A Try

A month passed and everything went back to normal. Yeon Ah got along with her parents; she was now staying with them. She was able to pay off all her debt and she now focused only on job and that was her café.

Except...

Except it had been a month but she hadn't received any update regarding Ji Sang. She was worried as to why Ji Sang never answered any of her calls or anything. When she asked Sungjin about this, she got to know that he had gone back to Canada.

"So, he went back!" She looked at her computer all gloomy gloomy.

When it was time to close, she removed her outfit and changed into her clothes. As she just walked out of the dressing room, she became startled to see a presence of someone in the café.

"God! You just startled me." She said when she recognized who the person was.

"How have you..." Before she could even complete her question, she was surprised by a sudden hug.

"Ji Sang..." She hesitated to hug him back.

"Please let me hug you for a while, Yeon Ah." Ji Sang tightened his hold around her shoulder.

After he got to know that his father had an accident, he immediately rushed to the hospital where his father was admitted at. And when he had just seen his father lying still on the death bed, he didn't know how to cry.

He couldn't cry at all.

All the people at the funeral hall were really irritated that despite of being a son, he wasn't even crying upon the loss of his father. A week passed and he wanted to meet Yeon Ah but he knew that if he was to meet her, he would end up crying. That is why he just flew back to Canada.

A month passed and he didn't at all feel well. He wanted to cry but his tears never came out. He wanted someone whom he can hug or talk to. There was Sungjin but he wanted to see Yeon Ah.

When staying away from Yeon Ah didn't work, he quickly flew over to his country. He waited for an entire day for the café to close and when it was the closing time, he walked in. When Ji Sang saw Yeon Ah, he immediately hugged her because he wanted to hug her.

As he felt her warmth, he immediately started crying. The tears which couldn't come out even after seeing his father on a death bed, they came out now.

They all poured down like a rain and he just held her into his arms and cried.

Yeon Ah felt the wet tears touching her forehead and she pushed herself away from him.

"Why are you... Mhmm! Ji... Ji Sang?" Yeon Ah muttered while she felt his soft lips on hers. It reminded her of the time when they both had slept together...

Well, it had all started with a kiss.

Thinking of that day, she immediately kept her hands on his chest and pushed him.

Ji Sang looked at her baffled and Yeon Ah said with her head lowered "I am sorry but I just don't want the same thing to happen again, Ji Sang. Not this time. Please!"

Ji Sang was already expecting this kind of response from Yeon Ah. He knew that even now she would not accept him. And it was all fine. He was bale to hug her, see her and cry in front of her. That was what he had come here for.

So, he said "Okay." And turned around to leave.

Those words made him realize that they never were meant for one another. He was angered but he also knew that he had to maintain this friendship. If not in this lifetime, then maybe some other time, he would confess his feelings and be with her.

With this thought in mind, Ji Sang thought of leaving.

Yeon Ah noticed Ji Sang walking towards the exit. She only wanted to stop him... She didn't wanted him to leave. So, she asked "Where are you going, Ji Sang?"

Maybe she should have kept a control on her tongue cause when she asked him, she saw him turn around and show his face which was with tears.

Ji Sang turned around only to show a face with tears falling out of his eyes and a forceful smile. He kept his hand on her head and patted her. "If I stay, I don't know what I might do to you, Yeon Ah. You have been a good friend to me and I am thankful for that. And I atleast want to keep some friendship in between us, Yeon Ah!" He moved closer and touched her right cheek.

It was soft and smooth. His eyes fell on her lips which he had just kissed and he just wanted to feel them again for one last time. But for the sake of the remaining friendship which he had with Yeon Ah, Ji Sang decided not to.

Just as he was removing his hand which was touching her cheek, he felt a hand over his.

Ji Sang looked at Yeon Ah surprised and when he looked, he noticed the water forming inside her eyes.

Yeon Ah felt a lot of pain through his words. It just felt as if she was the one who was getting hurt. She didn't even realize that she was crying after hearing him.

And so she said "I never said that I want you to go, Ji Sang. I just told you not to do the same thing again."

As he heard her words, an amazed expression came over his face and he asked to verify "What? What do you mean?"

After Ji Sang left to Canada, Yeon Ah had a different sort of loneliness within herself. She was spending time with her parents, doing a fine job, having some laughs with people she knew yet... there was a loneliness which she couldn't understand why.

It took her a month time to realize the reason why she was feeling lonely was because of Ji Sang because after she felt Ji Sang's hug, she no longer felt lonely instead she felt so alive that she couldn't stop herself from hiding her tears.

She was successful in hiding her tears until she saw him leaving. Watching him go, that same lonely feeling came in her heart and she started to cry.

"I think I want to try." She said with a doubtful tone in her voice.

Well, many relationships start from being friends, so, Yeon Ah also just felt like she could give it a try. And so, she said "I hope your offer for going on a date is still available?"

"Offer? Date?" When Ji Sang heard these words, he was completely puzzled. He couldn't even make out a proper sentence and he stuttered.

"Yes. Let's go on a date if your offer is available." A blush appeared on her cheeks as she replied to his stammer. Ji Sang recollected his thoughts after hearing her and he smiled. He gave a big smile that reached up to his eyes and said "Yes, the offer is available, milady!"

Yeon Ah chuckled upon his words and they both walked out of the café after closing it.

After going on a few dates together, Yeon Ah realized that the guy whom she should have dated from the start was Park Ji Sang and not Yoon Taemin. The person to whom she should have given her first to should also have been Park Ji Sang and not Yoon Taemin.

But she really felt like a dumb because she couldn't understand her friend who had been liking her since middle high school and yet she claimed to have had a really best friend in her life.

So what, if your best friend is your boyfriend or husband? A relationship all starts with a friendship!

Finally, Yeon Ah decided to marry Ji Sang and settle for good.

Things went really great between the two and they happily married one another.

Park Ji Sang was now a successful man with a happy wife. Well, there were ups and downs in his life but he was glad that he didn't give up and fought till the end.

Surely, in life there are many ups and downs but when a person fights through it, he realizes how lavishing and amazing his life is.
