We start strolling down the mountain without any of us disputing the issues that Christian encounters. Despite that, I haven't strived to ask a further question since he's suffering too much, and also, I don't want him to think that I'm meddling with his personal life.
"Why are you so quiet?" He asks.
"I don't want you to think that I'm interfering with your personal life or even your problem so I choose to keep quiet myself and not to ask more," I explain as I grasp my bag shoulder strap.
"How about you?" I hum.
"You love your shop but haven't you tried other things?"
"Well, I want to be a writer but I don't know when I'll start my story," I explain.
"Why don't you try to write a novel? I know your parents will be so proud of you when you release your novel." He says while smiling at me.
'My novel? I think that's a great idea.' I thought to myself. It's my dream to release my novel to share my story with other people that could give inspiration to my story. The story behind me. But the problem is I don't have any inspiration from doing my novel.
"You can publish your love story. A true story that could inspire all your readers." I smile at him and nod.
"I will do that someday," I said.
"Look, we're near to the lake." He says while pointing to the lake. I jump with excitement and hold Christian's hand and sprint with him so we could reach the lake fast. My eyes glimmer when seeing the lake.
The water in the lake is very clean and fresh, I can see the underneath of the lake because of the clarity of the water and also, I can see my reflection. Then, I glance at Christian, who's settling his bag down.
"Do you want to swim now?" I ask him.
He shakes his head as leaning his back on the tree and having a rest from waddling but I couldn't let that pass. Instead, I run towards him, grasping his wrist, and forcibly, I push him out of the tree.
"No! Don't push me on the lake! My shoes would be soaked in the water!" He cries out yet I ignore him and push him into the water. Suddenly, all the splashes are coming from my direction when he falls on the water. I notice that he's glaring at me, rather, I laugh at him.
Then, I start to run away from him when he strives to hustle me. "You can't get away from me!" Christian shouts as he runs faster to get me.
I yelp when his wet arms wrap around my body and heave me to the cold water along with him. My whole body shivers when the cold water dashes throughout my body.
"It's cold!" I clamor as I shove Christian's shoulder. He just laughs at me and splashes the water on my face. I cough when I accidentally swallow the water from the lake. Hence, I wipe the water out of my face and glare at Christian.
"Ohh, you want a fight, huh? I'll give that fight you want." I announce as I spatter the water on his face and he fights back. And we're very wet but at the same time, laughing as if we're having a battle that no one wants to lose the fight.
"Okay, my eyes hurt. We can stop now." I say to Christian as I walk out of the lake and sit beneath the tree. Within a minute, he joins me and sits beside me.
"Do you think we should get back at the cabin?" I ask him but he shrugs his shoulder, responding to my answer.
"I think they are playing on the beach." He mutters.
And when the cold breeze tickles my body, I feel quivers darting through my body so I clutch myself to feel my warmth. Christian glances at me with his eyes full of concern.
"You should change your clothes." I nod as I get my bag and wander to the place so I could change my clothes. I set my bag on the ground, with my clothes and a big towel. Then, I wrap myself in a towel so I could remove my clothes one by one.
Promptly, my body freezes when the bushes stride and hear footsteps coming from me and so, I slowly clasp the stick to protect me from the someone or animals that could oppress me.
"W-Who's there?" I ask as my eyes wander around the place but no one is responding.
The bushes continue striding and the footsteps heavily coming from my direction. Then, I scream when someone appears from nowhere, covering my eyes with my hands and doesn't bother to look around to check who's tapping my shoulder.
"AHHH! WHY ARE YOU NAKED? I DON'T WANT TO SEE THIS!" I hear a howl coming from somewhere so I slowly remove my hands to my eyes.
Hence, I realize that I let go of my towel just to unseen the surroundings. My eyes widen and immediately settle my towel around my body before looking at the person who just appears from somewhere.
"WHY ARE YOU ALL HERE?!" I scream when seeing my friends covering their eyes knowing that I'm naked.
"Did you cover yourself?" Jasper asks me.
"Yes, you can look now," I announce.
"I'll assist you to cover yourself so you could change your clothes," Jennie suggests as she reaches for the towel and covers my body.
After changing my clothes, I walk closer to their direction and individually, smack their head.
"THAT HURTS!" Theo cries as he caresses his head.
"What are you all doing here?" I ask them. Justin grabs my bag on the ground.
"Well, we followed you and Christian to see if there's progress."
"Progress of what?" They just hum.
"Nothing. Let's go, I think your loverboy is waiting for you." Theodore says.
They pat my shoulder as they wink at me before walking outside the woods and straight to the lake, leaving me behind. Dumbfound.
"What are they talking about?" I murmur while I follow them behind.
