Adonna leapt onto an armchair. Lucky looking at her in confusion.
"Donna, no…" Lucky mumbled, shaking her head. Adonna fell forward, keeping her butt in the air. She growled playfully barking nonsense as she went. Before fully laying down. Lucky's mouth opened. "Why do I have to sleep in front of the garage door?"
Lucky looked to said door, it was closed and barricaded by the armchair. Maybe she'd try and grab a bed from one of the bedrooms, but that didn't sound right to her. She'd rather sleep in the open, at least then she'd be able to get away easily.
Besides, she had Adonna with her now. That settled Lucky's nerves. Lucky sat on the floor, throwing her backpack in front of her, unzipping it and reaching her hands in. She pulled out a roll of a bandage. The sun was slowly setting. She had spent the majority of the day out there.
The town seemed pretty safe, and it was full of supplies. Decent stuff that'd last pretty long too. Lucky rolled up her pants. Unlacing her boot and pulling it off, along with the sock on her foot. Her ankle's swelling was going down, it was still an ugly colour though.
Gingerly wrapping the bandage in her hand, she slowly cranked it around her ankle. Adonna watching with intense interest. The German shepherd sat back, turning her head and looking through the window.
She lowered her head and laid down on the couch, watching Lucky intensely. Lucky had finished bandaging her ankle and rolled down her pants. Pulling her sock back on along with the boot, Lucky laced it up, tight, but looser than before. She sighed. Grabbing a sandwich, she managed to find. It was packaged and the best before date wasn't expired so, Lucky guessed it was fine to eat.
She began chewing and heard whimpering. She looked over and Adonna watched the food eagerly. Lucky looked down at the second half of the sandwich. She sifted through pulling out some ham, Adonna raised her head. Lucky whistled and the German shepherd leapt off the couch.
"Sit," Adonna sat down slowly, starring at the ham. Lucky threw it and Adonna caught it in her mouth easily. The German shepherd happily satisfied with her feeding. "We'll go out tomorrow and see if we can find you something"
Lucky finished her sandwich before getting up. She wondered into a hallway and found a linen cupboard opening it she found towels, bathmats, washers, cloths, then she found sheets and a doona. Lucky smiled upon its recognition. Pulling the sheets and doona down with her. The house was getting colder and colder as the sun was leaving. There didn't have to be wind to be chilly. The atmosphere was doing that just fine.
Lucky wondered back into the living room. Throwing down some sheets on the couch for Adonna. Lucky sat back on the couch; a pillow might've been a smart idea. But she couldn't be bothered to get back up.
The doona trapped the warmth of Lucky's body and it circulated around her Lucky leaned her head down the armrest. Lucky's eyes slowly falling closed. Until she felt something struggling on the couch. Lucky's eyes widened and her shrunken pupils turned and saw Adonna. Struggling to get onto the couch. Her paws stabbing Lucky in the leg.
"A-Aaah! Adonna, no! You're too big-" Lucky's words were useless as Adonna managed to get onto the couch and fell forward. Slumping on top and next to Lucky's body. Lucky sighed out. "Fine, you can sleep here" she mumbled. Petting the dogs head, Lucky felt a smile come onto her lips. And her eyes slowly closed.
Lucky could hear the soft humming of someone above her. Looking down at her, Lucky's eyes opened, and she saw the red dotted eyes of the hooded man. He walked away from her bed. Leather straps keeping her in place. She yanked at her arms, to no avail.
She looked up and saw him staring at her. She widened her eyes and felt her anxiety bubble inside of her. He walked towards her and Lucky's fear grew. She pulled at her restraints, trying to set herself free.
"Easy, Clover" he soothed. Gently stroking her head. Lucky winced and flinched heavily. He pulled his hand back, looking at her like she was rabid. Lucky breathed out in fear. "You're just a little sick, it's okay. You've done well to fight it off this far"
Fight what off? What was she fighting off? Was it a cold? Or was it something else? Something worse? Lucky heard a door open and two men come through. They were the other masked man. They looked at her gently.
"H-How is she?" the goggled man, Toby. Asked. His hand cupping her cheek, even though she retreated from his touch as often as she could. The white-masked man came to the other side of her.
"It looks like she's fighting it off better than expected" he hummed. Holding her hand. What were they doing to her!?
Lucky grumbled as her eyes opened ever so slightly. A figure in her blurred vision. She felt something touch her head and slowly push it back down.
"Sleep well, Little Rabbit" she heard a voice mumble softly.

Bella hugged her arms as she walked. Her small group walked in silence; the town was eerie. A screamed silence thickening the air to the point it was suffocating. Bella's legs were constantly being weighed down
She mumbled softly to herself, gulping back drily.
"What now?" Sophia asked, turning back to where they had come in.
"We find a base to hunker down in and pray" Bella replied. Lauren nodded her head.
"Bella's right, we need to find somewhere secure so we can rest and think of a good plan"
"Guys?" Alice mumbled softly.
"Like what? We could try the houses, or maybe a store?" Arthur suggested.
"Guys," Alice spoke up again.
"Hm, it'd be best to try a house… though a small convenience store could come in handy" Samantha rubbed her chin.
"Guys" Alice's voice was growing louder.
"We'd have to go further into town for that and we're not sure what's around, it's probably smarter to find a house, then move and find somewhere safer" Bella suggested.
"Guys!"
"I agree, we need something to supply us before the sun goes down"
"GUYS!"
"Alice what is it-" Samantha asked, turning around and her eyes widening. A growling dog, rabid and having a Horder eyes. Samantha gulped backing away. Alice following, the dog snarled and its voice was morphed.
"RUN!" Samantha screamed out spinning on her feet and bolting the others following. The small group bolted down the street the Horder following mercilessly. Bella bolted to the left and flung to a house, the garage door wide open. She leapt into the laundry and opened the door. It was unlocked and the house seemed decent enough.
"In here!" Bella screamed rushing in. Arthur following, Lauren went next. Sophia and Alice flying in. Sam grabbed the door. The Horder trying to run in, she slammed the door and the Horders leg came through, scratching her leg harshly.
Sam cried out in pain, but continually slammed the door. Blooding began to slowly drip down her leg. And Sam didn't stop pounding on the door until the Horder's leg left and she kept her hand gripping the knob. She hobbled out of the way as Bella and Arthur pushed a large coffee table in front of the door.
It banged once or twice before the Horder, most likely, left. Unable to get its meal for the day. Bella huffed out in relief. She turned and saw Samantha's leg. Three long red gashes in her leg. Fairly deep and bleeding profusely. Bella cursed out.
Swinging her backpack around and searching through it, she didn't have any bandages with her. She pursed her lips. Looking up.
"We need to find something to cover that up and disinfect it, or the end result won't be pretty" Bella breathed out, Sam nodded. Before being helped down onto the coffee table. Alice ventured into the halls, searching through the cabinets and trying to find bandages or some sort of disinfect it.
Nothing.
This house had been practically ransacked. Aside the rubbish and furniture. Some remnants of clothes littered around the place. There was nothing, whoever was here- left quickly and thoroughly.
"There's nothing of use here,"
"Then we'll have to venture out and find something" Lauren mumbled. Looking out the boarded window and into the outside world. Something so familiar turned so distant and cold. Never before had she felt so scared to leave a building before in her life.

Celia felt a scream die in her throat as the wolf on top of her growled out. She paled upon seeing its face, its nose coming to hers. She breathed out shakily, clenching her fists. She slammed her eyes shut and turned her head to the side, whimpering out in fear.
"Celia!?" Spartan asked out, worrying about the petite female's sudden disappearance. He turned the corner and saw the beast. "Holy, crap!" he screamed out, stepping back. "GUYS!?" Raven and Harry came to Spartan's side. Looking down and seeing the wolf. The animal snarled.
Raven's eyes widened in anxiety. The wolf leapt forward, leaping over Celia's head and racing for the teen boys. They leapt to the side, Sparty watched it spin around quickly. He ran forward and grabbed Celia.
"Come on!" he ushered her gently. Celia nodded her head and began bolting. Sparty following. Harry and Raven not far behind.
The wolf chased them swiftly. Snapping behind them. Sparty turned and saw stairs leading to a sort of cellar below. He turned the corner swiftly and leapt down the stairs. Celia clutching onto him tightly.
Raven and Harry bolted down and slid into the cellar. Sliding across the floor. The wolf followed inside, sniffing harshly. It growled and bit at the air. Celia backed away and bolted into the hallway. Spartan following. The wolf began walking, they were heading exactly where it wanted them to go.
Celia slid to the stop. A small stoned room before her. She looked back and Spartan slid to a stop. Raven crashing into them and Harry gripping himself on the wall. The three teens fell into the room and Harry breathed out. Before feeling a heavy forced behind him, topple him forward and send him into the room as well.
The heavy wooden door closed behind them. Raven stood up quickly and bolted for the door. Slamming into it, he tried to pry it open, but the wolf stood on its hind legs. Keeping it closed, the thick and dense wooden latch fell down. The wolf leaping down with it.
The animal watched Raven's anxious face.
"What the hell…" he mumbled, turning back to his friends. "We're locked in," he mumbled to them. Celia's eyes widened in fear.
"It's for your own good"
Raven's head lifted at the sound of a darker voice. His head snapped to the left and he stared at the man in the darkness. The wolf nowhere to be seen. The man's eyes were a dim yellow and his hair the colour of a spruce tree. His skin the colour of fresh dirt, he had an earthy scent. It was thick and filled Raven's nose obnoxiously.
"What?"
"Rest," was his only response before walking away. Raven screamed out at him, gripping the iron bars of the door and struggling against them. He banged on the bars in aggression.
"What the hell's happening!?" Celia screamed out, tears falling out of her eyes. She looked up at Sparty and Harry who all remained silent.
"Something's not right" Spartan mumbled, and Harry scoffed.
"You're telling me? We see our friends die, kill each other, eat each other. Weird monsters of the undead creatures, living as if they're an actual species! Don't mention those weird masked psychos after us and now there's possibly a weird wolf man! Yeah, seems like a great Thursday afternoon!" Harry yelled.

Lucky and Adonna were walking the streets early in the morning, Lucky swinging her hockey stick onto her shoulder. Lucky's eyes looked out to the town, they were slowly decreasing their distance between them and the centre of town.
Lucky planned to rummage through a few stores, get some dogfood for Adonna and some supplies for herself. Lucky's backpack was empty except for a single water bottle and a bag of food.
Lucky yawned out, stretching her free arm. She looked down at Adonna, the young dog happily trotting next to her. Lucky looked out to the horizon, the sun rising. Lucky breathed out steadily. Time to go scavenging.
Lucky crossed a broken-down road, the building's looked the worse. The town was newly abandoned, but the buildings looked like they had somehow managed to survive a bombing. Like it killed all the people and the buildings barely got away alive.
Lucky closed her eyes, trying to block out the screaming cries of the people. Lucky mumbled softly, opening them. She wanted to know Adonna's story. What happened to her previous owner or owners?
Lucky wanted to know the story and details and see what happened to world from Adonna's eyes. A dog who may have been perfectly happy, then left to starve on her own. Lucky looked up and saw a large store. Walking inside it looked like it sold just about everything. From candy, to plastic kids toys and water.
Lucky looked down at Adonna and shrugged. They entered the building and Lucky began her scavenging. Adonna running off, sniffing around. Lucky grabbed what she could. Finding extra bits of food, water and some dog treats and dog food. She wasn't sure how long it'd last, but it'd be worth it for now. Then began searching through the counters. The cash register flung onto the floor; money sprawled across the floor. Lucky sighed.
She turned away and went up the stairs, Lucky stopped before turning around. She whistled out and Adonna's head popped up from a load of blankets. Lucky smiled before heading up the stairs, the next floor was nothing but fabric.
Useless stuff. Lucky went searching through it though. She walked through multiple aisles, her eyes looking down at yarn and wool. She looked down and saw multiple metal knitting needles. Lucky's brows furrowed.
"Couldn't hurt," she mumbled. Grabbing a couple and pocketing them. There was nothing else on this floor and Lucky looked up. The stairs leading to a third and final floor. She sighed and began climbing up.
Turning the corner, the final floor had wooden floors. They looked stingy and old compared to the rest of the flooring. Lucky looked around. There seemed to be nothing up here. Mainly more pieces of fabric and other bits and bobs.
Lucky mumbled and turned around. She stopped as she heard footsteps behind her. Her head turned and she saw orange goggles.
"Oh, crap" she mumbled inaudibly. The orange goggled man chuckled.
"G-Good to see you Li-ittle Rabbit!"
Lucky took a step back and she bolted, the man not far behind her. She crashed down the stairs and made it to the second floor, she spun around only to feel a harsh yank. Causing her to fall into the second floor further. She looked up and saw the yellow hooded man.
He looked down at her, gun in his hand. She backed away from him slowly. He stalked forward; Lucky kept backing away until she felt herself collide with something. Looking up she saw the white mask of the third man.
"Masky," the yellow hooded man said sternly. Masky looked up and nodded, gripping Lucky as harshly as he could. Lucky yelped out and started trying to struggle. The yellow hooded man cursed out. "Stop your damn struggling or I'll shoot a hole through your gut" he seethed. Lucky froze, quivering in her boots. Her ankle searing in pain.
She cried out in pain as her body weight was slammed onto it, she bit her lower lip trying to silence herself. She heard the scurrying paw steps of Adonna, the German shepherd looking up the stairs and connecting with the hooded mans back.
Adonna bolted up the stairs, shooting past as a blur. The goggle man turned his head.
"Hoodie, w-watch out!"
Hoodie turned his head and it was too late, Adonna slammed into his lower legs sending him to the floor. Lucky twisted her hand free and grabbed a knitting needle and sent it straight into the man. She wasn't sure where she penetrated, but she knew she broke skin.
His arms left her and Lucky leapt forward. The goggled man backing away from the snarling dog. Raising his hatchet to bring it down onto her.
"ADONNA!"
The German shepherd darted away instantly, missing the blade. Adonna scrambled down the stairs, following Lucky loyally. They bolted onto the first floor and wasted no time in running straight out the door and through the city. Not daring to stop.
Lucky panted heavily as she ran. Her head looking back, not seeing anyone she felt relief come over her. She mumbled under her breath as her pace slowed. She began walking, continuously looking over her shoulder- checking for something that wasn't there.
