Chapter 34

"So, Xavier. Why do you call me?"

Ruby slowly approach him as she walks in the laboratory. The 50's aged man look at her with his glasses hanging low on his nose. He was checking if everything was all well prepared.

"Oh, Rue! It's been ages seen I last met you!" He open his arm wide to offer her a hug.

"Well you see me today. Now long story make it short." Ruby coldly says to him. Xavier frowns and put down his both arm that is wide open just now.

"Okay then...." Xavier sulks like a 5 years old kid who was disappointed.

"Hey, look at her. She is a wonderful result isn't it?" Xavier look down at Fana as Zachary make a small speech.

Ruby stare at him with her cold gaze. Xavier could feel chill running down his back. He hurry up and pick up 2 files from his desk.

"Here's for you. I wanted you to get this to the genes department and the other one underneath it is your new identity documents and information. Now you are free to go and meets yours sister."

Ruby calmly take it from his hand. She smirks as she saw the document that belongs to her. Finally she could regain her freedom again.

"Thanks a lot Xavier. Maybe if I am free I will make you tea when the next time I visits you. Bye then! "

Ruby takes her leave and quickly rush out. As soon as she exits the laboratory, Xavier smirks and took out his walkie talkie.

"Execute her right away."

"Roger that." The buzzing reply from the walkie talkie makes him satisfies.

"My, my.....what a pitiful child. No one could get out from here once they started it." Xavier mumble to himself as he go trough the files that's filled with Fana's information.

"Here you go."

Ruby give the documents to the departments and leaves. As she closes the door behind her, she heard a few people was chatting. When she wanted to leave, she heard that the experiments will have a higher chance of failure that success rate.

"I am not sure if it will go well..."

"I also have no idea how to recreate the same genes as her's..... "

"I know right... if we overdo it.. she will die as well for over dosages....."

Ruby was shocked to hear that. She quickly walks away. She gets her phone and try to call his foster father.

"Come on....come on...pick up the phone Zachary....."

After a few attempts, she couldn't get trough his phone.

*Baam*

Ruby hits someone that's blocking her way. They are a few people of man who is well equipped.

"Get out from my way!" Ruby forcefully demands.

"I am sorry,Miss Rue. But we are ordered to execute you from Xavier."

"What....." Ruby was stunned by that statement. She slowly back off. The turns her back and runs towards the exits on the opposites way.

On the sharp conner she turns right and accidentally bumps a young men that she never see before.

"Hello! What's with the rushing?" He playfully asked her.

"There no time to explain! Now run!!" Ruby grabs his hand and runs together with him.

"Hey!! Slow down a bit!!"

*BANG!*

The shot guns fire was nearby them. Ruby decides to hide in the store room that is not far from where they are.

That young men follows her as he was dragged by her. Ruby pull him close to her and hide behind the huge boxes.

She didn't notice that he was so close to her that she could feel his heavy breath was brushing against her neck.

Ruby turns her head and his face are so close with her. His purple eyes met her's and she blush so hard. He smile warmly to her.

"Hi! I forget to introduce myself. My name is Lucas. Nice to meet you. I assume you know my bro Lucien, right?"
