Woodlands Biome, OverWorld
Dusk
"They're probably still chasing after us, Ceres!" Daniel said.
They are surrounded by short and tall oak trees. With how many there are, it provided somewhat of a temporary hideout. As the sun continued to set on the horizon, the night creatures began to awake.
Bats began flying around from tree to tree, squeaking and chirping. The wolves began to howl as the moon began its ascent, and the brown bears began hunting their prey. After what Ceres and Daniel had been through back there in what remains of OasisVille, this soothed their feelings.
"Daniel," Ceres said from a short distance away. By now, the invisibility potions had long worn off. Ceres and Daniel were both vulnerable to being seen by Henry and HeroBrine. "Come quick. You must see this!"
As Daniel walked over to Ceres, he saw a bright light shining in the surrounding area. It was a portal. But where did the portal lead to? It's craftsmanship was nothing like the Nether Portal or the End Portal for that matter.
No, this portal was made possible by crafting Netherite. The portal itself was a bright blue with a reddish haze mixed in.
"It's a portal," Daniel said.
"A portal indeed. Crafted out of the strongest material known to any blockhead—Netherite," Ceres stated.
"Where do you think it leads to?" Daniel asked.
"Another dimension maybe?" Ceres said, "I hope this isn't one of EnderBrine or HeroBrine's tricks again."
"I have a feeling it's not. Let's see where this goes," Daniel said as he walked up to the portal and walked through it. Ceres stayed behind, hesitant to follow Daniel.
A moment went by. The night creatures could be heard all around Ceres. He was beginning to get worried. Suddenly, Daniels' head appeared, sticking out of the portal.
"C'mon scaredy-cat!" Daniel said, "you have to see what's on the other side. It's beautiful!"
Daniel's head disappeared back in the portal. Ceres stuck out his arm and when he did, Daniels hand popped out of the portal and pulled Ceres through.
"You weren't joking when you said it was beautiful," Ceres said as he gazed at the surrounding lands. A large waterfall was seen in the distance.
There were other blockheads, like Daniel and Ceres, roaming about this land. They looked happy and unaware of what was happening around them.
There are children running around, chasing after one another. They were giggling and laughing. The farmers were tending to their crops. Corn, wheat, tomatoes. You name it. They had it growing.
"Where are we?" Ceres asked.
"Northern Creek Village, silly!" A woman said from behind. She was walking her five cats. They were all on a leash. She had brown hair, a pink shirt, and blue pants. But no shoes. She frowned as she realized something.
"Hey….wait a second," she said, "I've never seen you two around here before. Where are you guys from?"
"From the OverWorld," Ceres responded in a confused tone. "Like this world."
"Well y'all aren't on the OverWorld no more," she said, "welcome to SkyWorld. This is my home. Northern Creek Village. It's a beautiful village ain't it?"
"Very beautiful," Daniel mentioned. "My name is Daniel. This is my friend Ceres."
The woman sighed and giggled briefly. She covered her mouth with her hand. "Oh golly. Where are my manners? My name is Amelia."
"It's nice to meet you Amelia," Daniel said with a smile on his face. "Now I have some questions to ask you if that's alright?"
Amelia smiled and nodded her head. "Of course. I'll try and answer them as best as I can."
"How long has SkyWorld existed?" Daniel asked.
"To be honest, I don't know how to answer that," Amelia mentioned, "although, some folks around here have their own theories as to how SkyWorld came to be."
"Interesting," Daniel and Ceres said in perfect unison as they both, again, examined their new surroundings.
One thing stood out to the both of them. Roaming about were cats and dogs. They didn't have an owner. Daniel frowned as he gazed at the homeless animals.
"Why are there so many stray animals Amelia?" Daniel questioned.
"Ahh, the forgotten pets," Amelia said in an unsettling and sad tone. "No one knows why these poor animals are homeless."
"Poor things," Daniel said as he moped.
"I know how you feel," Amelia mentioned, "I, too, feel bad. That's why I'm considered a cat hoarder."
"Because you have a lot of cats I'm guessing?" Ceres said as he looked down at the ground. All five of Amelia's were sitting down.
"They're cute aren't they?" Amelia asked.
"Indeed they are," Ceres responded.
"Anyways," Amelia said, "would you gentlemen like a tour of the village?"
Ceres and Daniel acknowledged her and nodded their heads. "Yes please," Daniel answered.
Mesa Biome, OverWorld
Night
"The Forbidden Cave should be right around here," Petra said as she occasionally glanced down at the compass in her hand. "Be on the lookout for a cave entrance."
Petra and Merlin managed to steal the book and the crystal back from NetherBrine and EnderBrine.
The large and tall Mesa trees towered over Merlin and Petra. As they continued to make headway towards the Forbidden Cave, Merlin had managed to spot out the Forbidden Cave's entrance.
"Right over there!" Merlin said as he pointed in the direction to where the cave was located. The entrance was almost well hidden by trees and bushes. But the light coming from inside the cave, gave its exact location away.
"You two better stop right there!" EnderBrine said as him and NetherBrine appeared out of thin air. EnderBrine was holding a black egg with orange and yellow dots on its shell. NetherBrine was holding a crossbow with a flaming arrow. He had his crossbow fixated on Merlin.
"Or else what?" Petra asked in a cocky and rude attitude.
"Your lives will end tonight!" EnderBrine threatened Petra and Merlin. "If I throw this egg, it'll spawn my most dangerous friend yet."
Merlin rolled his eyes and sighed a heavy sigh. "And what's that? A sheep? Oh how that's so terrifying. I'm so scared!"
EnderBrine frowned. "This is no ordinary sheep, Merlin!" EnderBrine mentioned, "this here is a Lava Golem."
Merlin gulped, extinguishing the cocky attitude almost instantly. Inside, he was beginning to panic.
"Are you scared now Merlin?" NetherBrine asked as he laughed evilly.
"Not one tiny bit. Your threats don't scare me or Petra!" Merlin said as he glanced down at Petra's hand. She was holding a potion in her hand. No, it wasn't an ordinary potion. This potion was special.
"Don't you dare!" NetherBrine snapped angrily as he readjusted his crossbow stance. "I'll shoot!"
"Ready?" Petra carefully whispered to Merlin as she looked at him. He nodded, and didn't verbally say a single word. Petra then threw the glass bottle down onto the ground.
A large cloud of smoke rose into the air. The smoke was so thick, NetherBrine and EnderBrine couldn't see them. Petra and Merlin were now running as fast as they could towards the cave entrance.
"Darn wizards! I hate them so much! They always have a trick up their sleeves!" EnderBrine said. "I guess it's time I introduce my friend."
EnderBrine raised his arm into the air, swinging it in a downward motion. He threw the egg onto the ground. It smashed open, releasing the biggest, baddest, and dangerous Lava Golem.
The Lava Golem stood almost four blocks high, and was made entirely of lava and solid cobblestone. It's eyes were orange. The golem's entire body was glowing yellow, red, and orange.
"Chase after them! Do not hesitate to kill them!" EnderBrine ordered the Lava Golem to do so.
"Don't look back!" Petra said to Merlin, "keep running!"
"I didn't plan on stopping," Merlin responded.
They ran up to the entrance of the Forbidden Cave. Before entering, Merlin stopped running. As Petra continued forward into the cave, she glanced over her shoulder at him.
"C'mon!" Petra shouted, "we're running out time!"
"No. Go. Get the crystal back to where it's supposed to be. I'll try and buy you some time," Merlin responded as he stood by the entrance to the cave.
"Not without you!" Petra shouted. "This is no time for games, Merlin!"
"Go!" Merlin snapped as he became frustrated with Petra's unwillingness to leave him. "I can handle them!"
Petra sighed heavily. She reached into her inventory and took out both a torch and the crystal of life. After looking at Merlin once more, she turned around and began adventuring deeper into the cave.
"I hope so," Petra said to herself. As she got further into the cave, the entrance slowly began to fade out of sight. All around Petra was darkness. The only light shining was from the torch she had in her hand.
Out of nowhere, Petra stumbled upon a tunnel. Without hesitating, she began running down the long, narrow and dark tunnel.
"We're so close to saving the world," Petra said to herself, "Merlin. Don't fail us now. Do your best and hold them off!"
Once Petra reached the end of the tunnel, she ran into a small room. There was a deactivated beacon in the center of the room.
"Woah," Petra said, "I've never seen a beacon before. Isn't it supposed to be lit up?" She asked herself.
She placed her torch down on the cold, mossy stone floor. She reached into her inventory and grabbed the book out of it.
Flipping through the pages as fast as she could, she stopped on one particular page in the book. On that page, was how to restore power to the beacon and stop Mineaggedon.
After carefully reading through the page of the book, she closed it. She put the book back in her inventory and grabbed her torch from off the ground.
"Oh Goddess of the OverWorld," she said, "let's hope this works."
"It will," Merlin said as he suddenly appeared behind Petra. She jumped because he scared her. She almost dropped the fragile crystal.
"Merlin?" Petra said, not expecting him to be right behind her, "how did you buy us some time? I thought you were holding them off?"
"I blocked the entrance with obsidian. It won't take them long to get through. So let's hurry," he said as he encouraged Petra to finally finish the mission.
"Okay," Petra said as she set the crystal back onto the deactivated beacon. Once she did that, the beacon came back to life. It's light blinded Petra and Merlin. But now that the crystal is back safely, and out of the bad guys' hands, she can calm herself down.
The only exit out of the room was blocked by bedrock. The entire room around them began turning from stone to bedrock. Unbreakable, no one would get in or out.
Just as they thought they would be trapped in the room for all eternity, another exit appeared to their left.
"Look," Petra said as she pointed out the new exit. "A way out! Let's go!"
And so, Merlin and Petra exited the room. Walking down the dark and mysterious tunnel, the doorway they walked through was now blocked by bedrock.
"We did it!" Petra said enthusiastically. "We saved the OverWorld from extinction!"
"Don't get too excited nomeray, Petra," Merlin said, "we're not out of danger yet and neither is the OverWorld. At long as HeroBrine, EnderBrine, and NetherBrine are here, we're still in danger."
"I'm sure Daniel and Ceres are building an army as we speak. We definitely toppled their plan to destroy our world. Now all we need to do is…...banish them back to their dimensions. Then peace among the OverWorld will exist once more."
"That plan sounds easier said than done," Merlin mentioned.
"We'll find a way," Petra mentioned, "we always have and always will."
