Lucky To Have Them In My Life

My friends head to the coffee shop early in the morning to see my progress about my signature beverage. I decide to use the dried butterfly pea flower tea that will combine through the lemon juice.

"Do you all really have to watch what am I doing?" I ask them as they all gather around the table, watching me.

I can't concentrate when someone was watching from my work and my hands are really trembling on how nervous I am, like today.

"We want to see the magic so I guess you need to start," Theo mumbles while leaning his head to his palm as he leans his elbow to the table.

"You are very domineering, Theo. Mia is just testing out!" Yoongi claims and smacks Theo's head. I beam at them when I feel at ease when they are here to support me.

I grope my heart clench knowing that I don't trust them and mostly at myself, my mind telling me that I should be worried about myself when Theo got his own signature beverage, Justin and Jennie working their signature pastry, and Yoongi working on his signature meal. I'm just sitting there, ordering around so the pressure was on me.

But at the same time, they are here for me to build a wonderful shop without giving me any pressure when I don't release my own signature. Theo is very mad at me when I walk outside alone at 4 in the morning to test multiple times. He's always berating Yoongi that he didn't walk with me. I guess I'm very lucky to have them in my life.

"Mia, You are crying! What happened?" Jennie asks as she walks to my side and hugs me. I touch my face and my tears were running down my cheeks. I wipe it down and hug Jennie back.

"S...sorry, I...I am very thankful that y...you all are here to support me." I say as I slacken the embraces to Jennie. Justin struck into awe when he saw me crying at a little thing.

"We know that you were blaming yourself for being bossy and being useless just because we are working on our own signature. Don't think about that since you are doing great. Protecting us from other people, you always deeming our feelings when we are getting tired and have a decent payment." Theo explains as he holds my hands.

"Don't forget that we are always here for you as we promise to your father before he dies and we keep that promise in our heart," Yoongi mumbles without looking at me yet the hint of a pink shade crossing his face is very obvious.

"Let's stop this sentimental moment so we could see the magic that Mia made," Justin says while wiping his own tears.

"Okay let's get it!" I exclaim. I take out the ingredients that I have. butterfly pea flower that I brewed last night and the lemon juice that I did a while ago. I get the crushed ice out of the freezer to ready all my ingredients.

"I'll show you the magic that I discovered yesterday so watch carefully and I'll explain that afterward," I explain to them.

They're all nodded. I place the glass tumbler on the table and slowly spill the dark blue tea 1/4 of the cup then crushed ice and pour lemon juice. It can see the division between the dark blue tea at the bottom, crushed ice on the middle, and the lemon juice at the top of the glass tumbler.

"If you stir this together, you will see the color change of the drink." So Theo excitedly ruffles the drink and when the drink is blended, the color dark blue changed into magenta which had a very pretty color. Their eyes are glistening in amusement while clapping their hands together.

"That is so smart!" Jennie exclaim.

"Thank you, Jennie! I'm really researching the combination that compliments the butterfly pea flower tea and lemon juice is the best option." I explained as I cleaned the workplace.

"How does it happen?" Justin asks me as he takes a sip on the drinks. He hums when tasting the tea.

"Science. The tea was an alkaline pH so when you combine the acid that can see in the lemon juice, it will change its color. Blue into the magenta." My chest was out when I explain how to happen.

'Fun fact about me, I love science!'

"We can release that after the 1st anniversary," Yoongi says while taking a sip of the tea.

They all nod in unison as they agree to Yoongi. I'm so proud of myself when they all approve of my work. I'm very anxious about my work, thinking that it will be a failure like me but it turns out fine and it is enough for me.

After a long tiring day, I take a break on the counter while making my own coffee. And when we're waiting for Yoongi for our lunch, a familiar man steps inside the shop and sits beside the glass window. He leans his face on the glass window while looking outside like he always did. I look away while giving him some space so he couldn't think that I'm a creeping woman.

Yoongi gives me my lunch and walks to the nearest table so if someone ordered, I can get up to get their order. After 15 minutes, I take a quick glimpse of a man, who's just sitting there without ordering. I sign Theo to come in my direction.

"What is it?" He asks me.

"The man behind me didn't order anything," I say.

"Do you want me to oust him out of the shop?" I shake my head as an answer.

"Get him some food and coffee. It's on me." I say while giving a grin at him. He nods and walks inside the counter to do as I said. After a minute, Theo holds a tray with our lunch meal which is pesto with garlic bread and an iced Americano. He freezes on his spot when he sees the man smiling at him. I frown while watching them interacting in silence.

He shakes his head before wandering through the man's direction and gives the meal to him. What confused me, they're comfortable talking to each other like they know each other.

"How have you been?" The man asks Theo.

"I'm great, how about you? I saw the news on the internet. Are you okay?" He asks the man nodded at him.

"Okay, that's good," Theo said

"Theo, I don't order anything."

"It was in the house, our boss wants to give you that so enjoy your meal," Theo says. But before he strode out of the man's direction, the man calls him and stops when he announced something that catch my attention.
