A Birthday Wish

"You are not doing the right thing, Ah-Yeong." Ah-Yeong who was walking inside her room was stopped by her mother. She turned around and looked at her mother who was glaring at her.

"What am I doing wrong, Mom?" Although she knew what her mother was trying to say, Ah-Yeong was in no mood to quarrel with her mother.

"Sang Hoon is a good guy and the person whom you are with... he is not a good guy. Just leave him and live a better life with Sang Hoon."

Ah-Yeong gave an annoyed look at her mother and rubbed her forehead.

She took a deep sigh and said "Mom, I am in no mood to argue with you; so, please... just please let me have a rest. I will talk with you later."

She kissed her mother's cheek and walked inside her room.

"Have a good night, Mother!" She bid her mother goodbye and closed the door after her.

"Phew! That was close...." She took another deep sigh and stretched her neck.

*KNOCK-KNOCK*

Ah-Yeong ignored the first knock which came on her door and began to undress herself. She took a navy-blue silk night gown and wore it. She tied her hair in a loose ponytail and sat on the chair applying her night cream.

As she stared at her neck which was having hickeys, she slightly chuckled thinking about Dae-Hyun.

"Idiot! Despite of telling him not to kiss on the neck, he kissed me."

*KNOCK-KNOCK*

When another knock came, Ah-Yeong grunted and stomped towards her door. She quickly opened the door and barked without seeing who was standing in front of her.

"I told you right? I will speak with you in the morning. Why do you have to knock again and again, Mom?"

"Is... something... the matter?"

Hearing a man's voice, Ah-Yeong quickly looked at the person who stood in front of her and widened her eyes in surprise.

"It is you!" She exclaimed.

After everyone had left, Sang Hoon quickly walked back to his room to check out Ah-Yeong's gifts. He took out the denim jacket from the box and wore it.

"Wow!" A compliment escaped his lips as he was astonished to see himself in a jacket. The jacket was a little tight but it looked good on him. A bashful smile came over his lips and he rushed out of his room to show Ah-Yeong.

He knocked once and he got no reply from her...

So, he walked back into his room and took one glance in the mirror. He combed his hair with his hands and again rushed to her room. He knocked another time and began playing with his feet while waiting for the door to be opened.

When he heard the clicking sound, he looked up only to see Ah-Yeong in a night gown and in a grumpy and annoyed mood. The irritated look on her face made her look more beautiful and he couldn't help but stare at her.

A stuttered question escaped his lips and he noticed the surprised look on her face.

The swift change of her expressions from annoyance to surprise made the butterflies in his stomach flutter more rapidly. A tingling feeling roamed all over his body and he felt the blood gushing to his cheeks and making his face feel hot.

"Did everyone leave?" And he broke out from his euphoric moment when he heard another question from her.

"Yes. They just left a few minutes before." Sang Hoon replied while looking down.

Soon after he looked up because he could see her long milky legs which were exposed due to her short night gown. And when he looked up, he saw her black eyes which were looking at him.

"You had something to say?" Ah-Yeong asked while noticing his shy look. Ah-Yeong had long forgotten that she had worn a night gown which was sleeveless and was showing her long milky legs and hands.

Dae-Hyun's face crossed her mind and she said to herself inwardly 'Dae-Hyun would never be shy like this...'

"You... don't notice anything different?"

Sang Hoon had thought that seeing him wear the jacket which was gifted by her, she would be glad. But hearing her ask about what it was, he felt a little disappointed. Ah-Yeong closely looked at Sang Hoon and noticed the jacket which he wore.

A bell rang in her mind and she said "Ahh!!! The jacket..."

"Yeah..." Sang Hoon gave a big smile which indicated that she guessed it right. However, his smile turned small when he heard her say in a low whisper.

"It looks good on you!"

"Only good?" He asked feeling a little dejected.

"No, you look handsome!" She gave an agreeable nod and repeated her words. "Yes, you look handsome!" This thing felt childish to Ah-Yeong. Like a guy who was now thirty... how could he even act so childish?

Sang Hoon gave a boyish smile and said "Thank you! This will be a memorable gift for me."

Then, Sang Hoon's eyes again fell on her long legs and he began to wonder if she wore these dresses every night... This was actually his first time knocking at her room before sleeping and so it was his first time seeing her in a night gown.

Well, whatever she wore, she was pretty but in this night gown... She was really outstandingly breath-taking.

And involuntarily words escaped his lips "Can you grant me one wish?"

Just like Ah-Yeong, Sang Hoon himself widened his eyes in astonishment.

Although he said that sentence easily, he hesitated later on when Ah-Yeong asked "What wish?"

For a while, he thought and said "Since it is my birthday today... I thought I could ask you for something."

"Like?" Ah-Yeong questioningly looked at him and asked.

"Umm... Like sleeping together." Didn't know why but his words were just escaping his mouth on his own. It just felt as if someone else took control over his body and that he was saying everything non-stop without any thought.

"What???"
