  ~My Second Chance Mate is the hybrid king~

         ~chapter three~

              °Meeting the hybrid king°

    Soren

     "You have to let them take care of her bro." Lex said sitting beside me pulling Carolyn on his lap.

"No way! I don't want anyone to touch her!"I shouted holding Hayley closer to me.

"Soren, please let them take care of her , she is all I have left." Carolyn said tears filling her eyes.

"Ok...but I stay with her." I said.

  I got up and walked in the room , placing Hayley on the bed.

They attached some IVs to her arms and injected her with something.

         Two hours. Two hours!

" Why won't she wake up?!"I asked punching the wall repeatedly.

"She'll wake up soon Your majesty." The doctor said.

  I sighed and walked over to my mate. I held her pale cold hands in mine and placed a tender kiss on each of them.

"Wake up baby, please." I said laying my head on her chest.

Hayley

    I felt something on my chest , something warm. I'm trying to open my eyes for almost eighty tries and this time they opened.

  This place is extremely bright , applying pressure to my poor pupils.

I reopened them and looked down at my chest and saw the jet black hair with streaks of white and knew that my mate, my real mate, Soren is here with me.

"S - Soren ." I said.

   Immediately his head shot up and his eyes lit up like flames once he saw me.

"Pumpkin? You are a - " he began.

Carolyn burst through the door and jumped on the bed , pulling me in to a tight hug.

"You scared me." she said kissing my hair.

"I didn't mean to."I said hugging her back.

  Two growls brought us a part quickly.

"Hi Hayley." Lex said.

"Hey Lex."I greeted sitting up.

   I looked at my mate and gave him a small smile.

"You know I yelled at all these people not to touch you or anything." Soren said looking at me lovingly.

"He really did, the poor workers were shaking in fear and fright." Carolyn said while Lex nodded.

"That's .... sweet." I said holding Soren 's  hand.

"Really?" They asked looking at me.

"Yes." I replied.

  We arrived home , sometime later and was immediately interigated by the senior pack members.

"Where were you?"

"Do you have any idea what you just did?"

"How can you live with yourselves after doing this?"

" Somewhere safe. Yes. I was getting medical help because of an allergic reaction." I replied walking up to my room.

  " Soren was yelling at everyone to stay away from you and was kissing all your face and saying sweet words to you." Carolyn said closing the door.

"And I missed that? Curse you stupid pickle allergie !" I yelled falling back on my bed.

We are meeting the hybrid king in thirty minutes! Don't be late! The alpha yelled in mind link.

We got up and started to get dressed for the meeting.

I put on a black dress that reaches above my knees and Carolyn ' s cream jacket.

I put on a pair of black heels and pulled my hair in a messy bun.

"Let's take our little time to get there." Carolyn said.

"Course sis." I said linking arms with her.

  * Forty minutes later *

     We opened the door and stood there shocked.

Soren looked up from the file he was reading and looked at us.

He's the hybrid king!

We walked over to our seats and sat down not missing the glared from our pack members.

Lex looked up also and looked at Carolyn before refocusing on the file.

"So you want more pack members?" Soren asked in his business voice.

"Yes." The alpha replied.

"Why?" Lex asked.

"To secure the border in case of rouges." The Luna replied.

"But we already have seventy - two men securing the border." I said.

"Yeah , we don't need no more." Carolyn said.

"Shut up." The alpha and Luna said to us.

Soren straightened up and gave them a cold look as did Lex.

How close do you think they are to loosing it? Carolyn asked me in our private link.

39 seconds. I replied.

"What is the real reason behind this meeting?" Soren asked.

"We  just wanted a sample of your blood to run a few tests." Gwendolyn replied.

"And you thought that I would give you my blood freely?" Soren asked raising his right eyebrow.

"Well...yes." the alpha replied.

I'm outta here. I said to Carolyn in our private link.

  I got up from my chair and exited the room.

      " UNTIL THE NIGHT FALLS , EVERYONE, WE STAY TOGETHER 'TIL THE BATTLE IS DONE! WATCH YOUR BA - "

"Girl shut it!" Carolyn yelled.

"How rude?" I murmured to myself.

"Yo, did you see the cold stares they were getting?" She asked sitting on my bed.

"Yaasss , I was there." I replied leaning on my pillow.

"Brittney was starting at your man like he was a piece of stake ." She said.

"After I left?" She nodded, " I'mma have to visit Brittney later."

"Oh and Alec was starting at you long and lustful." She said.

"I think Soren noticed."I said.

"Yup they did." She said.

"So flower - " I began.

"Only Lex calls me that , pumpkin." She said.

I hit her with my other pillow and that's how we ended up in a full blown pillow fight; feathers and stuffing is everywhere.

"Okay , okay, I'm sorry." She said panting.

"Yeah , me too." I said.

   "Hey Brittney." I said sitting on the stool to her right as Carolyn took the left one.

"What do you want mutt?" She asked smugly.

"Careful with the insults Britt or I might just have to use my bat." I warned.

"A baseball bat?" She asked raising her eyebrows.

"Tutt. Tutt. Tutt." I said taking up the metal bat with spikes all around it.

"You have 5 seconds to run." Carolyn said to her.

She immediately got up and ran into the front yard where Alec , his friends and Soren and his friends are.

They all looked at us intrigued.

" Let me get her first." Carolyn said shifting.

Brittney is running around the front yard in circles.

" Britt?! My turn!" I shouted walking over to them slowly.

"WHAT DID I DO?!" She screamed running away from Carolyn's wolf, Lisia .

"DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT!"I yelled.

Lisia came to a stop as Brittney hid behind Soren gripping his biceps.

" What's going to happen now?" She asked me.

" Now Britt, the queen wants to play." I said dropping the bat and sprinting over to her.

She jumped on Soren 's back and he looks like he wants to kill her.

"Hayley." Carolyn called throwing me my chain.

" Get over here!" I yelled wrapping my chain around her hand.

I yanked her off my mate and pulled her in the center of the lawn.

"Carolyn, get the bucket." I said.

   I can feel Carolyn smirking as she walked around to the backyard to get the bucket filled with spiders.

"ENOUGH!!" The alpha yelled coming out the house.

"But I was just going to throw the spiders on - " I began.

"Basement now." The luna said.

"But she - "I started again.

"Now!" The alpha barked.

"But she was - " I started for the third time.

"You are all invited to watch." The Luna said to everyone.

     I'm chained to the cold concrete walls of the basement in only my undergarments with everyone watching.

Soren was trying his best not to loose it but was starting to fail.

Carolyn stood close beside Lex who is holding her back from doing anything.

" Heat it up." The alpha said, giving the Luna a spare.

She placed it in the fire , wearing gloves of course, and gave it to him.

  He walked up to me slowly and placed the spare on my ribs.

I didn't scream or wince because this is nothing compared to watching your parents die in front of you.

However , when the Luna brought a scorpion up to my neck I trashed around.

"Scared?" She asked me.

"Allergic." I said.

"Even better." She said placing the scorpion on my chest.

I tilted my head back so I don't meet the stares of anyone especially  Carolyn.

Carolyn is like the older sister that I don't have. She always takes care of me , gives me advice and she's my very very best friend.

   Then the alpha hit me with the spare on my ribs hard.

He did it four more times.

"I will get you for this." I told him.

"Like your parents were." He said.

    I would have replied if the scorpion wasn't on my throat.

"I can take a few more hits." I said through gritted teeth.

A few more hits turned out to be more than twenty, I lost count after twenty three.

The luna removed the scorpion and placed it back in the box.

    " Hayley!!" Carolyn screamed running in the cell.

  Soren ran over to me in his vampire speed , I'm guessing, and removed the chains from my hands and feet.

He catch me as I was about to hit the ground and pulled me into his lap.

" I'll kill them pumpkin, Everyone of them starting with the alpha." Soren said rocking me back and forth.

"Here." Alec said handing me my jacket.

"Get away from her now." Soren said dangerously calm while glaring at Alec's friends.

"Don't tell me what to do!" He shouted at Soren.

"Look kid , you are supposed to be a beta so you are strong but if you want to stay alive to even graduate highschool, you would listen to the king because he will kill you." One of Soren's friends said.

       Bandages are wrapped around my chest and waist.

Soren refused to leave me here even though I told him that Carolyn will be here with me.

He sent Lex home with the others and stayed with me.

Carolyn actually went with Lex Because she wanted to give us some ' alone time '.

Soren wrapped his hand loosely around my waist and used the other hand to play with my hair.

"  I wanted to rip them apart baby, limb from limb." Soren said.

"I'm okay." I reassured him.

"You have bandages around your chest and waist pumpkin. You are not okay." He said.

" But my mate is here with me." I said to him.

"Yes I am." He said.

         "Don't leave me Hayley.....I'll kill you if you touch her!" Soren yelled turning in his sleep.

"Soren." I whispered shaking him.

"Hayley! No....! I couldn't save you..." He said.

"Soren!" I shouted .

      He shot up out of bed and pulled me on his lap hugging me tightly.

"I'm here , I'm okay." I said. I rubbed my hands in his hair and hugged him to my body tightly.

" I had a nightmare, I couldn't save you." He said sobbing in the crook of my neck.

Ffffffrrrtttttt!

    Leave it to me to ruin a moment. Couldn't you have stayed in ?

"Pumpkin did you just - ?" Soren began.

" You're supposed to be crying." I said .

He chuckled at my lame attempt to cover up my release of gas , yup , I farted.

It's not my fault!!

    But the moment is over  much to my disappointment.

  So much for alone time.

We finna went back to bed after that yo.

I was expecting a long hug but I farted so ....no hug for Hayley.

He pulled me against his chest and kissed my temple before falling asleep.
