Chapter three: Getting Ready

Three days past and it's The day! I got ready really quickly as I run to Wren room.

"Wake up Violet! It's the day!" I shouted

Wren groaned as Maxie ask, "What's all the shouting about?"

"Maxie it's the say of The Chosen." I smile brightly. Maxie run to his room and gets ready. Wren was still in his bed, "May I sleep in for five more minutes Gold.." Wren yawns

"Wren you have been wanting this since Maddie left. Get your ass out of bed."

"Fine jezz miss bossy pants." Wren sighs closing his door. I went downstairs eating some walnuts waiting for them. Maxie walks down the stairs with a suitcase.

"I'm ready." He said put the suitcase next to the sofa.

"Umm..Maxie you know if we get pick we have time to pack up." I gave him the face

"I know but I always like to be prepared." Maxie explains. As he does Wren walk downstairs and into the kitchen getting some water.

I sighed, "I know.."

"So what's going on?" Wren ask confused as he drinking his water. Maxie and I shrugs, "Okay...when does it start?" Wren ask again.

"I think in an hour or two?" Maxie answer his question

Wren nods and grabs a book from the coffee table, "then I will be here then."

"Alright then, I gonna to go food shopping for a bit." I said.

"We got food." Maxie says

"We don't, walnuts are not food." I explained

"Yes they are Lavender." Maxie said as he was eating walnuts. I shake my head.

I went food shopping but, I felt nervous. I mean I always do because I always get comments about how I look. It's suck..a lot and people say stuff about my parents leaving us. I enter the grocery store seeing no one.

"That's strange but good." I thought. I just quickly got what I needed before someone saw me. I was humming softly to a lullaby my father used sing to me. It's crazy how I remember the melody.

Twenty minutes went by and still no one went shopping, I payed for the food and head out. "Wow I did it..I mean no one was there but I felt fine." I said to myself.

Wren look at his watch, "It's almost time Max." He shouts

"It's not we have at least twenty five minutes to go. Plus we have to wait until Lavender gets back." Maxie shouts back. So they just waited for her to get back
