Third person's pov

It was noon and the two brothers were searching for the perfect ring, going to different stores. After visiting 7 stores, they were now in their 8th and were already too exhausted that they decided to find one in this last store no matter what.Blu's lawyer had been trying to reach out to Blu to tell him the turn of events but the phone was left in the car seat forgotten by it's owner.

Dave and Blu were both on their own searching for the ring where Dave's eyes was caught by one specific ring. He could imagine that ring on Aline's finger.



It was an antique blue sapphire ring. He called out to Blu and showed him the ring.

Blu : It will look so good on her. I think you should go for it (smile).

Dave : I think this is it..(Smile)

The seller brought out the ring. It was perfect in both their eyes.

Sales person : sir, what size are you looking for?

Dave : that will be 7.

Sales person : I'm sorry sir. We currently don't have that size in the store. But we have other sapphire rings of that size. Would you like to see?

Dave : I've already made up my mind on this ring. I don't want to go for any other. Sigh!

Blu : can we place an order or something? See, we've already made up our mind on this ring so we really want this no matter what.

sales person : you can place an order but it'll take some time and the price will increase.

Dave : don't worry about the price. So, is it possible?

Sales person : yes sir. But you have to wait for a month.

Dave : a month?

Sales person : yes sir. That's the fastest it can be shipped.

Dave : okay. I would like to place an order.

Sales person : alright sir. I'll process with the order. You can pay after the product has arrived. We'll give you a call at the arrival of the product. Please fill in your number.

After placing the order, they went back to the car.

Blu : are you okay waiting for a month?

Dave : it's fine. I can wait. Besides, i don't want any other ring than this.

Blu : that's great then. So, are you going to make the proposal privately or with family?

Dave : I don't think she'll be comfortable with family. I really want mom, dad and you to be there but....

Blu : you don't have to consider about our feelings here. It's about you and Aline. Do want you feel best for you two.

Dave : thanks bro. I'll make sure that there will be a recording of the moment. And you have to help me with the preparations..I'm so nervous

Blu : don't be. Everything will be just fine. Andy will be so happy (smile)

Dave : yes, he'll be. Being an only child he has always considered Aline as his own sister though they're just second cousins.

Blu : well now I'm damn tired. Let's head home. I can't wait to hit the bed..(yawn)

Dave : yup. I'm so exhausted too.. Let's head home.

Blu was so tired that he completely forgot about his phone. He slept all his way to home whilst Dave was driving.

They finally reached and Dave nudge Blu.

Dave : Blu, Blu..wake up. We're home.

Blu : emmmm...( rubs his eyes with the back of his hand)

Dave : come on. I'm  sure Mom is worried to death.. (Chuckle)

Blu : I bet she is (chuckle )...( stretches his hand).. I can't believe I slept all through the drive..

As he was about to get out of the car, he realized that his phone was missing.

Blu : Dave, did you see my phone.

Dave : no I didn't. Did you leave it in the store?

Blu : I'm not sure. Can you give it a call?

Dave : sure.

Ring...ring...ring...ring...

Blu : I found it. Maybe it dropped from my pocket. It was underneath my seat.

As Blu unlocked his phone, he saw 23 missed calls. All 16 from his mom, 2 from Andy and 5 from his lawyer. He was sure that the two of them were going to hear an earful from his mom.

He could understand the calls from his mom and Andy but he was confused as to why his lawyer has called him several times.

Dave : let's go. Let's have the cook make something for us and then you can rest.

Blu : emm... I'll be back in a minute. You go ahead.

Dave : okay.

Dave went ahead and had his earful from his mom's nagging. While Blu was still outside in the phone with his lawyer.

Blu : sorry, I was busy and didn't notice your call.

Lawyer : no problem, Mr Anderson.

Blu : so, when should I expect the process to complete?

While saying this, though he sounded tough he was breaking from the inside. It's going to end, there won't be anything that links him to Oliver.

Lawyer : hemm..actually the thing is that I didn't get the papers..

Blu : what do you mean ?

Lawyer : Mr Smith didn't sign the papers. He said that he won't be signing untill he meets up with you.

Blu : 'what is going on in his mind?  Why does he want to meet up with me?'....okay, thank you for your effort I'll get back to you about the papers later.

Lawyer : okay. Well untill then.

Blu : yeah.

Beep... Beep...

Blu : 'how should I say this to Dave. He will be furious.. Sigh!...

Blu entered and he was stared at by everyone.

Dave : what took you so very?

Blu : '....'

Blu's mom : why are you silent?Are you sick? I made a mistake, i shouldn't have send you to pick Dave from airport. You look so tired and weak.

Blu : I'm fine mom( chuckle) you're overreacting....emmm..actually the lawyer called.

Dave : so, when is he going to complete the process? (focusing on his food)

Blu : well...emmm...he didn't get the papers. Oliver didn't sign the papers.

Dave : ( stops eating and lift up his head) ....what is it that he wants?

Blu :  ( fidgeting) he  wants to meet up with me....

Dave : no. You won't meet up with him.

The atmosphere in the room suddenly became very tense and silent.

Blu : Dave...it's okay. It won't take long. I'll just have a quick talk and be done with it.

Dave : then I'll come with you.

Blu : you don't have to. I'll be fine .

Dave : Blu ( eyebrows knitted )

Blu : emm..okay.

Blu's mom : ahh...come on now, have this . I made your favorite prawn soup.

Blu : smile ~

After having his prawn soup, he headed to his room. Took a shower and put on his pjs.

Blu : ' i think I should call him. Sigh. '

Ring...ring...ring..

Blu : hello..

Oliver : yes, I was waiting for your call(smile)
