As I walk outside his room, my eyes gaze at Christian, who's currently crouching in front of the grand piano. And so, I stroll closer to him, leaning my torso off the grand piano as I cross my arms whilst my eyes never leave his sight.
Then, he looks at me when noticing my presence. I smile at him.
"Do you know how to play the piano?" He asks, signing me to sit with him and giving me space.
"I don't know how to play," I respond whilst looking at the keyboard.
"What can you do?"
I glance at him, shrugging as my hand strokes my chin before replying to him
"My father only taught me how to brew coffee while my mother taught me how to cook so there's no music talent around my parents. Only my step-brother, who's composing some music for the artist." He hums.
"Do you want me to play?" I smile, responding with a nod to his query.
"Okay." He says whilst smiling at me.
He heaves a deep, heavy sigh before landing his hands to the keyboard of the piano.
He starts playing the piano at a low tone, having a sound of dark music onto his play, and I don't expect that he will sing an unfamiliar song.
And I believe he composes it.
"I wish I could fly with you,
To the moon that we escape.
We shared our love from the moon shines bright.
But you leave me behind the dark world."
"You're like a butterfly,
As the beauty as your wings.
That I couldn't reach.
I wish I became a shined butterfly."
I feel the song portrays someone who leaves him behind the curtains. I can't perceive the person but what I believe is… that person is the one who he's waiting for.
"Please hold me tight, hold me tight
If you love me, you left me holding this feeling.
But you never came back,
And now I'm holding myself to breach the cold breeze."
And this song is very tragic to the point my eyes want to release a shed of tears when this song struck into my heart. Also, he places his feelings in his song that it becomes very gloomy.
"Do you like it?"
I snap into a reality when he finally finishes his song. I smile at him and nod.
"You composed that song for someone that you are waiting for. And it's really dark."
"It was but I guess it never comes back."
He sighs, leaning his forehead to the keyboard. And there, I'm sitting beside him, discerning his pain and sorrow and I can't even comfort him, to the fact that my heart clenches when seeing him like this.
Or I pity myself when thinking that there's a hope that he'll like me but… No, he's waiting for someone until now. I hate this feeling. I shouldn't like him or anything.
I groan inside my head when my heart and brain keep hinders from each other.
"I'm sorry, Mia if I became emotional. I-I'll head back to my room. Feel free to use the other room." He says as he heads to his room, leaving me behind.
"He's really hurt," I murmur to myself as I look at the glass window, seeing the heavy rain doesn't stop.
My eyes wide when hearing a loud thud coming from outside.
"I-I c-ca… can't"
I run to the other room, slamming the door close as I hide under the blanket. Suddenly, my body shakes uncontrollably and with both hands. I close my eyes tightly as my lips tremble.
"P-please s-stop," I mumble non-stop.
Another thud coming from outside as it unison to my scream, continuing to shiver. My eyes escape tears and rush through my cheeks when the loud thud of the storm doesn't stop.
"NO!! S-STOP! A-AMAIA!"
Once the storm fires out, I can't take this sh*t anymore! I take my confidence to quickly jump off the bed, rushing outside the room. I couldn't see anything since the lights are off and so I found someone inside the house. And with the help of the light coming from the glass window, I'm capable of seeing the hallway.
I sob hysterically when the thunderstorm thuds again. My head shakes furiously, closing my eyes, and begging the storm to stop.
"I-I n-need someone. P-please, help m-me!" I stutter, feeling the heaviness from my lungs.
Then, my eyes land in Christian's room, and I rush through his room, slamming his door open.
I hear a groan from the bed so I'm not wasting my time and run towards the man, hugging him behind.
"W,-WHAT THE!" Christian yells, jolting out of his bed and causing me to fall from the bed.
I glance at him, begging him to help me.
"P-ple...please h-he...help m-me" I stutter as I sob harder.
Christian, on the other hand, is standing there, gazing at me, and doesn't do anything. And all of a sudden, a loud thud from outside sounds again so I stay back, leaning my back on the wall as I try to hide from the thunderstorm.
"S-STOP! P-PLE...PLEASE!" I scream, hysterically crying as I hug my knees. I continue begging the thunderstorm to stop.
"Mia, are you okay? Why are you crying?" I finally hear Christian's voice as he runs towards my direction and kneels in front of me.
"Mia?"
I slowly lift my head up and hug him tightly.
"P-please, I-I c-can't t-take it a-anymore," I whisper.
I nuzzle my face to the crook of his neck. He caresses my back to soothe me when he notices that my body is shaking uncontrollably.
"Shhh. It's okay. No one's going to hurt you. I'm here." He whispers.
I hug him tightly as another thud hits again from outside. He hums a song as he continues stroking my back just to distract me.
He carries me into his arms, placing me on the bed but when he unwraps his arms around me, I panic as if he's going to leave me.
"C-Christian," I call as he smiles at me.
He lies down beside me, wrapping his arms around my waist whilst caressing my hair.
"It's okay Mia. No one is going to hurt you. I'll protect you even with the thunderstorm."
