"Good morning, my dear wife," Marcus whispered the next morning. It was the first day of them being husband and wife.

Nikka felt his lips softly touched hers as she was waking up. She smiled and slightly opened her eyes. How good it felt to wake up in his arms!

"Good morning," she whispered back. She still could not believe how the weeks passed by so fast.

They had a simple ceremony with just a few guests. It was a simple garden wedding in the Hamptons. It was held at Olivia's own house. Olivia had arranged everything from the decorations up to their outfits in just two weeks. She was the perfect wedding coordinator and to think she was so jealous of her.

Olivia was married to a wealthy businessman and had offered her house for their wedding the following day after the gala. She said it is her wedding gift to them, as her parents and Alfred were really good friends since college. Nikka also learned from Marcus that they never had any connection aside from being close friends. Although she had a slight crush on Marcus before, it actually went away when she met her husband in college.

"I'm sorry, Nikka, for how I behave last time. You see, Marcus has this reputation with women and I just loved teasing him about it. I don't mean to offend you. I'm just a very tactless person," she admitted while they were choosing a wedding dress that time. "I'm glad you accepted my offer."

She just smiled. Somehow Olivia reminded her of Vera. They were both very vocal. They might become good friends, too... maybe someday.

After a few tries in wedding gowns, Nikka finally chose a beaded strapless off-white wedding gown with an organza trail. Then, her hair was tied up into a messy bun with a few strands on the side of her face and she had a very simple light pink lipstick and make-up that just gives her a natural look. She wore the pearl earrings her parents gave her on her eighteenth birthday, along with it's bracelet and the heartshaped necklace that Marcus gave her.

She felt so special as she walk down the grassy aisle with pink rose petals. All eyes are on her as she walked by herself, and somehow she wished her whole family was there. She held back her tears as her eyes focused on Marcus who was wearing an all black suit with white long-sleeved buttoned down shirt underneath it. His hair was swept on one side of his face, and his eyes never leaving hers. It was a breathtaking moment and the most wonderful thing that ever happened in her life.

Olivia's house had a guest house detached from the main and that is where they were staying now. It had glass windows with a simple balcony overlooking the sea. The whole property was perched on top of a high ground with a stony pathway going down to the sea. She could hear the birds chirping outside their windows and a little beam of sunlight came into the room.

"Do you want to go for a swim?" Marcus asked, whispering in her ear.

"No. I want to sleep," she replied as she closed her eyes again. Her whole body still wanted to stay under the covers. She felt exhausted from the wedding that all she wanted to do was sleep the whole day.

"C'mon, sleeping beauty. Today is our first day as husband and wife. Let 's go for a swim while everyone is still asleep or... I will wake you up."

"Hmmm..." she replied, dozing off again.

Marcus smiled and gazed at her, admiringly. He still couldn't believe she was his. Today was the start of their journey as a married couple. His heart longed for her for so long that now she was here with him, it still felt like a dream.

He started teasing her lips slowly. She slightly parted her lips and he took them as his hand slowly ran up her bare legs under the covers. She was wearing a pair of white sleeping shorts and a pink t-shirt. She moaned as her senses awakened by his touch. He deepened the kiss, as his hand reached under her shirt touching her waist. He then ran up his hand in her back, taking off the clasp of her bra. His whole body heated up as he felt her skin.

Her hands held onto his neck pulling him closer. Marcus' hand continued to explore her body, gently running throughout her back and she moaned. Her body shook from the sensation it gave her. He wanted to explore more of her. His brain was so clouded with desire that it was hard for him to let her go yet he knew he needed to. He continued to kiss her, more hungrily, drowning himself in their kiss, and closing his fists as to stop himself from exploring more of her body.

They're both breathless as he let go of her lips.

"Nikka.." he whispered. "I'm supposed to wake you up but.." he chuckled. "I think you're the one who woke me up instead."

She let out a shaky breath as desire awakened all parts of her body. She didn't know how far she wanted him to go but somehow, she felt getting more comfortable with him. Perhaps this is how she heals... to let herself go completely with what she felt for him.. to focus on who she is now.. with him and not the woman that has been hurt by Philip.

She needed to stay at the moment. Remember everything about Marcus. How he kisses her.. how he is gentle with her... his love can erase all those bad memories with new ones. She needed not to be afraid anymore. Marcus is here... he is hers forever.

Her heart slowly closes up the wounds from the attempted assault that she had gone through with Philip. This is what she needs.. someone who will pour out his heart for her.. respect her... love her as a whole.. and see her as the woman that she is. Someone who puts her needs first before his..

"Marcus..." she started.

"I'm sorry. I got carried away. Just need to cool off to tame myself," he said, smiling. She could feel him pulling away from her but she held onto him.

"Stay," she begged. "I need you."

He laughed and caressed her cheek with his finger.

"I won't be far, sweetheart."

"But I want you here.. I want you, Marcus... now," and he pulled him for another kiss in which he obliged.

"What.. What do you want me to do, Nikka?" he mumbled as his breathe heavily one her lips. Anlittle more and he was anout to explode.

"Touch me... kiss me everywhere, Marcus," her desire built up as her heart beat faster, anticipating what could happen next.

Longing to set herself on fire, burning with so much desire and love emanating from her body as dicatated by her heart.

"A-Are you sure?" he stuttered. The invitation just made him excite more. He longed for it that he knew any moment now, it would burst into flames, rapidly spreading within himself.

But he needed to be sure...

"Yes," she whispered. "I am ready, Marcus."
