Today, we're preparing for Justin's surprise birthday party so we come up with the idea to have a campfire in the sand.
And now, we head to the closest mall to buy some gifts for Justin and some decorations that will be used for the campfire. I'm with Theodore, who's very anxious about the gift for Justin. I don't know what relationship they have. I know they are very intimate with each other.
Theodore chooses to come with him since we've been friends for a long time. My gaze travels to Theodore and I feel sorry when seeing him very worried even if it's just a gift.
"Do you really have to be so uneasy? I mean you are just giving your birthday gift." I say but my words don't help to ameliorate his mood.
"It's not easy Mia."
"How is it not easy? We are only surprising him for his birthday so why don't you just relax and think of what you will give to him." I mumble as my eyes wander to the mall.
"You are not helping Mia. I'm not just giving him some surprise gift."
"I'm really not helping, huh? But why did you choose me than Jasper? Jasper is Justin's half brother. He could help you with your problem." I scoff as I leave him behind and step inside the department store.
"Wait up Mia!" He cries out but I choose to ignore him. I don't understand why it's tough for him to choose the best gift for him.
"Mia, are you mad at me?"
"I'm not mad at you. I'm just pissed off why you were very anxious about getting the best gift for him. We know each other ever since we're wearing diapers." I explain as I choose some men's clothes for Justin.
"I know but today is not the same as before."
"What do you mean?" He sighs, picks up the clothes, and gives them to me. I check the clothes and it's very Justin's style.
"You're welcome. He needs those clothes." He utters without looking at me. I glance at him and see the blush forming all over his face.
"Are you asking Justin out for a date?" I implore him and his eyes wide as he stares at me. His face shrouds with blush in embarrassment.
"H-how did y-you know?" He stutters. I wink at him, leaving him behind.
"Mia! Don't leave me!" He cries out as he follows me behind. I go to the cashier to pay for the shirt that Theodore just picked.
After, Theodore is waiting for me beside the open entrance so I walk in his direction and wrap my arm around his.
"Shall we go?" He nods and I follow him wherever he wants to go.
As we wander inside the flower shop, I hear some girls murmuring to their friends. "Look at the guy. He is very handsome."
"Oh my, he is but the girl is not beautiful. Why does he choose the ugly one?" I take a deep, heavy sigh to steady my mind.
"I agree. She is very plain!" I look at Theodore, who's searching for better flowers that will give to Justin.
"Mia, do you think Justin will like chrysanthemum?" He asks me.
Then, the girls gasp when hearing Theo and say, "H-he's gay."
"He's a very fine-looking good man yet gay." I scoff when she insults my friend so I release a deep sigh before smiling at the two girls who keep rumoring about my friend.
"And what is it about?" I assert. My eyes narrow and my fist clenches when feeling the rage out of my head as I stroll closer to their direction.
"I-it's nothing." The girl stutters.
"Good. If you have a problem with my friend being gay. You will feel the fist out of your face. Do you want that?" They shake their head as an answer and leave the shop.
Unexpectedly, Theodore holds my shoulder when seeing me very furious. I just nod my head and help him search for some flowers.
"Justin loves sunflowers." I blurt out Justin's favorite flower.
"Really? I don't know that." I chuckle.
"When we were a child, he's very fascinated by how sunflowers followed the light of the sun. He wished that someday, someone endowed him a sunflower from the man he likes," I confess while picking the sunflower and appraise the natural beauty of it.
"Did he like someone when we were a kid?" I hum and nod but I don't want to tell him that Justin likes Theodore since we're a kid until now.
"Two sunflowers please," Theodore mutters to the florist.
"Okay, sir. What time do you want to deliver it?" The florist asks.
"No need for delivery. I'll pick it personally by 6 in the evening." The florist nods as we wait for the florist to give the receipt.
"Thank you for choosing my shop." We nod and walk out of the shop.
Then, we go to the jewelry shop to search for the best bracelet that could match Justin's likes.
"This one?" Theodore points to the simple star bracelet.
"That's cute but I guess it's better if you choose the bracelet that has an infinite sign on it. Do you think so?" He smiles at me and nods
"Hello, miss. I would like to have a bracelet that has an infinite sign." She nods and takes out the bracelet that has an infinite sign.
"This bracelet is one of the rare items that we ended in the shop." The girl explains.
"Really? Why is that?" I ask.
"It's made by the owner itself. This bracelet was originally designed by the wife of the owner. The owner wants to give this bracelet to the right person and I choose the two of you. Are you a couple?"
"Oh no, we are just best friends. This guy likes my friend so I'm helping him to choose the best gift."
"Oh, that's wonderful. Are you going to buy this bracelet?" Theodore nods to the girl.
"Do you like the bracelet?" I ask him.
"Yes, it's not because of the story by itself but the bracelet itself. Justin is worth giving a bracelet." He said as he took out his debit card and gave it to the teller.
"You made the right choice sir and thank you for choosing the shop." The teller announces as she bestows the debit card back with the bracelet.
