Chapter 46

"Hey, Aunt Lilium!"

Lucas waves to Lilium who is discussing with an officer who is in charge to records every evidence they found on the scenes.

With her face covered with wrinkles, she give him a smile and waves back at him. Then the officer bows to her and leaves her behind.

Lucas quickly warps his arm on her neck from behind.

"My, my! Lucas seem to grow lot taller then before, right?" She said.

Lucas lazily places his chin on her head and started to complain about his life.

"Aunt Lilium, lately I didn't even eat and sleep well. I miss your signature dish, ramen with fish filet tempura. And I miss to see Bryan. How was him?" He asked playfully.

Lilium pull down his fluffy cheek, forcing Lucas groan in pain.

"Ouch!!" He groan.

"Hmm. You seems to be slim down a bit since your cheek are not as puffy as usual." She said.

Then Lilium pinch both of his cheek and pull it like mochi.

( Mochi is Japanese rice cake made of mochigome, a short-grain japonica glutinous rice, and sometimes other ingredients such as water, sugar, and cornstarch. The rice is pounded into paste and molded into the desired shape. In Japan it is traditionally made in a ceremony called mochitsuki. *I google it in case you if you don't know what is exactly mochi was. And I love mochi a lot. I wonder if they will fill in the mochi with potato one day...LMAO* )

"Looks like I need to make you well-fed then."

Lucas was happy to hear that Lilium going to cook for him.

"Hank fiue unt yiyiyum! I fa fe yapie gif wiue luie fe jo nao. Itz furt a flot... (Thank you Aunt Lilium! I'ma be happy if you let me go now. It hurts a lot...)" Lucas mumble as he can't speak properly since Lilium keep on pulling his cheek.

"Opss! My bad!"

She lets go of him. Lucas rubs his reddish cheek slowly as he pouts his mouth like a baby. Lilium can't help but to chuckle as she look at Lucas cheek.

"Okay, okay. It was my fault but I miss you a lot Lucas. You have not been home for the past few weeks." Lilium told him.

Then she pets his head as Lucas lower his head. She really miss the good old day where he use to be so tiny and always clinging to her. Even now his old habit never changes.

"Remember to be home at 8 or else you and Lucien won't get any meal for dinner." She warn him with her hand clutching on her waist.

"Okay then. I will be home early but now I want to head out for a bit." Lucas said.

He waves her goodbye and walks away. She couldn't believe that time have fly so quick.When she first meet him when he was 5.

20 years ago.

"Hello there!"

The young and energetic Lilium waves at Lucas who was terrified. His little body was trembling with fear as Lilium try to get close to him.

Lucas was one of the childrens that's save from being a 'lab rat'.Lilium feel that something is wrong about him. She was worried that he may have a sudden shock from being kidnapped.

"Hmm....okay then. Remember to eat on time ok. Later the doctor will come in and give you a quick check up, okay?"

So, she decide to give him sometime to calms down so she went to check other kids. After one by one child she meet and make a quick report. They were all look afraid but at least they are willing to talk with her.

Soon she arrived at the room where Lucien was placed. Then she notice Lucien's hair was white colour and his eyes seems so unnatural light blue.

"Hello, Lucien! How are you feeling now?" She asked him as she flip through the information about him.

Lucien stay quite and didn't mutter any single word, as I expected.

"Do you know anyone or maybe do you remember your mother and father name's?" She asked.

Lucien just look outside the window and keep on mumbling someone's name.

"Lucas...." Lucien keep on mumbling his friend brother's name.

"So...Lucas—" She says the wrong name.

"Lucas? Do you know where is he, miss?" Lucien reacted as Lilium says his name.

"Yes. Do you know him?" Lilium asked as she was surprised to see him reacted a lot just to hear that name.

"No... but his brother asked me to take care of him. Can you bring me to meet him?" Lucien asked Lilium while holding her hand tightly as if was desperate to see him.

"Sure, BUT after you get a lot more better okay?" She said.

Lilium pets his head and Lucien just obediently let her pets him. She write reports about Lucien and heads towards the head quarter to submit her report for the day.

"Sir, where should I put these?" She asked to an officer who seems busy typing something.

"Oh, Lilium! You can just put it on the table over there. Thanks a lot, Lilium!" He thanked her.

"Okay. Then I will place it here." She replied.

She accidentally knock down some paper on the table. She take it one by one until she saw Lucas's information.

Lilium gets very curious. So she decided to flips the paper and notice that in the information wrote he have an elder brother but have died because of the mass experiment.

"So, his brother was one of the victims... No wonder Lucas was afraid of me..." She mumble to herself. She feels bad for the little boy who was once live in the orphanage with his one and only brother. Then his only family died and leaving him alone.

"Okay then, I heading home sir."

Then he wave goodbye at her and continues his work.

On the way home, Lilium was thinking how does Lucien know him and why does he want to meet Lucas as soon as possible? She shakes her head and try to clear her messy mind at that moment.

'Okay then, lets get to know Lucas better first!' She told herself.
