Chapter 68 : Spirit Realm

The meeting continues while the old god of the world is writing decrees about the changing of Land Ownership to Embra. Well, it will be the last time he will be able to use his authority. So, he is writing his best. While he is writing that, Goddess Gaia nods towards Goddess Lashili who also nods back. Embra who notices the exchange between the two focuses his attention on them not to miss any detail.

Goddess Gaia extends her hand towards Embra and soon, a pedestal made from beautiful crystal appears. While Embra is admiring the crystal pedestal, Goddess Lashili hands a shining orange ball to Keinnayi. Keinnayi immediately notices the nature of the orange ball and immediately receives the ball from Goddess Keinnayi. Goddess Lashili says to Keinnayi while pointing towards the crystal pedestal in front of Embra.

"Keinnayi girl, I hope you know what it is even without me telling, right? It is for Embra from the Heaven court. Use it." (Lashili)

"!! Hai. Of course." (Keinnayi)

Goddess Gaia explains to Embra who looks confused. Embra listens to Goddess Gaia while occasionally glancing at Keinnayi in interest who is merging the orange ball with her blue crystal necklace.

"Thou still remember what I said earlier about the Heaven court giving thou some help in managing thy land, right?" (Gaia)

"Ah. Yes. I remember. I was about to ask about that, actually." (Embra)

"Imm. I know. That's why I gave the pedestal. The pedestal in front of thou will help thee manage thy land. The heaven court giving thou this is extremely generous of them. It seems they are sincerely impressed with the passing of the trial imposed by God Brahma himself, without prior knowledge. So, they let thou be the land god of all thine land But, as thou is not a god yet, thou will not be able to use or collect divinity.

The pedestal will help thou collect it. With the divinity thou collected on the pedestal, thou can manage the land as thou wish. Land condition, weather condition, and even people's luck and fortune, thou will be able to control them as a land god. And, when thou become a god, thou can collect all the divinity in the pedestal by thyself." (Gaia)

'Oi. Oi. This is starting to sound like a certain game. Collect Divinity from people?' (Embra's thought)

Embra thinks about Goddess Gaia's words and carefully tries to interpret them as best as he can and after selecting words that he doesn't quite understand, Embra asks Goddess Gaia. Meanwhile, Keinnayi is still merging the orange ball with her necklace with the help of Goddess Lashili.

"Goddess Gaia, please explain to me how will I collect divinity from the various lands I own? Are there many pedestals?" (Embra)

"No. There is only one pedestal. Thou have to go to thy lands once and let the pedestal mark the land. Then the pedestal will be able to collect the divinity from the people living on the land and thou will be able to control the land as thou see fit. If I were to give an instance, let it be that thou have now let the pedestal mark the forest in China.

So now, thou will be able to control everything in the forest even if thou are in other parts of the world, Iceland." (Gaia)

"I understand now. Please explain to me about the divinity part, Goddess Gaia." (Embra)

"The divinity is the prayer of people. Every god can receive it as long as the prayers are directed to god. In thine case, the prayer of the people will be collected by the pedestal in thy stead. And, by using the divinity collected on the pedestal, thou will be able to control the crop production, weather condition, and the fortune of people living on thine land.

If thou wishes for it, thou can give a dream to one of the people who live on thy land and talks with them. But, for that, thou needs much divinity. Oh. Looks like it is complete. Look." (Gaia)

While Goddess Gaia is explaining things to Embra, there is a bright light from Keinnayi's direction and after it dims down, a crystal can be seen on Keinnayi's hand. The pentagon crystal is beautiful with myriad colors and there are a lot of words and patterns inscribed inside the crystal. Underneath the crystal, it has its own fire while atop the crystal is a crown floating.

Keinnayi smiles looking at the crystal and even though she is sweating a little. She was about to happily calls Embra but, before she does, Embra appears behind Keinnayi and gently wipe away the sweat on her face. Sethar immediately stands up from her chair and gives it to Embra while she sits on Embra's chair. Embra winks towards Sethar while sitting on her chair.

"My dear is trying so hard. What makes you exert so much effort?" (Embra)

"This, Embra. I shaped it like this to your taste because this will become your symbol. Your symbol as a land god. This will stay with you even after you become a god. Now, Hurry up and drop your blood. A little bit is fine." (Keinnayi)

Embra is surprised at her words but, he does not dwell on it much longer and bite his finger to drop blood on the crystal. Instantly, the crystal turned golden and the crown atop the crystal changes into a blue crown with golden accessories like a queen's crown. The fire underneath the crystal that is making it float also changes into blue fire. The myriad color crystal now looks like a royal crystal that only Kings can possess.

Keinnayi sends the crystal onto Embra's hand who receives it naturally. As soon as the crystal reaches atop Embra's hand Embra feels like he got an extra limb. To test his feeling, Embra tries to make the crystal goes into his hand and make it reappear again. Next, he makes it disappear again and let it out from his chest. Keinnayi laughs seeing Embra playing around with the crystal.

"Someone is having fun! *chuckle* Well, don't be too happy yet, Embra. For you right now, that is just a badge or an ID of Land God. But, after you become a God, this can be served as your weapon." (Keinnayi)

Embra was a little bit disappointed but, he is still playing with the God Symbol because it is a little fun. Seeing Embra playing with his God Symbol, Keinnayi looks warmly at Embra as it is a little rare for her to see this side of Embra. Goddess Lashili sighs seeing them and tell Embra something.

"Embra, you need to know something. Something called the Spirit Realm." (Lashili)

"The Spirit Realm?" (Embra)

"Yes. The spirit realm is a realm that exists in this world long with the physical realm. The two realms actually exist side by side like the two sides of a coin. Either of the realms cannot affect or impact each other unless something big happened. Anyway, what I want to say is, you will be able to go into that realm using that God Symbol. Your Symbol.

After you mark a land with the pedestal, the pedestal will become a door to the spirit realm and with your symbol, you will be able to go to the realm." (Lashili)

Embra stops playing as the matter becomes serious and a little bit complicated. He could not wrap his head around Lashili's words of two realms existing in one world. He had heard about the words 'spirit', 'Hell and Heaven' and 'God' but, he did not learn about them in detail because he was not interested in that 'Imaginary words'.

But, now that he himself is involving with things that he thought as 'imaginary words' in his previous life, so, he decided to learn about them in detail. Goddess Gaia, as benevolent, as she is, explains to Embra with patience.

"Embra. I will explain to thee as simple as possible. Like how humans live on land and breathe air, fishes live in water and brath water, too. A human cannot live in water for unlimited time and a fish cannot live on land for unlimited time either.

The physical Realm and the Spirit Realm are like the two instances I mentioned above. Humans and animals that have physical bodies can live in the physical realm but, souls, ghosts, and spiritual creatures can only live in the Spirit Realm. Among the resident of the Spirit Realm, the beings with intelligence and power to control their own spiritual strength can gain strength and aim for the godhood.

Like humans and fishes, there is a difference between the beings in the physical realm and the spirit realm even though they look like a human. Like how beings in the physical realm live with physical bodies, beings in the spiritual realm live with the spiritual realm and they can only live for a limited amount of time in another realm.

If a being in the physical world were to go to the spiritual realm, he will not survive long, and eventually, his body will break apart by the powers in the spiritual realm. It is the same case if a being from the spirit realm were to go to the physical realm, too.

But Embra, that God Symbol in thy hands will solve that problem for thee. When thou enter the spiritual realm, the symbol will change thine body into a spiritual body that will enable thee to live in the spirit realm like thou have been living in the physical realm. Thine strength, weapons, and everything on thy body will also change and adapt to the spirit realm by the power of the symbol.

But still, thou will have a limited amount of time. Thou may not fully understand things now, but, thou will eventually understand it after going to the spirit realm thyself." (Gaia)

'Whoa... It is a whole new world then... Yes, she is right. I can vaguely understand the two realms but, I cannot still fully grasp the meaning. Well, I will experience it in the future anyway, let's learn it at that time.' (Embra's thought)

It is true that Embra cannot understand all of Goddess Gaia's words but, he remembers each and every word of her because of photographic memory. A few seconds later, a mechanic sound comes from Keinnayi's crystal necklace. Keinnayi was a little bit startled but, she does her job after smiling mischievously at Embra.

"*smile* Don't be too surprised, Embra. .. Administration: Initiate System update." (Keinnayi)
