Chapter Sixteen: “Wedding Day”

Wedding day had arrived! I couldn't feel happier. My friends and makeup artist were arriving at Chris's house to get me ready. I thought about the moment I would walk down the aisle, I got nervous every time. I wanted to see Chris but we knew it would be bad luck, so I just texted him saying that I love him.

We let the front door unlocked for everyone that was arriving to help us. Veronica finally arrived and the makeup artist as well, Veronica is not making my makeup today because she thought she was going to mess it up, but I still knew she wouldn't. I saw Chris's friend David go pass the door and he said, "you look beautiful Lily.", I blushed and thanked him, asking him about how Chris is doing, he said that he is all fine.

Veronica came in with a two cups of rosé champagne, my mom was arriving soon so I asked her to bring another one.

-"Veronica, I can't believe this is happening." I said to her.

-"If it calms you a little, me neither but this is going to be a day you would never forget, trust me. Chris is you soulmate, he is you everything." She said to me, almost making me cry.

I haven't been this nervous since the day my novel got published in L.A. the thought of Chris made me calm down. My mom arrived and she looked beautiful she was wearing a purple dress and her hair was puffier than ever.

-"oh Lily! You looking beautiful darling." My mom said to me.

-"thanks mom." I replied back.

It was time for me to put my dress on, Veronica took it out of the closet it was in and it looked beautiful. I got up and took my robe off, they all helped me put my dress on. As I was putting it on, there was a friend of my mine taking some pictures for me to always remember the moment I put my first wedding dress on.

-"oh my god!" Veronica yelled.

-"what?!" I yelled back at her.

-"oh nothing, you just look so beautiful." She said to me.

My mom started crying and I was laughing so much, I hugged her and said, "thank you for everything."

It was time for us to leave the house and go to the church I'm getting married in. Chris had to leave the house first because it's easier for him to get dressed. I left second and got into a big car I rented for my transportation to the chapel. There was no traffic, it suddenly started to snow, I opened the window and caught a snowflake on my hand. I looked at the snowflake closely, it made me remember the day I got here and Chris was the only one of my friends that received me at the airport, the day he confessed his feeling to me and the day he proposed. Now that I think of it, this all happened so fast, I saw it all like making up all the lost time.

We got to the church quickly, it looked beautiful. The snow had covered the entire sky and ceiling. I was getting ready to put my vail on, I was nervous. I was only minutes away from getting married with the love of my life, I was excited to see how handsome Chris looked. My mom told me that it was time for me to go in, I heard the music playing, the bells. I looked quickly inside and saw a lot of people, the church was huge inside, all the white roses. I started to walk in everybody looked at me like if I'm the most beautiful woman in the world. There he was, Chris, looking at me nervously. He looked so handsome, his face was read and I was starting to blush in front of everyone. My dad and Sam looked handsome too, I looked at them and smiled.

I couldn't stop staring at Chris and he couldn't stop staring at me. I reached the altar and we grabbed hands, his hands were sweating from nerves. He uncovered me from my vail and said, "I can't believe how beautiful you look." The ceremony had begun and we were getting to our vows.

-"Lily, the love of my life, the person who made me forget everything else for a week. I promise to always love you, protect you and cherish you until death do us apart. I promise to look for you when I need light in the darkness. I promise to make you feel safe no matter in what situation we are in. I promise to take you to a paradise only us both will live and die in. You are the person that makes life come to life." He said to me with his perfect smile.

As I tried not to burst in tears I began to say my vows.

-"Chris, the person that changed my life forever. The person that made me feel loved in moments of need. I promise to cherish you and love you until death breaks us apart. I promise to never doubt in you love towards me and always be the road back home. I promise to light your way everywhere you go for when you get lost, you always find a way back to me. I could be loved by whoever come in my way, but the love that you give to me is something that lightens my everyday. I love you and I always will."
