an act of poisoning? While I was miles ahead?"

"Wha-!"

"It's true that two poisons can cause some dangerous effects. However, you did not even confirm what sort of poison I was hurt with and you decide to dump a random poison into my body." She sighed, "When two poisons enter the body there's another effect that can take place. As long as the poison in the body is stronger than the one that was introduced, the weaker and less aggressive poison will naturally be overpowered by the existing one. So, the poison that you introduced into my body had all but died out. As for the poison you used on your knife, toxic poison also has no effect on me."

"You…" He stammered in a holler after hearing her words, "You monster!"

To have lived after taking such a strong and vicious poison for the last fifteen years was impossible aside for a monster!

However, hearing these words, Lotus was hardly phased as she responded with a weak huff of a faint smile, "Oh, so you finally realized it? However, did you forget yourself? Having brought down the entire pack of shade wolves and willing to slaughter the entire dorm… You're also a fitting monster as well. So…"

She strode forward and sneered, "Perhaps between us centipedes... I wonder... which one among us is the stronger monster?"

With that, she threw the shards back at him to which he quickly dodged, but she had already appeared before him as soon as he touched the ground and swung her dagger at him. He hollered in agony as he clutched his face, "You monster!!! You-! Agh-!"

Before he could finish his sentence, Lotus had already grabbed him by the neck and pulled him up with ease as she muttered in annoyance, "A monster should be louder... yet you scream like a rabbit. You're in my way. Move!"

Third sister…

Lotus froze before turning around, but what she found was not who she thought it was. Instead, what she found was nothing but darkness before her. Her little sister…

Mo Li was no longer in the worlds with her. She was gone…

Gone. Freed from her suffering and her madness but also gone for thousands of years without traces of her eventual return from this world. For this, she was neither sad or mad for her because that was not what she felt when Lotus had touched her scepter.

It was unusual. For everyone that heard the true tragedy of the Great Seven, they either held pity or acknowledgement in their eyes. However, for her…

It was different. She was neither sad nor was she happy for see proof of her passing. Her little sister… Her one and only little sister…

There was no frustration or pity, but…

There was nothing but the past in the back of her mind and the future in the now and then.

There was a sudden gag before her when she remembered the current time and place. She sighed after remembering that voice in the back of her mind. She took down a vial from her ring as the scent wafted into the air. It was than that the man screeched in pain for air and for release from her grasp as scales slowly began to emerge from his skin and his tongue soon became longer. The pain across his body became more excruciating as his breath became haggard.

Lotus dropped him on the ground as his body shifted into that of a three-legged iguana!

With that, she stuffed the iguana into her ring before she turned to the wolves and filled the room with her array. The moment the wolves smelled a floral scent they could feel the pain from their bodies alleviated as she approached them. Once the alpha stood up, he was surprised to learn that the poison had disappeared from his body. At the same time, he could hear the chiming of the bell from inside the rooms.

"It's the start of a new month…" He whispered quietly before turning his fierce eyes to her, "You've kept your promise."

"So, have you." Lotus nodded her head softly.

Seeing her current demeanor, the alpha noticed a significant change compared to when he had first met her. From the sight of the fight, he could see that she was still arrogant and cruel, but she held an aura of calm and passion within her. So, he knew that she could've dealt the finishing blow to that cultivator rather than allowing him to live. However, for unknown reasons, she kept the villain alive when she found him annoying and even kept him away.
