"I've failed you; I've failed everyone..."

Felling to his knees, his heartaches in sorrow. Unable to hold it in, a flood of tears rushes down his cheeks. He could hear himself whimpering, yet he couldn't hold it anymore. His thoughts and feelings are suddenly caught up into a mess, while a wave of pain came crashing into his heart.

No longer she could bear watching him, she pulls him into an embrace. Letting his head rest on her chest. "You've done so much for me and for this country, and now it's time for you to rest." she comforted. She wishes if only she could make his pain go away. "If only I've done better..." he whimpers.

She chuckles, whipping away the tears on his face. "You had done enough." They both remain in that position in a while. "The moon sure is beautiful tonight," she says while hugging him tightly.

'This doesn't add up...' DeYue says, closing the report as he let out a sign. Looking out the window, the moon illuminates high among the vast skies, with stars circling all around it as if it's an art of nature. 'I thought I'll find you here,' as the door slowly slides open. Upon hearing this, he immediately walks towards the door. Offering his hand, he guides her around the room. 'Still working at this late at night?' she asks.

'Well these cases can't be solved by themselves,' he replies.

Sitting her down, she lifts her hand towards his face. 'What's the matter?' he asks. 'You face, look how tired it is,' she says. Her fingers slowly feeling their way down to his cheeks. 'You should get some sleep,'

'Alright, I will,' he ensures. Grasping her hand with his, he wishes this moment would last forever. The moments where he spends his time with his lover, and not ever concerning his works. 'Tomorrow is the day where you'll meet the emperor right?'

'Thinking about it, it will never fail to stress me out ever so slightly,'

'Don't you worry ok? I'll be right here waiting for your return ok?' she says with a smile. Seeing her smile is enough to melt away the stresses within his heart. Although she may not see the days where he would shed out tears, he wished she knew how much just a smile from her meant to him. He leans towards her forehead, giving her a kiss before fully preparing himself for tomorrow's meeting.
