A bloody trail, although barely visible due to the battering rain that descended from the heavens, led to a less populated location. No one would notice as everyone took shelter till the downpour subsided. There rested Jinwoo, seated upright with his back up against the wall of a CD seller shop. He had created a distraction by trapping Chaewon into a more advanced illusion thanks to his awakening. He knew if he stayed, he would be killed. How he moved, remained a miracle to him but was this as far as miracles go?
"Is this it for me?" He thought to himself as he could feel his consciousness gradually fading, the holes in his body luckily didn't hit any vital organs but that didn't make the extent of these injuries any less critical.
"Man, I wish I could say goodbye to everyone." He muttered, trying to put up a brave face but he soon broke down into tears.
"I do not want to die!" He thought. Now crying profusely, he could feel his body shutting down, his vision became blurry and his mind blank. Willpower could only take one so far and Jinwoo was at his wit ends, it could be considered a miracle he made it this far in the first place. Was this the end of the road for Jinwoo?
Geun and Dohyun are seen sitting before a figure, with his back facing them, he had on a grey beanie to hide his hair but it had a hint of red. He was dressed in a blue blazer with matching trousers. Beneath it, he wore a red shirt with a black tie and a pair of blue navy men's lace-ups shoes. He was of average height, measuring 5'10.
"I see, so you believe they are active again, you say?" The man, facing away from both Geun and Dohyun asked them.
"Yes, and they are responsible for taking the life of Master Jin." Geun would reply with a clenched fist with Dohyun noticing but remained silent.
"You fail to realize something…" The man said, pausing after as he slowly turned around to reveal a heavily bandaged face, including his eyes.
"The 10 Commandments are Legends of the Old World. And if what you said is true, you would not be speaking to me right now. You will all be dead." The man would say in a very firm voice. The Master's name was Ki-tae, he was a specialist in terms of martial art and it is believed he can take on most Abnormalities with that alone, his Archetype remained a huge mystery, even within his Guild. It was hard to give an estimate of his age due to the bandage around his face.
Ki-Tae partook in an unknown battle and knew first-hand just how dangerous a person who has mastered their Archetype was, the battle was responsible for the permanent injuries he now bore.
This is why his face was bandaged, it was scarred beyond recognition.
"This world… The mystery is beyond what you see. Do not be deceived by your eyes, for one to truly see, he must close his eyes and simply reflect. I feel the rage within you, but death is the ultimate completion of life. This law cannot be broken, not even by us." Ki-Tae said. this calmed Geun somewhat as he loosened his clenched fist.
"In the end, this is the law of nature. Man cannot defy nature, we all die, but how will you like to be remembered? This is the questions you must ask yourselves. You may be dismissed; you have both done well. Go get some rest." Ki-Tae said.
"I-I am sorry!" Geun would apologize, tears in his eye and snort, dripping from his nose.
"I am sorry for being so useless! If only I was stronger." Dohyun moved to comfort him but Ki-tae gestured for him to stay put. Losing his eyes, he had gained enhanced senses to detect even the faintest of movements from his environment.
Walking towards him, he was seen with an elegant cane, almost the same as the one brandished by Jin before his death. Guiding his way slowly, he would pat the head of the crying Geun.
"It is fine, this is no time for tears. Tears are for after justice has been served. I am filled with rage too…." The Master said, prompting Geun to stop crying in surprise. Looking up at the bandaged figure standing above him as he continued.
"….. After all, he was my brother." Ki-Tae would end the sentence with a hint of anger in his voice with the hilt of his cane fracturing...
A-Yeong was beneath a foot stand, a kind elderly lady had allowed her to share it with her on the condition that she buys something. In which, A-Yeong obliged happily, anything to stay away from the rain. The old lady told her tales of her life and her grandchildren in which A-Yeong would listen initially because of the generosity she had shown so it was only proper. But as the story dragged on, she found herself pulled within its tales. Each word elegantly intertwined to bring the best reaction from the audience which was A-Yeong. An hour seemed like mere minutes as the downpour finally eased up, the rain slowly fizzled out. And with it, came the sun, reflecting the beautiful rainbow.
It was time for A-Yeong to go, bowing to the woman in gratitude, she made her way away from the stand and headed back to the guild for she knew the Master would be interested in all that just happened.
This was an eventful day nonetheless, as she thought back at the warning Kwan gave her. This was a side she had never seen or even thought he had since she began working in the agency. But it brought a smile to her face, it was kind of refreshing to see Byung's bonds with his room-mates weren't simply that of friends, but family as well.
A-Yeong's primary assignment was to retrieve Byung. This was a direct order from Jin himself, and Ki-Tae was not even aware of this newest addition. He had assumed his brother had died without finding a successor, but this was far from the case. She wanted to retrieve him to surprise Ki-tae but now, with the sudden re-emergence of the Ten Commandments, she had to tell him but wait.
"Why was he after Kwan and Cho?" She thought to herself before her iris dilated upon reaching a spot-on conclusion and that was, they were after Byung.
Gyeong would walk into the toilet to see both Kwan and Byung with exaggerated bumps on their head, it was clear that Alice had hit them but Gyeong would blush upon meeting the gaze of Kwan.
"H-He's beautiful." She muttered but it came out as gibberish with Kwan raising a questioning brow, before looking at Byung.
Gasping dramatically, he looked at her again, then Byung.
"Byung! Don't tell me!" Kwan said, taking the role of an actor that had just discovered his partner's darkest secret. What irritated Byung was the seriousness his face portrayed.
"Kwan, don't! Don't even dare!" He warned but before he could cover the mouth of Kwan, these words were let loose "Byung! You have taken in an under-age lover!" He shouted, escaping the outstretched limb of Byung.
"You f*cking dumbass!" Byung would curse but didn't make too much fuss. Looking at Gyeong, she just stood still, ogling at Kwan with a flustered face.
"Sighs, that sure must be nice." He thought to himself. Just then, a yawning Cho exited his room.
"Hey, what is with the noise? I am trying to sleep." Cho would say, a yawn accompanying the completion of his sentence. Standing a few meters behind the much smaller Gyeong.
Gyeong would turn back and see Cho's face, but with his blonde hair blocking his eye, she could not make out his eye color but she kept staring, becoming even more flustered. Just then, Cho looked down at her before looking at the state both Byung and Kwan were in.
Turning around, he headed back to his room without saying a word, not because he didn't want but because he didn't have much energy to waste.
Something was wrong with Gyeong, she just kept staring at the door Cho entered. This went on for about 20 seconds before Byung stood up to see if she's alright but she fell in his arms.
"She fainted…" Byung would say but Kwan was busy mourning what was left of his phone.
An hour had passed, and the rain eased up. Just then, Gyeong would regain consciousness. She was in the room of Byung as Kwan, Cho, and Alice were in the neutral compartment of the house, apparently talking.
"Hey, you scared me. The f*ck is wrong with you? Don't go fainting randomly in people's houses!" He warned, like a concerned older brother.
"They were beautiful…" She muttered, still in a dream-like state.
"I see, you are just another pervert." Byung would mock.
"Huh? N-No I am not!" She retorted.
"P-e-r-v-e-r-t, Pervert!" He said once more but instead of replying, she chose to pout but then, A-Yeong's movement was registered by her 'Compass' and quickly got up but for some reason, she could not register that of Jinwoo.
"Jinwoo…" She muttered to herself with a hint of worry. Putting his hand on her head, Byung would say, "He's a strong guy, he will be fine. Trust me." He encouraged
She decided to be positive and assumed just that. This has occurred a couple of times after all. She had a very limited range in terms of her Compass Tracking. One of the major reasons Jin could sneak around as he liked without being found.
"You are right! Thank you very much, Big Bro. I will be on my way. Big sis is close by." She said, now in a jolly and positive mood.
"Big bro?" He said with a surprised look.
"I meant Byung!" She replied, embarrassed.
"Hehehe! Big Bro has a nice ring to it, kiddo. I will escort you to meet up with A-Yeong. Let us go." roughing up her hair by petting her.
"A-alright." She responded, but regardless, Byung gave off a positive energy that drew people in.
