Chapter 45 : Meeting a demon (2)

Embra drugged the tied up demon woman to a clearing in the forest and throw her out. He has been traveling at his top speed. So, the demon has not the chance to get away but, now that she got thrown on the ground, the demon tries to get out. Embra, who has already foreseen that with the advanced Observation Haki, pulls out an iron pole from the inventory.

As soon as his feet hit the ground, he flashes towards the demon who is still struggling with the ropes and nailed her with the pole that has its edges sharpened by him to use in the situation where Juvenile throw is necessary. Besides the sharpened poles, he also has many modern weapons used by assassins and spies. He was in that line of jobs before. So, he has weapons ready in the inventory to use in every kind of situations he can think of.

The demon's scream loudly and even curse Embra but, Embra walks calmly around the demon while holding another pole already coated with haki. After checking the surrounding with his advanced observation Haki that has now a 400-meter range, Embra confirms that there are no eyes looking at them now. He crouches near the demon's head and ties a small cloth around her eyes. To be sure that the demon cannot see him, Embra pours ink on the clothes, and only after that, he takes off the mask covering his face.

"Whoo. It was quite hard to breathe in these clothes, isn't it? Sorry but, I would have to close your eyes because I don't know whether some other nasty demon will be looking at me through your eyes. Oh and, you can forget about destroying the ropes. They are Nylon ropes." (Embra)

"What the heck are you talking about, you damn kid. I will kill you. I will k-" (Chen)

Embra replies calmly while the demon is trying to break apart her body from the poles nailing her to the ground. Opening the inventory, Embra brings out a syringe that is already loaded with a kind of liquid and inject it directly on the side of the demon's head.

"Yes. Yes. I know. But, for now, let's start from the introduction... My name is Chang Yin. And, from now on, I will be spending time with you. So, please take care of me." (Embra)

"What kind of nonsense you are on? Che, Why can't I movethes pobarrrly *muffling voices* ." (Chen)

In the middle of cursing Embra, the demon's voice becomes muffled and she realizes that she can no longer move, much less speak. The demon becomes confused and for the first time since she meets Embra, she feels fear.

"Oya, are you feeling okay? Hm. Guess not. You see, that liquid, I inject you with is a snake poison. There was a dangerous snake in the forest I live you see? So, I caught it, extract its poison, and make it stronger by combining other nerve-numbing agents like paralysis agents, Oh right. I have to record the time. How silly of me." (Embra)

Saying so, Embra brought out a timer from the inventory and start it. And, together with it, he also brought out a solar panel and a light bulb, the size of a melon. After wearing a glass that will cover his eyes, he turns on the light bulb. The light bulb in Embra's hand is one of the weapons Embra comes up with during his stay in the forest, to deal with the demons. He started preparing the weapons after finding out that he could not get a nichirin blade from the shop.

The light bulb is the device for artificial sunlight that is available in the shop because he has one in his house. The light bulb comes with its own solar panel which absorbs sunlight in the daylight for the bulb to shine artificial sunlight in the night.

Embra cut the demon's shoulder with the sharp edge of the pole in his hand and shine the bulb near the wound. The wounds are healing much slower than the time when they were fighting and Embra write it in his notes.

"I see. the regenerating rate is becoming slower. Is it because of the poison? The poison has *** and ***. So, they numb the nerve system but, did the poison also lower the cell regenerating rate? Eve, what is your take?" (Embra)

"Oya... I see. So, her body is still resisting, huh? Humu... Let's inject the poison on her limbs. I will cut the head off and question it for a bit. You just focus on researching the body. I will leave the camera here." (Embra)

Saying that Embra brought out five-camera stands from the inventory and leave it at five sides of the demon's body. The cameras are actually robots with arms that Embra tried to program artificial intelligence but, failed. They are collecting dust in the garage room of his penthouse, however, they still have a use because Eve can control the camera and get information from them through the bio-electricity is a living being's body. In this case, Eve uses Embra's body which has a high affinity in lightning.

Embra cut off the demon's head again using his sword and hold the head using the pole that is impaled through her forehead just to nail it again through a nearby tree. Coming this far, the demon is trying everything in her arsenal to escape from Embra who is 'very dangerous' in her mind. She regrows arms from the cut section of her neck together with her hair growing but, Embra cut them all for he has already foresee with the advanced Observation Haki.

"Che. Che. Che. I am handling you gently through. Why are you trying to escape? Don't worry, I just have a few questions, beautiful madam... How many humans have you eaten? How long does it take for you to digest one human? How many demons are there in this region? Where is your headquarter? Is there a leader? Is there a hierarchy among demons? What rank are you?

Come on... I have many many questions I want to know. The night is still young and Morning is still far, Madam. Why don't you cooperate with me, so, we can finish quickly? Hmm? What do you say? *Joker smile*" (Embra)

The demon cannot see for her eyes are closed with an ink socked cloth but, she can feel the madness in Embra's voice and her fear amplify more than before. She knows that she cannot escape from this 'wolf in sheepskin' called 'Chang Yu'. Her fighting spirit becomes to crumble because whatever she does, whether she grows her hair or hands, she will be cut.

Moreover, her body cannot move as she wants too because the poles are nailing her in the ground and there is also a huge amount of paralysis poison in her body that is strong even for her demon body to fight back.

So, the demon woman, Chen, answers the questions of Embra obediently. From time to time, Embra uses different poisons on the demon's body before the previous effect disappears and increase the numbers of light bulb to six. During the questioning, as soon as Embra perceived that the demon is lying, he would either gouge out her eyeball and fill the wound with N2 liquid or he would just cut the upper half of the head with his sword. His bad side is completely displayed and Embra who is engrossed in learning about the demons forget for a moment that there are some watching him.

At a huge palace far, far away from the world Embra is in, Keinnayi and Sethar are looking at Embra extracting information from the demon woman, on the screen built into the wall. Seeing Embra's bad side, Keinnayi sighs softly. Sethar who is sitting beside her lean in to ask but, her voice sounds a little bit hesitant,

"Sister Dewei.., are you alright?" (Sethar)

"Yes. I am alright. I am just thinking of ways to change Embra." (Keinnayi)

Sethar is shocked to hear that and she asks interestingly,

"Change him? How so?" (Sethar)

Keinnayi smiles warmly and looks at Embra on the screen who is taking notes in the book.

"My dear sister, you know I love Embra, right?" (Keinnayi)

"Yes." (Sethar)

"I love him not because of his good side alone... I have read all of his memory in entirety. I know everything he has done in his life and every bad thing he has done but, even so, I love him for who he is. And, I know the cause that changed him into this. So, as a woman who loves him, it is my duty to make him lose that 'bad' side of him and for that, I am thinking of ways.

Of course, I will love him and make him lose that side of him when I become his wife but, I want to try changing him slowly right now so that he uses that side of him less. Currently, I am only capable of that." (Keinnayi)

"... I see... if Sister wish so. Please tell me anything that I can help with." (Sethar)

"Thank you. *smile*" (Keinnayi)

Sethar nods to Keinnayi who is smiling warmly at her. Soon, Keinnayi closes her eyes to think of ways so that Embra does not use his 'bad' side and become more 'Evil'. She regards it as her duty as a woman who loves her man with all she has. If possible, she wants to stay by Embra's side and embrace him with love and affection so that he loses his bad side but, she cannot do that. Nonetheless, she does not intend to given up easily and try her best to think of ways to make Embra use that side of him less.
