The wolf

It was getting darker and John decided that he must go home. Although he felt as if he should take care of the boys so he asked them again. They were quiet for a few minutes then told him that they would go back with him. A strange feeling of relief came over John when they said that. They were walking through the forest again but this time it seemed weird. The air was cold in the forest and something felt off. Even the boys got the strange feeling as they were walking. John stopped and looked around but saw nothing weird and out of the ordinary. So they started walking again. They heard someone whistling. John thought it was one of the boys but it wasnt so that gave them chills. After they heard the whistle they continued walking only slightly faster. The whistling became louder and seemed to get closer. They started running now just so they could maybe outrun whatever was making the whistle noises. As they were running John tripped over a stone. He tried getting up very quickly. Then just as he stood up the boys faces looked pale and they were looking at John but...it seemed as if they were looking at what was behind him. John just took a quick look from the corner of his eye. He then quickly understood why the boys looked scared. He didnt know if he should move away slowly or just wait until it left. He was scared as what was behind him was something that looked tall but all they could see were its white long teeth and its eyes. The boys tried walking away very slowly but one of them stepped on a branch. "Run!" said John. They started running and the thing also started running. When John looked back he saw that it went down on all fours and growling. It seemed like it turned into some type wolf thing. They were never so scared in their life and they ran so fast. They didnt even stop to look behind them. They finally reached John's house and they ran into it so fast. As they went in they locked the door behind them. Just as they locked it the thing came clawing at their door. This noise woke Kasandra up and she was confused as to why they were blocking the door. John tried to explain to her but he was so out of breathe that he could barely speak. So Kasandra didn't understand. She looked from the window and saw something that looked like a wolf. She now understood what John was trying to say. She was helping them block the door so that thing doesnt come into their house. They were blocking the door for about forty minutes. After the forty minutes the monster-wolf-thingy left and they didnt see it again that night. The boys and John gave a sigh of relief and sat down just to process what thing that was. Kasandra said it must have been one of the creatures that escaped. John was very confused because he didnt recognise that one. It must have been the one that they were working on in the lab. He then realised that not all the monsters will be the same and that this little mission of theirs will become even more difficult.
