Roles Reversed

"Did I prove it now?" Da-Jung asked as she covered herself with the blanket and shifted close to Woo-Jin who was staring at the ceiling while being in deep thoughts.

But after hearing her question, he faced her and shook his head. "Not yet! There is still one more thing to be done!"

"One more thing?" Da-Jung looked back at him questioningly and Woo-Jin nodded before rolling on top of her. He kissed her neck and said "Yes, one more thing and you will know it when we get back to work."

He pecked her lips and got out of the bed leaving Da-Jung in deep thought.

"What else is left to prove?"

Something around two in the afternoon, Da-Jung and Woo-Jin left the house together for the company. Walking out of his house, holding his hands, and sitting inside his car; everything was surreal for Da-Jung.

She had never expected that a day like this will also come after their four years of separation. Nevertheless, there was one thing that made her doubt if this all is true or not. And that was, the second thing left for Da-Jung to prove.

If she would not be able to prove whatever it is, then she can assume that their newly born relationship would just go back to how it was before.

"WHAT? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?" As soon as Da-Jung heard what Woo-Jin asked her to do, she just couldn't believe her ears. A frown grew up on her face and she looked at him as if what he said was something really crazy.

"You don't have to frown like that. What I said and what you heard is absolutely correct and I want you to do that. If you can't do it, I would consider that we are done!"

"WHAT? ARE YOU CRAZY? HOW AM I EVEN SUPPOSED TO SING ALONG WITH YOU DURING THE CONCERT?" Da-Jung cried out loud as she placed her hands on her hips, looking all astonished by his words.

But this didn't bother Woo-Jin. His lips turned upwards into a smile and he walked to the table where the jug of water was placed and poured some water in a glass.

"What how am I even supposed to sing? You just have to use your lips!" He drank the water and shrugged his shoulders as if indicating that it was an easygoing task.

When Da-Jung gave another dumbfounded look at him, Woo-Jin drank the remaining water in his glass and continued "As far as I know… you sing well. It was always your dream to sing on stage in front of a vast crowd. And moreover, you have a wonderful voice! So, JUST SINGG!" He again shrugged his shoulders.

"Heh!" Da-Jung scoffed and walked towards him. They were ten to fifteen steps apart and she covered that distance and stood next to him. She took the empty glass from his hand and placed it on the table.

"Thank you for thinking about me…" Da-Jung stopped what she was saying. She was thankful that Woo-Jin remembered about her dream, and the way she sang. She stretched out her hand and placed it on his right cheek.

Da-Jung caressed Woo-Jin's cheek and continued after taking a deep breath "Even if it was my dream to sing in front of a vast crowd, that doesn't mean that you would make me sing in front of your crowd. They are your fans; they like you and they would like to hear from you not from some unknown women who recently appeared on papers!"

"No! That's not what I wanted… you see…"

Da-Jung placed her index finger on his lips making him quiet down and held his face in her hands. She let out a small chuckle and said "I really appreciate your thoughts, Woo-Jin Oppa! But I do not want you to ruin your career. I'm happy to just be on stage with you as a pianist. So, no matter what you say, I won't be able to do this to prove myself; if you ask for something else, I would be willing to do that but not this, Woo-Jin Oppa! It is your concert, not mine!"

"But…"

As Woo-Jin tried to argue with her, Da-Jung inched closer and cleared the distance in between them by giving a kiss on his lips.

"If you want me to do something for you, then let me propose you!" "Like old times!" Da-Jung broke off from the kiss and looked into his wide opened eyes. Another laugh escaped her mouth and she let go of him.

Hearing her words, Woo-Jin felt like he could faint anytime. He drank some water straight through the jug and looked at Da-Jung who was taking out something from her bag.

"Are you saying it for real?" He asked not being able to believe her words. He pinched himself to make sure that he wasn't dreaming and when he felt the pain, he asked her again.

"Is it really true? D…Do… you… want me… t…to ask you t…to d…do t…that?" He started to stammer. Although his plan of making her sing in front of the entire crowd failed; Woo-Jin just couldn't miss this opportunity of making her propose to him.

After the concert was going to end, he was going to propose her. Now, if the chance came before the concert, Woo-Jin just couldn't let go of it.

Da-Jung took out a box from her bag and giggled when she saw his cute, surprised expression. She nodded, sat down on one knee, opened the box and asked while showing the same couple ring which they had worn when they were married "Would you like to marry me, Yang Woo-Jin… Oppa?"

As soon as Woo-Jin heard her, he felt warm tears escape his eyes. It was as if he just wanted this moment to happen. Surely, Woo-Jin waited a long time to get close to her and make her his wife again. And now that she was proposing him, he was more than happy.

He continuously nodded and Da-Jung giggled again. She inserted the ring in his finger and Woo-Jin did the same.

"Thank you!" Da-Jung said and kissed the ring which she had worn.

"Thank you!" Woo-Jin also copied the same and kissed the ring in his finger. He looked at her and Da-Jung wiped his tears. "I didn't know you were a crybaby!" She began to tease him.

"I too didn't know that you would be the first one to propose me!" Woo-Jin wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close. He had a mischievous smile on his face.

"Hah! Eight years ago also, I was the first one to ask you for a date and marriage! Hmph!" Da-Jung snorted and tried her best to hide her playful smile.

This time, Woo-Jin took the initiative to close the distance in between them. He kissed her lips and the newly re-established couple kissed one another until they were out of breaths. There was no stopping soon.
