Chapter 52 : The Last Trial

Embra stands upright proudly while keeping his hands behind his back. He will his Haoshouku haki to create a platform for him which is created at once. Standing on the golden platform, Embra closes his eyes to thinks of his life again. He tries to think of his earliest memories and starting from there, he recalls his memories till his death.

After evaluating his life again, he opens his eyes which seems to show his indomitable willpower. With haoshouku Haki laced over his voice, he speaks softly but it reverberated through the darkness.

" I have conquered seven sins.

I have control over my own desires and emotions now.

If conquering sins is not enough then, I will also create my own virtues that will oppose my sins if they ever happen to raise against me.

I shall be humble in front of those I acknowledge and respect.

I shall be merciful to those who deserve it.

I shall only use my strength when necessary and forgiving when not.

I shall not betray my love under any circumstances.

I am neither meek nor humble of heart, I am no saint, But I shall not be a mindless fool.

I shall be prudent with my own morals and reason.

I shall be grateful to those who helped me and every debt will be repaid.

I shall be temperance with myself.

I shall be courageous in acting what I think is right. My body, My Soul, My life, My rules, My beliefs, and My wish shall be unchanging and firm.

Walking my own path with my own way, I shall reach godhood and stay beside my love." (Embra)

Embra spoke softly and, together with his words, behind him, a light shines for each of his virtues. Soon nine lights form behind Embra, each representing one virtue, and they begin to shape themselves into the crystal. Embra's aura and Haki bust forth without restraining to envelop the nine crystals and slowly, they come closer to Embra's back. With Haoshouku Haki as a connecting string, the nine crystal takes a shape of a circle and fix themselves inches before Embra's back, successfully forming a halo with nine teeth.

The halo begins to shine the brightest to celebrate the passing of the trail of true-self and the darkness is driven away by its light. In the place of darkness, golden blue lights begin to shine and Embra found himself standing on the golden platform with ancient white clothing. Looking underneath beyond the platform, he sees golden lights, and looking up, he sees blue lights. He smiles knowing that he passed the trial because he can now feel himself get in control again.

Embra feels like he instinctively knows how to return but, he does not return yet and stands on the golden platform to thinks some things.

'... So, I am finally back. The trial gives me such a good thing. I even got a halo behind my back. Haha. I don't know who send me on this trial but, rather than angry with the person responsible, I feel grateful to him or her. My mind becomes clearer than ever. I feel like I was living my whole life under the murky water and now, I feel free and light.

My thoughts that are always running without my consent and my brain that is always calculating, I feel like I have gain control over this now. Having control over my own thoughts, my own emotions, and desire, did I ascended? Monk in the Himalayas called this enlightenment, right? Did I achieved that?' (Embra's thought)

It seems Embra's thoughts are heard by someone because an old man in white clothing appears in front of Embra. Sitting on a big colorful lotus flower that floats in the air, the old man white clothing appears. Embra smiles seeing the old man. He has a hunch that the old man in front of him is the ancient voice who questioned him in the first part of the trial. So, Embra put his hand together in respect and bows.

"Greeting, Esteemed Elder. I am honored to look upon your form." (Embra)

"You are an interesting child, Embra. Even though you have no prior knowledge you passed the trial magnificently. For that, I congratulate you." (The old man)

"Thank you for the praise, Esteemed Elder. I gratefully accept your praise." (Embra)

"Imm. Oh. I have to correct one of your thinkings. The word 'Enlightenment' is a big word with broad meaning. Careful with the usage." (The old man)

"Oh, Esteemed Elder. Please do teach this humble me, your knowledge. I know little to none regarding religious words." (Embra)

"Religious word? Hmm... Well, you are not wrong about 'Enlightenment' being a religious word but, it is also not right. For now, know that the word 'Enlightenment' means 'seeing the truth'. When you simply see things as they are, then you are enlightened. In this trial of true-self, you see yourself as it is. Without minding about 'right' and 'wrong', without minding about 'good' or 'evil', you see yourself as it is.

That can be called enlightened. Being able to control your emotions and thoughts that are naturally occurring, they are the byproduct of your enlightenment. The true enlightenment you gained today is being able to see yourself as it is. You saw the truth of yourself." (The old man)

Embra begins to think of the old man's words. He tries to understand it and try to think further about what those words may mean. Thinking further of the old man's words, Embra learned another thing.

"... I see, seeing things as they are without minding of good and evil ... So, can I interpret your words as - we have to forget about everything we know and see things as they are and that 'Enlightenment' is intelligence without memory in simple term?" (Embra)

The old man smiles at Embra's words and he extended his right hand to Embra. Gentle light begins to shine in the palm of the old man which then, travels to Embra.

"When you are taught one thing, you learned ten things. What a good child. Accept this gift. It is to congratulate you for passing my trial. Let us meet again, if fate wills it, young man" (The old man)

After the lights fall upon Embra, the old man disappears with a flash. Embra bows towards the previous place where the old man was.

"Hmm... Enlightenment, huh? Well, if I have the chance, let's discuss this topic with some monk. For now, let's go back." (Embra)

Putting his hands together, Embra wills to return back to his own body. Lights intensify to shows that Embra's conscious is now returning and while that is happening, Embra thinks about whether how much time has passed in the world he is in or how he should get away in case some people looks at him like an alien or some unknown being because he feels himself that his halo is still shinning behind his back.

In a separate dimension that is created by Keinnayi, Embra wakes up, still with a golden blue halo behind him. Embra looks around and sees that someone is holding his hand. He looks at the person who is holding his hand and before he can look further, he was hugged by someone with blue-haired and white wings on her back. Embra smiles knowing who she is and put his other hand on top of her head before speaking gently,

"I am back." (Embra)

"*sob* Imm... Welcome back." (Keinnayi)

It was just a simple greeting but, Embra truly felt like he is home now. He sits up still being hugged by Keinnayi on the left and looks around to see three goddesses and Sethar standing beside. Sethar nods to him as a form of greeting, to which Embra also nods back smiling.

Embra looks beside and greet the two goddesses, Lashii and Algadore with a simple nod as a form of greeting and addresses them,

"Greeting. I didn't know you were here, Goddess Lashili." (Embra)

"Greeting to you, too. I felt like it was just a moment ago that I reincarnate you. Look at you know. You have magnificently passed the trial of true-self." (Goddess Lashili)

"Haha. I was lucky to figure out. *smile* Oh, Am I right in assuming that you be the goddess of dragon, Algadore? Greeting." (Embra)

"Yes. Long time no see, or not. We just met five years ago, for a moment right? Aiya. You are quite a man to be able to pass the trial of true-self without any prior knowledge." (Algadore)

"haha. I was panicked when thrown at the trial suddenly and was furious with the person responsible but, right now, I feel grateful to whoever put me in the trial...?" (Embra)

Saying that far, Embra glance towards the last woman standing beside Goddess Lashili. Wearing a purple dress, adorned with Jewelries all across it, the woman is more gorgeous than any woman he saw in his dream. But, he only appreciates her beauty and looks at her eyes that are covered by a rune cloth.

Feeling his gaze, Goddess Gaia smiles and gently spoke to him,

"If thou are suspecting of me being the person responsible for putting thee on the trial, thou would be wrong. The person responsible is the god over there. He is the God who governs this world." (Goddess Gaia)

Embra turns towards the direction Goddess Gai points her finger to and sees an old man kneeling towards him. As soon as Embra's gaze falls on the old man, the old man kowtows towards Embra.

"This old man realizes his mistake now. Please forgive me, young man." (The old man)

Embra tilts his heads aside because he has never seen the old man. He could not think of any reason for the god of the world to take this extreme action against him because he has not done anything noteworthy yet.

Seeing the confused face on Embra, Goddess Gaia step forward and create a purple cloud behind each person, except for the old man.

"Let me answer thou confusion. But before we do, Let's have a seat. Keinnayi. How long are thou going to hug that young man for?" (Goddess Gaia)

Keinnayi jolted awake from Goddess Gaia's words and she unwillingly gets away from Embra. she wipes her face with hee hand sleeve and retreats to her own purple cloud while speaking quietly,

"I am sorry, Aunt Gaia. It is just that I miss him so much. I was afraid I might not meet him again." (Keinnayi)

Goddess Gaia smiles and appears beside Keinnayi to put her hand on the girl's head and comfort her.

All the goddesses, Sethar and Embra take a seat on the purple cloth which transforms into any chair the user want. Embra sits on a purple single sofa while Algadore sits on a purple platform in the lotus position and Goddess Lashili sits on a purple sofa with one armrest. Keinnayi obediently sits together with Goddess Gaia because Goddess Gaia is still petting her head.

After the last person, Sethar sits Seiza on a purple platform, Goddess Gaia started to explain things starting from the moment she notices her niece suddenly flies out of heaven in a hurry.
