Chapter Thirteen: “Loosing Them”

A month has passed and I finally they released me from the hospital. I was still sad about my friends passing away, but I knew that they would always be in my memories and in my heart. All of their funerals were going to take place at the same time and at the same location. I didn't want to go, the thought of them not being here with me is terrible. In that moment I knew that I wouldn't have them in my wedding, and I knew I had to talk about it with Chris. He came in with a bag of clothe and gave me a kiss.

-"how are you babe?" He asked me.

-"I'm fine, help me get up."

He got me in a wheelchair and took me to sign some paperwork for me to leave. He helped me sign and a nurse took me to the exit. I of course was still trying to process everything, but I knew I had Chris by my side to go threw everything.

Their funerals were starting in an hour, I got dressed and put on some makeup to cover up my scar. "You look beautiful!" Chris said to me as I stopped putting makeup on. I kissed him and tolled him that I was ready to go.

We got to the place the funeral was going to take place, here in L.A. I was nervous and ashamed of being there. All of their parents were sitting next to each other. I got closer and everybody started staring at me with sorrow on their faces. I looked at Chris and I told him that I wanted to leave, in that moment Amanda's mother came towards me, she was crying and her eyes were all read.

-"Lily!" She said to me.

-"Mrs. Vice, how are you? How are you feeling?" As I asked her, I tried to keep a straight face.

-"I'm fine, we're fine. But how are you Lily, how are you doing?" She asked me.

As I reached out to hug her, I started crying on her shoulder. She started crying as well and Chris grabbed me and told me that the funeral was about to start and sat me down next to all of my friends parents. My mom and dad didn't want to come to not bother the other parents, they thought that the presence of the, here with me was going to make the other parents sadder. I was dying inside, I couldn't say a word.

Everyone spoke at the funeral, their parents, siblings I never met before and friends, it was sad but at the same time beautiful. I didn't say anything because I couldn't speak

and I couldn't bare the thought that they were gone. This accident was a tragedy, but something made me want to marry Chris more. He was the entire month with me at the hospital and gave me so much love, he made me forget sometimes about what had happened.

The funeral had finished and I didn't go to the reception. Chris told me that he wanted to take me out to a restaurant tonight with my parents to celebrate that I was okey, I wasn't in the mood for it but I accepted and I told him that I was going to take care of everything.

It was six o'clock and I was getting dressed up to go out with Chris and my parents. I'm taking them to this beautiful restaurant next to where I used to worked. Chris and I were sharing the same hotel room, it was nice, he's organized and respects distance, but the only things I wanted was him hugging me all day. He went out of the bathroom and had this Polo shirt on with white pants, he looked smoking hot.

-"oh my god. You look so handsome!" I se paid to him.

As he started smiling he went wards me and kissed me and said, "you look smoking!", we both started laughing.

We finally finished getting dressed and went to my parents hotel room and knocked on their door, they opened the door and my mom looked beautiful she has a red dress and my dad looked very handsome.

We went to the lobby and ordered an Uber. The Uber arrived and in that moment I remembered the accident, I looked at Chris and felt safe and just got in. We arrived at the restaurant and there was this beautiful sunset, we where all leaving L.A. tomorrow so we where going to try and make this a special night. We sat down and ordered drinks.

-"how are you Lily? How was the funeral?" My dad asked us both.

-"It was beautiful." Chris told him.

-"yeah, it was nice." I said.

My parents knew that this night was meant for me to not remember my friends and the accident, they ordered more drinks and my dad started telling us some of his new jokes, They weren't bad.

We ate and had an amazing night, but I started to feel tired and I asked them if we could leave. Chris ordered the check, he paid and we went back to the hotel.
