Chapter Twenty-Seven: Why is she angry?

Clair smiled. "Okay give them a few minutes to practice and we will start shooting again." She told him and the director nodded his head.

"Who gave you the right to adjust the script of such an important movie?" Someone interrupted. The director gulped and everyone else turned their heads to where the voice came from.

The voice was of a woman and she seemed as equally intimidating as their CEO. A handful of people recognized her quickly but Clair didn't. She was not interested in knowing who this person is but instead on why she's here questioning her decisions.

The woman looked around her age and maybe two years younger than her. She came forward and faced the director. "What is going on? Do we allow anybody to edit our scripts now? I have been gone just for a few months and a nobody thinks they can do whatever they want?" The woman questioned.

"You must be the lead actress right? Miss, it doesn't matter what role you have in the movie, you are not allowed to-" Her loud complains were stopped by Clair's chuckle. " Let's start filming again. I don't have time for this." Clair said and walked back to her chair. The woman frowned.

"Do you know who I am? I came here to inspect the set from Sorries Entertainment." What the woman said caught Clair's attention. Sorries Entertainment is the company under DavisJoe. Their collaboration on 'The gap between us' is to settle the rivalry between Artiste Entertainment which is her company and Sorries Entertainment.

And this woman came to inspect her set? Is she joking?

"Ms.Novoa this is Ms.Yves our CEO." The director introduced them to each other. Crystal Novoa was a bit surprised but her expression changed. Why would she have to fear this woman? Even if she is the CEO it doesn't matter after all the company she comes from is at the same level.

The only thing she was forgetting is that Clair is the owner of the company and she on the other hand is not. "Miss Yves if you wanted to do a change in the script you should have consulted us first. After all, this can be considered as a breach of contract." Crystal told her calmly this time.

Seeing the woman finally stopping her ruckus Clair decided to talk to her in a civilized manner. "I signed the contract myself I'm aware that I should have to consult the other party first. For that, I do take fault." Before Clair could continued Crystal interrupted.

"Fine. To keep things peacefully I suggest we keep the script the way it is." Crystal told her and Clair shook her head. "Not possible." Having said that Clair turned back to leave. Her words were final and she was not planning on changing any of her decisions.

"What? You have no right to change the script! At most the author himself should give permission. This is clearly stated in the contract." Crystal insisted.

Clair sighed and turned back around. It seems she has encountered a stubborn b*tch that loves having everything her way.

'Unfortunately sweetie I'm a bigger b*tch.' Clair mused.

"So you are saying I have no right to edit my script? I don't know why this Miss is so against me. As an inspector from the other party, I believe the right thing to do is to check what I'm changing and come to a reasonable decision with me instead of creating an unnecessary scene." What Clair said was not wrong.

Yaci, Lukas, and Jennifer simply watched the show and didn't interrupt. They knew Clair would handle it perfectly.

"If DavisJoe will send such scandalous people to inspect my set and strip me of the right to edit my script them I must end the contract this instant. I don't mind paying the compensation." Clair's aura was cold. Crystal was shocked.

Her script? So she's the mysterious writer behind it all. She wanted to say something back but there was a sudden commotion and everyone turned their heads to the person who had arrived.

"Ah! It's the CEO of DavisJoe."

Clair's face darkened. 'How ridiculous.' She thought. She looked around her and found all the women blushing and squealing. Even Crystal herself blushed and she gave the sweetest smile to no one in particular.

Clair then looked at Jennifer who had an eyebrow raised interest. Seriously? Is he that hot?

James arrived with his PA following behind him and a few bodyguards. Clair watched in amusement as Crystal immediately ran to his side and clung onto his arm. She was pushed away slightly and Crystal stiffened but her smile was still present.

"Why has the filming stopped?" James questioned but he was looking towards Clair as if looking for an answer.

"There seems to be a problem with the CEO. I came here to inspect just as you told me. I didn't expect you to show up so suddenly." Crystal voiced out.

The director came forward and calmly explained the situation. Clair didn't speak she simply stared into James and maybe into his soul with a glint of coldness in her eyes. She was so annoyed. Why is he so reckless? Can't he sent better employees? She would have to speak with him about that.

"If you have a problem with me editing the script as I like then I will compensate you for canceling the contract. But before that, I think I deserve an apology." Clair told him and James didn't give out any of his thoughts in his expression.

Clair didn't want to be petty but she naturally is so....

"For the misunderstanding today we should not end the contract. I'm sure we can fix this." He responded and Clair scoffed.

"Mr.Davis there is a difference between a misunderstanding and disrespect. My company is no less than yours and this contract is equally important to me as it is to you. For the sake of that, I will let this 'incident' go. I simply hope for an apology and ask that you send a more professional employee next time." Clair explained.

"An apology? Why the hell should we apo-" Crystal glared at her.

"From now on I will inspect the process personally. You should leave." James told Crystal coldly and she clenched her fists tightly. She was escorted out and when she was finally gone Clair also turned around to sit back on her chair.

"Miss Yves I sincerely apologize for the actions of my employee and I assure you it won't happen again." He told her. His PA stared at him in shock. Did his boss just apologize to someone?

"It better not," Clair replied and told the director to start shooting again.

Clair sat in her chair angrily and tried to concentrate on the scene. She sighed at how easily she got angry this time. In reality, though she had done a great job at controlling her temper.

She just hates it when someone thinks they can make her abide by what they want.

Sitting in another chair across the room James frowned. "Why is she so angry?" He whispered. Jace his PA cleared his throat before answering. "I heard the author of 'The gap between us' has a very deep attachment to the masterpiece. Since it has been revealed that she is the woman behind it she must have taken offense." Jace explained.

"Send her away again," James ordered. "Sir, we sent Miss Novao away five months ago wouldn't her parents be angry if we do the same again?" Jace asked.

"I don't care just get rid of her. " James replied and continued observing Clair from the distance.
