Liyana slowly regained consciousness, her eyelids fluttering open. The world around her seemed hazy at first, but as her vision cleared, she found herself in an unfamiliar place. The room was dimly lit, with antique furniture and bookshelves lining the walls. She sat up, feeling a dull ache in her head.
As her senses sharpened, she realized she was not alone. Roulan Zidane, the vampire with sky-blue eyes, stood nearby, his gaze fixed on her. Liyana's heart skipped a beat as memories of the encounter with the vampires flooded back.
"Where am I?" she asked, her voice trembling.
"You're in my residence," Roulan replied, his voice gentle yet commanding. "You fainted after the encounter with the other vampire. I brought you here to ensure your safety."
Liyana's eyes widened, and she instinctively clutched the bedsheet around her naked body. "What happened to me? And what about Mark?"
Roulan sighed, his expression somber. "Your fiancé, Mark, left you behind without a second thought. It seems he cared more about his own safety than yours. As for you, you were injured, and I had to bring you here to tend to your wounds."
Liyana's heart sank, a mix of disbelief and betrayal washing over her. She had trusted Mark, but his actions revealed a different side of him she had never seen before.
"But why did you help me? Who are you, really?" Liyana questioned, her voice filled with curiosity and a hint of apprehension.
Roulan approached her slowly, his gaze intense. "I am Roulan Zidane, a vampire. And I helped you because, for some reason, I am drawn to you. Your blood, your presence, it stirs something within me."
Liyana's eyes widened in both fascination and fear. She had always been captivated by tales of supernatural creatures, but to encounter a real vampire was beyond her wildest imagination. And to know that he felt a connection to her was both thrilling and unnerving.
"I don't understand. Why me?" she whispered, her voice barely audible.
Roulan's expression softened as he spoke, his voice filled with a mixture of desire and longing. "Liyana, there is something about you that calls to me. Your scent, your essence, it's intoxicating. I've never felt this way before. It's as if you awaken something deep within me—a hunger and a desire I cannot ignore."
Liyana's heart raced as Roulan's words sank in. His confession ignited a whirlwind of emotions within her. The fear of the unknown mingled with an undeniable curiosity and a strange, inexplicable attraction.
"Are you going to... drink my blood?" she asked, her voice trembling.
Roulan's eyes darkened with a mix of desire and restraint. "I won't lie to you, Liyana. The urge to taste your blood is strong, but I will never force you into anything you're not willing to give. I am a vampire, and my nature is to crave blood, but I also possess self-control. Your safety and consent are of utmost importance to me."
Liyana's mind raced, torn between fear and an undeniable intrigue. She couldn't deny the strange allure Roulan held over her, his presence and touch igniting a fire within her unlike anything she had ever experienced.
"I don't know what to make of all this," she admitted, her voice wavering. "But I can't deny there's something between us. I feel
it too."
Roulan's eyes softened, and he approached her slowly, his movements cautious. He reached out and gently cupped her face, his touch sending shivers down her spine. "Liyana, I won't rush you into anything. Take your time to process this. But know that I am here for you, and my feelings for you run deeper than you can imagine."
As Roulan's hand caressed her cheek, Liyana felt a surge of desire coursing through her veins. Her body responded to his touch, aching for more. In that moment, she realized that the connection between them was not just borne out of fear or curiosity—it was something much more profound.
Torn between her previous life and the newfound world of darkness and desire, Liyana knew she stood at a crossroads. The path she chose would forever change her life, but in that moment, surrendering to the unknown seemed irresistible.
