The Search For Love

The delicious aroma of different foods made Mirae's stomach growl. She quickly walked towards the dining table and stared at the various dishes kept on the table.

As she began to sit, she saw James approaching the table with another dish in his hand.

"I didn't know what you would like so, I just made a few dishes which I feel are good." He placed the last dish on the table and started serving one by one in Mirae's plate.

"Thank you!" Mirae knew that if she was to say more than that, things would have to wait... she didn't want to wait because she was so hungry.

Just as she was about to take her first bite from the chicken, James stopped her and placed a bowl of soup in front of her. "I think you should have that first... it is good for headaches."

Mirae took the spoon and drank the soup. It didn't taste bad. It was good. Maybe this guy was more or like a chef rather than a designer. Mirae felt so full after having food cooked by him.

She wished that she could have food prepared by him more. Who knew that her wishes were going to be fulfilled one by one?

"WHAT?"

"WHAT THE F*CK JUST HAPPENED?"

When Mirae narrated her side of story to her friends, Ga-Eun and Soo-Ah, they both became at a loss for words. They looked at one another and then examined their friend thinking if she had taken some wrong pill or something to cure her headache.

"Is it true?" Ga-Eun asked to confirm and Mirae gave a nod.

"DAEBAKK! Amazing. Really amazing!" Soo-Ah clapped her hands upon listening her friend's story. She still couldn't believe what her friend told so, she slapped her shoulder.

"Is it for real?"

Mirae again gave a nod and soon was taken into an unexpected hug by her friends.

"Ouch! Ouch! You guys are suffocating me."

Soo-Ah and Ga-Eun were so happy that their friend had made some progress. They really were right about their friend's beauty. It was just she had always hidden it inside and not allowed her beauty to shine all because of Yeonjun.

As Soo-Ah and Ga-Eun indulged in conversation among one another, Mirae sighed and stood up. It was really useless to take advice from her friends regarding relationships... cause they would never tell her to reject it rather they would suggest her to accept it.

Mirae would also love to be with James but she still wasn't sure that she wanted him or something else other than him. She couldn't even understand if she liked James or not.

All she could say was that she liked his company. She liked being with him and talking with him. Although, they did meet coincidentally like for two or three times, Mirae liked talking with him. His accent was cute and he was very handsome. But she didn't know if she liked him or not.

The next day at work, James couldn't believe that he couldn't focus at his drawings. He wasn't able to give ideas to his clients, he wasn't able to do anything because his mind was only being distracted by that one woman.

Her unique fragrance, her smile, her abrupt questions... these were the things that were distracting James.

He didn't know if it was love or something but all he knew was that he wanted to meet her… AGAIN!

And hence, after work was over, he hurriedly rushed over to the café where Mirae walked only to see that the café had been shut down for renovation purposes.

"F*ck!" He cussed and looked here and there trying to check for some note or something. But there was nothing other than this that the café would reopen after some two months.

"Two months? I don't even have her number... Ugh! Seriously? This is so f*cking bad."

And feeling dejected, James drove back home.

Shortly after, Mirae stepped out of the cab and looked at the café which was suddenly shut down due to renovation work. She stomped her feet in annoyance... Her story was just going to start, and this is what happened?!

Mirae knew about the news, but she had just come over here to check whether James had come or not... Seeing no one around, Mirae sighed. She took out earphones from inside her pocket and plugged them into the phone.

Hearing some songs would heal the dejected feeling in her heart.

Soon, an idea popped into her mind, and she began to search for James Park on a social media platform.

"There are too many James Park... but not him." Mirae again sighed and closed her phone and kept it inside the pocket.

The mellow and relaxing music made her feel at ease and Mirae walked till the bus stop listening to it. Soon, a bus came, and she reached home easily listening to the soft music. Reaching home Mirae changed into her night clothes and laid down on the bed.

She closed her eyes and rested for a while.

*DING*

A notification popped on her phone and Mirae quickly opened her eyes and looked at her phone hoping to see a notification from a strange number but when she saw a message from Soo-Ah, she sighed and replied her back.

They began to text for fifteen or some minutes and soon bid goodbyes.

Mirae again opened her account on her phone and again searched for James Park. She threw her phone aside when she didn't find any related result to her search.
