It was the most stressful time till this point. It was the beginning of May and like last year's exam time. Like last time he gave his best for the exams. The reason why he felt so stressed was that he slept for only three hours and had no breaks. Ben had stopped for now the hacking lessons with Louis, but he still tried improving his stats, which tiring and time-consuming.
In the same time-period, he had to make a selling order for his Neurolink shares.
The value had stabilized at 1273€, which was also the selling price Ben had chosen. He didn't have the time nor the nerves to count the profit in advance.
All exams were successfully written except physics. Ben felt that the Biology exam was more difficult than the past exams. Still, Ben was optimistic to have a satisfying average grade.
At the moment, Ben was looking at the last exam of this year.
Exercise 1: (9 points) A laser emits light with a wavelength of 633nm. Calculate the frequency, perception, mass, and momentum of the photons emitted by the laser example. Derive the formula for controlling the mass
Exercise 2 (14 points)
a) Sketch and label an experimental set-up that belongs to the photo effect.
b) Explain different two experimental perceptions the reasons why the photo effect does not correspond to the classical wave theory of light.
c) Photons with λ = 364 nm fell on a zinc plate (Wab = 5.12 ∙ 10-19J). Derive a formula for the control of the fastest of the fastest continuously dissolved electrons and compensate for this.
Exercise 3 (6 points)
In an experiment, a photocell was able to determine the photovoltage U in relation to the wavelength (attention, not the frequency!) Of the behavior of light. Which of the six graphs below show the relationships between U and lambda? Justify your answer.
Having scanned the exercises of the first paper, Ben was overjoyed.
´If this continues I will be able to have a perfect score. How come I hated Physics in my last life.´
At a good speed, Ben solved the 5 exercises without any mistake. At the 6th exercise, Ben was blocked. Somehow he couldn't find the answer. He did have a few possible ideas of how to calculate, but he didn't know which way would lead to the correct answer.
Ben was locking every minute on the clock. He was so tense that thinking became more and more difficult.
´Why did I have to think that I could have a perfect score. Never think that. Maybe I should try to use this formula. No. Can't be! Doesn't make any sense…"
Conflicted about the solution and panicking about the remaining time, Ben decided to write down all his arithmetic paths.
As he was almost finished writing down the last path, the strict voice of his physics teacher chimed in: "In two minutes I don't want to see anyone writing. Don't forget to write your name."
Ben was now in the last two minutes and his head was thinking for survival.
´Only two minutes. Two minutes and I can go train in my garage or sleep in my bed. Everything will be over. I need to make a decision. Which answer seems the most realistic? I want to go home. 2 minutes. I don't want to let it end like that.´
Taking a deep breath, Ben tried to calm himself down. His thoughts suddenly calmed down. Knowing that he had to make a choice, Ben crossed out two of his arithmetic paths.´
"Everyone stops writing! If I see any pen in your hands, your sheet won't be counted." The teacher warned.
No student tried to test how true his warning was. The students went out quietly. Most of them were overjoyed to have finished this year's exams.
Outside of the room, Ben chatted a bit with his group of friends about the exams.
Everyone seemed to be happy that the exam ended. The person who was surprisingly the most talkative was his best friend Alex. Ben didn't have the chance to look after Alex so he asked concernedly about the exams. Surprisingly, Alex had easily solved the last exercises and explained it to him.
"Still, Ben. I have to thank you. Without your summaries and formula collection, I wouldn't have been as good." Alex thanked Ben.
His other friends followed this thank you:
"I didn't understand your summary completely, but it saved me from ending up with a blank page."
"Thanks, Bro. We all owe you."
"How long did you work on your summary? It was so detailed!"
…
"See you tomorrow, guys!"
He didn't stay long as he just wanted to relax and calm down.
The exam period was over. Now Ben would go back to his daily full routine.
´At least I will be able to sleep as long as I want. It also isn't as hard to motivate for something that will decide my fate. I can't wait to go back training.´
After the training, Ben sat down before the TV at home. He was now mentally and physically drained. No activity could be better than watching Netflix.
Even before his rebirth, Ben didn't watch that many movies or series, but now he almost didn't watch it at all. Ben wasn't made for anything for the mass. He liked the thrill of watching, but at the end or in the middle he would most of the time be frustrated.
Being somebody, who analyzed the scenes very detailly, he always found mistakes or an unrealistic action.
Still Ben had a few favorite series. One of them was "designated survivor". The series Ben was watching right now was the second season of "Into the night". Ben wasn't somebody that liked rewatching a series, but he had forgotten most of the story. Only knowing that it was his favorite series from Netflix. It's not just the story. Ben liked the performance of the actors, who conveyed the story in a believable and exciting way.
After eating dinner with his family, Ben stayed to watch the news with them.
The news reported mostly about politics and some national achievement. The only notable information for him was the scandal about the autonomous Tesla SS. It was revealed that Tesla had covered up two accidents with their new car. A judge had decided today that the system wasn't good enough to adapt to the normal streets and every sold SS model had to be recalled. The car has been labeled as one of America's greatest shame.
This news triggered a memory in Ben's head.
Ben climbed upstairs to his chamber. He went to his bank account and found a sum of slightly over a billion. This was the birth of a billionaire!
Ben wasn't in the least surprised but was happy to see the result of his investment.
But this wasn't the reason to go on his account. He knew that one month after the scandal of TESLA Mercedes would publish its own autonomous car. 2 weeks after the publication the car would come on the market and shortly conquer the market.
It was somehow sad to reinvest his first billion in another company. Watching the char of DAIMLER AG, Ben was thankfully happy. The value of a stock was 47.20 Euro.
Ben looked at the ask order: „47.37 x 73800".
´3.495.906 €. I can directly buy these 73800 stocks. I can already make a bid order for the rest. The volume in the stock market is 4,850,185.
4,850,185 minus 73,800 equals 4,776,385.
I need to bid for an amount to buy as many stocks as I can.
To approximately calculate how much I can buy I need to know how much I will win by selling all shares of Neurolink. My selling order was at least 1273€ per stock.
I bought 870 103 stocks with 210 999 977 €.
129 897 stocks with 25 679 400 €.
129 897 * 1273 = 165,358,881 €
—>Profit 1: 139 679 481€
870 103 * 1273 = 1,107,641,119€
—>Profit 2: 896 641 142 €
Adding Profit 1 and Profit 2 together results in 1,036,320,623 €.
Taking 28% taxes makes 290,169,774 € lose.
I will finish with exactly 746,150,848 €.
I also have to pay back the loan of 26 million. The interest of 1 % resulted in 260 000.
This only leaves me with 719 890 848.
Theoretically, I can buy the missing 4,776,385 for 150.7 each.
I don't exactly know how high the value will rise. Till this moment Daimler was very passive and didn't have any big achievements. Having the first working autonomous car on the market should at least triple the value! Right? Either way, I still have time till the announcement. I will slowly ship away the volume, beginning with 48 Euro per stock.´
Ben transferred on Efron's account the loan with the interest and sent a message to him.
Having set his mind, Ben went to bed and slept happily in a matter of seconds.
