Chapter 8 - Towards Asheyye! Captain Paimon!

Cannons fired, huge arrows searing through the air, and rifle bullets being shot. The island beach became a battleground for both pirates and shadow minions.

Being land, air, or water. Shadow minions outnumbered and outpowered the pirates. However, the shadow minions didn't kill a single pirate and just use their size and strength to restrain all of them.

"Why aren't they killing us?!" The captain thought while slashing his saber on one of the shadow minions. Yet it just used its large claws to cut the saber in pieces, making the captain felt fear for once in his life. He also noticed that they were coordinated, like how a captain would order his soldiers.

As all of the pirates were struggling to escape from their clutches, the largest shadow wyvern appeared that made them thought it was the leader.

But, they were wrong...

On the top of its head, a man was standing while looking down at them. Wearing an average looking leather armor while using a wooden mask to cover his face.

It's not like Alex is hiding his identity as he knows he will only get exposed soonish because of his aura. For him, wearing a mask while taking it off when talking to his opponent looks cool, according to Paimon as well.

All the pirates look up to the man with terrified expressions. Most of them know there are summoners in this world but to control this many, is an impossible feat if you are not blessed by some Gods, that is what they believe in.

Alex jump off from the head of the Apex Zinogre and landed on the sand with elegance. Paimon also followed and immediately landed on his shoulders and wrapped his legs around his neck.

"A fairy?"

Fairies are rare in this world and if one of them interacts with someone and mainly very close to that person. Then that means that individual is special and the man in front of them is surely a soon to be a powerhouse, as they haven't heard about him in their years of traveling.

"Are you... Are you the person who wiped this Island?" The captain asked while still being grasped by a Demon Fang. His voice was trembling.

Alex scanned the area for a moment and observed the pirates were caught well by his minions. Then, his gaze landed down on the captain and answered.

"Maybe? Who knows why I'm the only person here. But that is not what I want for now to discuss. I will let you live in one condition."

"What? What do you want?"

"Let me have your ship. Though I can steal it anyway. But I'm a polite person and knows how to ask permission first." He kneeled "May I?"

He may be a pirate but he knows the responsibility of being a captain. He peeked at his crew for a second and glad that they were safe. Especially his son. So, he sighed and nodded his head.

"Not selfish huh. But I need a ship to travel towards the Asheyye continent. Thank you, Captain."

Alex took the captains black hat and wore it, then, he put down his mask to let them see who he was.

The already terrified pirates are now dumbstruck, they haven't seen a man this beautiful, that almost resembles as a woman as well. But they know he's a man because of his voice, nonetheless, it's impossible to believe such beauty existed in this world.

Alex stood up and turned his back towards them while the fairy was happily smiling on top of him, but Alex also felt his neck started to get wet. Nevertheless, the adorable fairy just brushed it away by humming and didn't care what Alex will think of her.

Anyhow, Alex was slightly surprised by how big the ship is. It might be almost made of wood but he knows this must be a good ship for battle.

"Paimon thinks this ship is one of the best ships the Paimon sees. Don't worry about crew members Alex! Paimon can use his powers to control this ship!" Paimon confidently said.

"Thanks, Paimon. You truly are reliable. I'm lucky to meet you back there." Smiled Alex that made the small fairy flustered.

If Paimon can control the ship freely, then that's good news for Alex as he won't have any members to be assigned as of now. He complimented the fairy, earning an adorable giggle from Paimon.

Alex can't rely on his shadow minions if they were human-like, then there might be a chance. But for now, he has the cute fairy to help him as an all-around crew member.

They board the ship and Paimon instantly went to the captain's steering. She took the hat off from Alex without permission as she shouted. "Ahoy! Captain Paimon is on duty!"

Her body once again glowed and the ship started to operate itself. Anchor raised and the sails are set! Alex was having a fun time watching Paimon using her hands as if ordering people and pointing at different areas at the ship to operate itself.

He was truly lucky to be accompanied by a bubbly, adorable, and cute fairy. The past five days were worth getting to know her more.

"Paimon? How many days till we reach Asheyye continent?"

"Paimon estimated about a week! Or if the sea is calm, then we might reach there for three days! But we should dock at the mountainsides to hide our ship and earn the respect of the villagers to spread your name!"

"Then why should I spread my name?"

"To make you famous! To let them know that there is someone stronger and more handsome than those arrogant nobles!"

What Alex is concerned about is when his name will be known to various places, he might meet new enemies but this will also make Alex popular to women, powerful women as well that is seeking partners. So his next goal is earning achievements from different places.

With that, both Alex and Paimon set sail towards Asheyye, also known as the country of a beautiful race. The place where elves are living and nature itself exists.
