Hostage

I wake up on a cold hard ground floor with a chain around my ankle. My head is throbbing with severe pain. I sit up quickly and look around at my surroundings. There's bars where the light is shining through. I see a door and its open a little, I get up and walk towards the door feeling hope crossing through me that I might get out. But when I'm almost near the door the chain yanks my ankle and I stumble a little. Hope drowns out of me and I go back to the corner and sit down and tuck my knees in to keep me warm. I hear the door creak open and turn my head a little. The same black hooded figure steps into the room and looks at me with its red hungry eyes.

"Ahh, glad to see you awake." The figure said, "How about I reveal myself to you."

    The figure removes its hood and I see a man that looks oddly like Oscar. He must have read my thoughts because he says,

"If you're wondering why I look like your 'boyfriend', it's because I'm his brother, Marco." 

I start, "Why did you kidnap me? Is it because I have a powerful-"

"No, no, no….. It's because I'm making you my vampire bride." He said.

    I sit there wide eyed. Vampire? Bride? Am I a vampire? Last time I checked I didn't have fangs or pale soft skin, not even red eyes! I realize if Marco is a vampire that must mean.....

"Wait is Oscar a vampire?" I ask looking up to the now blue eyes Marco had.

"Yes he is….. And I guess he fell in love with another one of his kind." He says looking me dead straight into the eye.

"What do you mean? I'm not a vampire." I say.

"Oh you clearly are, you just have human-like features." He says twitching his mouth into a grin, "Unfortunately, I want you all to myself…."

"I don't like you and I will never in my life love you… I love Oscar, and if it takes him months to find me I will wait." I tell him, "Even if it means waiting my whole life for him to find me."

"Blah, blah blah. Look I don't care about your relationship with my brother, but if you are not going to learn to love me I guess you are held hostage until you do." He said, and with that he swept through the door and slammed it shut.

    I see him cross my prison and hear him climb up the stairs. I turn to face the wall and think of how Oscar and I could have been vampires. Well of course Oscar has a brother that's a vampire so I guess I know why he's a vampire. It's pretty obvious. Then there's me. Marco said I was a vampire but have human-like features. I mean, I am the fastest girl in my school, I can hear things faster than others don't, but I don't see myself as a vampire. I lay on the floor and close my eyes. I guess I'm just going to have to wait for Oscar to come get me.
