Here At The Slums

Mimilia, Subaru and Rem arrived at the now known slums.

It's a very old place with very poor families and people, and that's one of the reasons why it's scary.

Rem has been here before, and everything seems to be the same as before.

Rem looks at the both of them.

Rem heard Mimilia say Subaru's name, meaning they were here last time, but the only difference is that it's already night.

The sun is currently setting, so that means that ugly bastard from before shouldn't be here, which relieves Rem greatly, but ever since that encounter the strange memories still reside inside of her head.

She still can't get it in her head if it's a real thing that happened or not.

But Rem is theorizing she has a save point system, and the first checkpoint is the appa stand. If it was a dream, then she must be really sleepy still.

She can go try to die and check, but it could also be a horrible nightmare, so risking her life is absolutely not the best way to prove it.

She can't choose to go back to that checkpoint or anything, so that's one that doubts Rem's theory.

Subaru looks around.

"I can already tell that these people are not friendly. They're not friendly at all."

Mimilia: "I just feel bad for the other people here who don't deserve this kind of life.

It's simply not their fault that they were here."

Subaru looks to Mimilia.

"Don't worry! When you win the throne. You'll be able to help them! I believe you can, Mimi!"

She smiles at him.

It's not much, but it's still appreciation from Subaru.

"Win the throne…?"

Rem asks.

Subaru looks at Rem, which he kind of finds weird. She should've known Emilia is a candidate for a royal selection, but it could also mean that Rem is pretending to not know and trying to blend in, but he decides to ignore her.

Rem looks to the side, scratching her head and she feels like she did something wrong again, but she doesn't know what she did.

She doesn't know what's happening.

It really sucks that Subaru doesn't trust Rem and he has to look at her to make sure she's behaved.

Rem's Thought's:

"I appreciate his concern, but he should be spending more time with Lady Mimilia.

She's more important than Rem here.

She's just  trying to just help and maybe once she's done. Rem can start looking for a life. Where she can be happy and proud.

But right now, there's not many options in this world and she can't read any words here.

Which is going to be hard if she's still interested in music and singing.

She needs to learn some things.

Mimilia was right about her.

Rem really is a dumbass.

But she shakes the thoughts out of her head as she focuses on why she's here in the first place. It's to help Miss Satella get her Insignia back from a little girl who stole it.
